My post has nothing to do with lunch, that was just the first thing that popped into my head. Let's see, well if you're reading this blog, then congratulations on not getting bogged down with everyone (except Sai) updating last week. I don't have much to address right now, so I'll just get to the post.
Monday:
After I posted, I did some Guild Wars and got some farming done. I told Steven about my weekend encounter with the alliance battle and he got back into Guild Wars.
Tuesday:
It was rainy and I had math homework I had forgotten and I didn't feel like going to Law since all I would do was math homework anyway, so I stayed home. I got it done a lot faster than I would have in class and I got an extra hour of not having to be up and at school. It was also nice because I was at school just as long as usual because my trumpet lesson ran long when my teacher and I wound up talking for half an hour until the next girl came in and told us she was too sick to play and she was heading home. At that point, we both left because we realized we had been talking for half an hour. After that, Steven and I played a buttload of alliance battles.
Wednesday:
Steven came over and we played about 4 hours of alliance battles before Halo 3 on xbox live then him leaving. It was quite fun to get in all the gaming time and I hope we keep doing that in the future. Maybe not so much now that Orion will be back, but next year, we should do that regularly, Steven.
Thursday:
I went over to my aunt's house and we fixed up her brick walkway with my grandpa's help. He apparently laid the cement before (which explains why it was really cheap and crappy) and he helped us figure out how to level out the huge-ass dip in the walkway. I also got to meet the real estate agent. My aunt was apparently told by the stagers (people that tell you what to put in what room to help your house sell (the theory is it shows how the room can be used)) that she should take out her TVs. Ok well I can see the computer going, but why in the hell would we try to make people think they wouldn't need to watch tv? That was the one suggestion by them that was really stupid I thought.
Friday:
I had really wanted to skip because it was a nice day, but I'm glad I went to school because we had a non-rehearsal day in jazz band where we just go through old tunes for fun. It was indeed fun. After that, I tried one of my section leader's mouthpieces for fun and it doubled my comfortable range. Then Jim came over and handed me his trumpet and showed me how much my trumpet muffled my sound. I guess my trumpet and mouthpiece combination has been like holding 3 baseball bats when all along I could have been holding the one when I was at bat. Anyway, I'm now on the market for a new trumpet and mouthpiece. At the very least, a new mouthpiecce. After school, I didn't do much outside of alliance battles and farming asuran points. The asuran points took up most of my weekend because it was a bonus points weekend for stuff like that. It's basically a minute long segment of something that you do for a very long time, much like getting the Mile High Club achievement in CoD4.
Saturday:
I had to do the Earthcorps thing again. This time, it was at least really nice weather, though my nose got sunburnt. I also got to be more social this time because Justin's younger brother was there doing his honor society hours. Though I didn't talk to him that often in high school, it was at least nice for both of us to have someone to talk to. It makes the work go by faster. After that, I had to go to a funeral for my aunt's best friend's mother. My aunt's best friend is close to the family, so it's not so obscure that we went. She's like a more distant aunt almost because we see her so often. I finally got to meet her son, who it turns out actually knows Davis and knew who I was talking about before I had to mention "sideburns" or "tendinitis." His name is Jesse (Jessie?) and he's in your theory class. I asked if it was the one with the Russian lady and he said yeah. He also said you are teaching him jazz stuff. I shall talk to you about it later. Anyway, after that, I came home and did 7 hours of asuran point farming.
Sunday:
We got up early to meet my grandma in Centralia at this country cousins restaurant for Mother's Day brunch. It was nice. After that we came home and I spent the rest of the day (3pm-11pm) farming asuran points. I got very close to maxing the title.
Today:
I had class as usual today. I found out I tanked on a recent calculus test (of course, by "tanked" I absorbed all the damage and got a perfect score). After school, I got my title maxed, then got a new shield from Steven that will actually be useful to me. I have band coming up soon.
So yeah Orion comes back this week. I'm trying to get my IAS required volunteering in this week as well. Unfortunately, I have Victoria this weekend so no hanging out on my end will occur, but I am back next week and next weekend. I have Mariner's tickets for Memorial Day weekend's Sunday, but around that, I'm good to hang out. Of course, I also have random aunt and grandpa's house jobs to do now and again. Ok well I'll see y'all soon hopefully, peace out.

An even workier week

There's a little picture that just popped into my head last week. It's a car joke, so I apologize Davis as you will probably not get it. Well if I thought I was working a lot last week, I was sorely mistaken. I did much more this week. Though I was sore for the last half of the week, I must admit, it was a good workout most of the time and being outside for once did me some good. I think I'll leave this intro short and I'll get into my post.
Monday:
Band went well. I still haven't gotten to try out the 2nd horn part I made, but we will be working heavily on it today, so I'll see how it goes. One thing that DID happen though is that it was announced that Kellogg (one of the bands that will be at the 3 band concert) needed people to help them play RUSSIAN SAILOR'S DANCE. My hand shot up faster than I knew it could, so that will be sweet. After band, I watched more 24 only to become more confused at where this season is going.
Tuesday:
I had a good trumpet lesson, then I came home and played some Starcraft with Steven.
Wednesday:
I had school as usual, but then instead of gaming right away afterwards, I had to go out to lay down some sod at the pool. I was helping out the guy who was doing the landscaping (he's also a member and a neighbor). The sod laying went well, though the rolls were heavy and I only lifted and moved them and dropped them (u kraine!) for 3 straight hours. My arms were quite sore after that, but it was a very good workout. Also, myself and one of the guys that did the landscaping got into a good groove and we finished off 3 stacks of 60 rolls before the rest of everyone had finished off their own stacks. We were quite pwnage.
After that, I picked up Steven and we played some Soul Calibur 2 until dinner, then some more. I am definitely not as good as him, but I'm not really terrible. Button mashing is a legitimate strategy. I did like on the first match when he said "Let's see if you can hit me" and I proceeded to win. Voldo rules. After that, we played some Halo 3 on live and did adequate. Hopefully Steven gets a 360 someday so we can pwn up Xbox live together.
Thursday:
I went over to my aunt's house, but we couldn't get a rototiller, so I did some small tasks around the place then came home. I had about an hour before I had to leave for the concert. I was taking our vibes there and they are on very loose wheels, so I got to set up a labyrinth of bungee cords to keep it from falling (or moving even). The concert went well. We played after a middle school band and before Roosevelt. Roosevelt was very good. They got to use a jazz french horn (which I have wanted to do for quite some time). He was really good at his solos even though he sounded like a trombone.
Friday:
I had only one class because Law doesn't meet on Fridays and Jazz Band had the day off since we had our concert the day before. We had a test in Calc that I probably got raped on the first page of, but oh well. After school, I went and rototilled my aunt's yard after taking my grandpa to costco for lunch. After that, I met up with Stashley and Sai and we went to Alderwood to see Wolverine. It was quite good albeit short, and there was even a hidden nipple in it!!! I really enjoyed the "I'm the best at what I do" reference and it made me think about how it sucks that M:UA2: Fusion won't come out in time for this summer, but I'll still be getting it. After the movie, we all separated (except for Stashley who probably got closer as they neglected to get on for some Starcraft with Sai and I). Sai and I actually wound up not doing Starcraft because his CD key wasn't working.
Saturday:
I did the EarthCorps thing. It was pretty boring even if there were some really cute supervisors. I singlehandedly terraced a hillside and fell a couple of times before learing to use my pick to hold myself up on the hill. It was rainy and muddy after a while, but we did a good job there. After that, I hung out around my house for the rest of the day. I finally got to see "A Scanner Darkly" which was good, but the animation got in the way at times. It felt like watching an Ask Scwhab commercial.
Sunday:
I spent 8 hours cleaning my room. We're doing that big richmond beach yard sale (while I'm in Victoria unfortunately). Come by and buy my crap! Anyway, there were at least 2 people working in my room at all times, but it's still not done. I like what's gotten done so far though. I took down some old Star Wars posters from Episode 1 that I was tired of looking at and I replaced them with a more awesome Star Wars poster (The Empire Strikes Back poster) and a Mariners 1995 team poster. I also got to finally hang up the Dread Vale (just for you, Davis!) We haven't gotten to the side of the closet that I'm hiding the Sheer pwnage monitor in yet, but it is imminent, so prepare to say goodbye to that. Ah well.
Today:
Not much happened today. I did come up with a cool idea for a novel that I hope I someday get the time to write. If you really want to know, you can ask me about it. Anyway, not much else is going on. I'm about to play some Guild Wars with Steven. I played some alliance battles this weekend and I liked it (probably because I nuked 4 noobs by myself and harassed them for it). Anyway, that's it for now. Peace out.

Work Week
Ok before I start, if you haven't read the previous post, feel free to do so now, I really won't mind. I know Orion saw it, but for the rest of you, it was my fault that I didn't say I was going to update later on during the week. Anyway, if that whole type of post isn't your scene, then don't worry about that. That being said, I think I'll get into the last week.
Sunday:
Since I was really tired when I got back, I was almost falling asleep throughout the afternoon regardless of what I was doing. Luckily I had no homework. That night around 8:00, we all sat down to watch some TV. Dad had hurt his leg, so he was laying on the floor which meant I got the whole couch to myself, so I laid down on it. I forgot that I tend to fall asleep on that couch even when I'm not tired, so I fell asleep (pretty hard) at 8:30 and slept straight until 11:00. I guess my family was shaking me and putting the cats on me to try to wake me up, but I was Steven level passed out there. Anyway, I woke up in a huge daze and then somehow managed to take a shower and get into my own bed where I slept hard until the alarm woke me up.
Monday:
I got up an hour late since we had no law the whole week. It was also nice because since I had no Jazz Band, Math was my only class. I was only at school for 50 minutes before I got to go home. I would have just gone to sleep again, but I had band so I couldn't. Band went well. They still hadn't found a second horn part for one of the songs, so I took home the conductor score for the piece and I used it to make a second horn part for myself. I'll be seeing how it works tonight and hopefully I didn't make any errors.
Tuesday:
I actually had 2 classes. They were very easy though. After Jazz Band, I had my trumpet lesson. I got in a little trouble because I hadn't practiced my stuff in over a week (not that I ever do anyway, but usually I can sight read the stuff we do well). Luckily I got to play the jazz band trip card and I got out of trouble. I forgot to practice this week too, crap. After that, I went over to my aunt's house and met up with my second cousin and we worked in her yard for a few hours. I pressure washed her brick walkway for about 2 hours. I don't think it had ever been pressure washed. It went from being dark almost black in places to bright red and tan all over. It was very strange to see that much of a difference.
Wednesday:
I had 2 classes again. After school, Steven and I played about 8 hours of Starcraft. It was really fun.
Thursday:
I had all three classes, but Law was easy because it was an in class exercise that I was proctoring. After school, more Starcraft ensued. Steven figured out how to wall in well and now I'm working on it too.
Friday:
2 classes before some Starcraft. Eventually, Steven wound up making a macro for a gun for Starcraft to impress people. While he was doing that, I signed on Guild Wars to check what the deal was with the big update. It's a really awesome update full of cool shit I wish they had given us when we played all the time. Ah well, hopefully this stuff will be around for Guild Wars 2 (which I expect everyone to get so we can get some pwnage Teriyaki...pwnage going).
Saturday:
I had to do my service learning from 10am-2pm. If nothing else, it was at least a good workout. The guy that hoarded the shovel was a useless douche that only tried to pick up chicks. I got a ton of blackberry bush scratches that look really cool when you're there because it's like "Ooh, he's taking the job seriously and he's really contributing." Unfortunately, when you leave that place, it just looks like you lost a fight with a kitten and they just exist to itch and burn when you're in the shower.
Sunday:
We dropped off our 5 broken TV sets (three were my grandpa's from the 70s and 80s) at Goodwill, then we went to my aunt's house, got more goodwill stuff, then went to my grandpa's and got his extra TV to borrow (our upstairs one crapped out). After that we came back here and dad and I built our new barbecue. Our old barbecue, which was about 7 or 8 years old had been missing the ignitor for the past 4 years, and only one side worked at a time (first, the left side broke, then more recently, the left side came back, but the right side broke). Anyway, our new barbecue was christened with really good steaks that I will probably never have again. It's a nice barbecue though, we should totally have some stuff from it when we hang out this summer.
Today:
Not much has happened today. I've been doing the usual routine.
So yeah I'll be going to my aunt's house later in the week. On top of fixing my aunt's house and cleaning my grandpa's house, I now get to help clean our house for the yard sale coming up on May 16th (when I'm in Victoria unfortunately). I'll still try to find time for everything I do (shouldn't be hard). Pure Pwnage hasn't said when the new episode comes out yet, but I hope it either comes out on a Saturday night or Memorial Day weekend otherwise I might not be able to go see it due to my service learning and needing to be there to get class credit. It came out on a Saturday last time though, so we could still be fine (I get off at 2, so we would just have to haul ass a bit). Aside from that, it may only be week 5 for Steven and I, but I'm looking forward to summer when we shall meet up and do pwnage things. Peace out until next week.

What's On? Firefly.

Firefly is a science fiction series that aired on Fox from 2002-2003. It was cancelled sadly after just 14 episodes. Since its cancellation, it has achieved cult status. I personally wanted to get into the show when it came out, but I was too young to watch it, so when it was cancelled, I forgot about it for a long time. I recently rediscovered it when I thought about it and then realized I could probably find it on Hulu.
The premise of the show is that there are 9 people on board a Firefly class ship (named so because of their resemblance to a firefly) named Serenity. On board, we have:
Mal Reynolds- Mal is the captain of Serenity. He's a very sarcastic guy, but he obviously has a conscience and he cares about the safety of his crew.
Zoe Washburn- A long time friend of Mal, Zoe is a very loyal companion who is very cool and collected at all times. She is married to the ship's captain.
Wash Washburn- The ship's captain and sometimes the comic relief. He's a skilled pilot and he doesn't get as much screen time as he deserves mainly because he's behind the controls of the ship most of the time. He has good lines when he gets to move around though.
Inara Serra- Inara is a companion, which is basically a classy whore. In the future, whores are prostitutes that aren't registered with the guild. Companions are very graceful and elegant (a stark contrast from modern day prostitutes) and they are actually looked up to in some circles.
Jayne Cobb- I don't know why he got a girl's name (frankly, it confused me for the first 4 or 5 episodes when I was surprised to see a man answer when they yelled out Jayne). He's the strongman that carries all the guns. He's slow witted, but handy in a fight and he somehow winds up being the butt of most of the jokes.
Kaylee Frye- The ship's mechanic. She's very spacey and innocent minded. She's one of those characters that it's hard to watch at some times because of her trusting nature and her strange ability to see what's good in everyone even when there isn't anything good in them.
Simon Tam- The ship's doctor. He and his sister River are on the run from the Alliance.
River Tam- Simon's sister and an escapee from a secret alliance training facility. Nobody knows what happened to her in there, but it obviously made her somewhat crazy.
Shepherd- I don't know if they ever brought up this guy's name, but he is always called shepherd. Basically, that means he's a travelling pastor. He is very calm and seems like a pacifist, but he hides a wide array of useful skills.
The series takes place in the year 2541 I believe (might be a few years off on either end). Earth was used up and humanity moved out and terraformed a bunch of "new earths." These new earths became fronteir worlds and some more central ones became large cities. The fronteir worlds are very much like scenes out of an old western movie. It is those worlds that give this sci-fi series a much more distinct western flavor than other science fiction series and movies. Another thing that sets Firefly apart is that it does not have any aliens. At all. Everyone is human and frankly, it was a nice, new perspective to have on science fiction.
Before the series begins, some big events went down. The centralized planets decided to form a government called the alliance. Many were opposed to that and there was a big war over it. Mal and Zoe fought side by side in that war, which helped build their trusting friendship. Unfortunately, the alliance (which was funded far better) won. Mal decided to get away from it all, so he bought a ship and he set sail to wherever the space winds blew him.
The crew of the Serenity are basically smugglers, but they also help out people on fronteir worlds if the money's good enough. The nine people all bring different points of view to the show that make for some good dialogue opportunities. The writing is very good, although I still have no idea why they always swear in Chinese. It was never explained, but there are websites that translate what they say and some of the insults are pretty funny.
The show was unfortunately cancelled after just 14 episodes of which many were aired in the wrong order. I believe that the show was cancelled due to lack of interest (duh) caused by the times it was aired in. The show is essentially about defying a government and the show was aired around the time between when 9/11 happened and before we invaded Iraq. During that time, people weren't really up for a revolt against the government. I believe that if the show had been aired during the waning years of the Bush presidency, it would have done far better and we would probably still be watching it now.
All in all, Firefly is a great science fiction series that you should definitely find time to watch (you won't need a lot of time). If you like it, I'm told you would like the movie as well (Called "Serenity"). I haven't seen it yet, but I would figure it's good since it is basically wrapping up the series.
Well that does it for this round of "What's On?" Remember, this is not a regular post, but it does come again. My next series will probably not go by as quickly as this one did. Ah well, tune in next time.

What's On?
So like many college students, I now find cool ways to combine things in my life, such as homework and TV, videogames and TV, or TV and more TV. I'm not actually at the TV (unless a Mariners game is on), but instead I've discovered Hulu. Notice it has replaced my galvanize link. I'm sorry Galvanize, but you have not existed for 2 years now. It was time to go. Anyway, this TV watching gave me an idea. I figured I should make a post each time I finish a series to tell you guys about it. It will make me feel slightly better for not hating on things recently (I hope to do it again soon). This type of post is going to be very random because TV series last different lengths of time and my amount of free time varies, so this is not a regular segment, but it will be a recurring one. Of course, as with all recurring posts, this one will get a label so you can go back and look at it later. I'm going to do some stuff now, but I will make my first post of this nature tonight or maybe tomorrow. I just want to make sure people read this post first.

I should have broken up this week into two posts
Yeah I was actually planning on posting about my week on Wednesday before the trip, but I figured I wouldn't have that much to talk about after the Texas trip. Well, lesson learned and I was quite wrong. As for why I'm posting on a Sunday, it's because my Law professor is gone with DECA this week and we are not meeting. Along with that, Jazz Band has the day off tomorrow because we spent the whole weekend being jazzy. So basically my only class is math and I figured it would be stupid to add an extra day that would consist of "so far nothing has happened except my math class." Ok, with that out of the way, how about I jump into the week?
Tuesday:
I had school as normal, but had to skip my trumpet lesson so that I could make it downtown in time for the Mariners game. I took the bus to near dad's office and met him there, then we walked about 10 blocks to Safeco. The game was really good. We were in the upper deck, but it was still cool. When Griffey ran on the field for the first time, it was absolutely crazy in the stadium. They had obviously planned on cheering for Griffey taking a while, but it lasted longer than they thought it would, so they had the next guy in the batting order run out so they could get on with the show, otherwise Griffey would have gotten cheered for until well after the game was supposed to start. Every time Griffey had an at bat, he got a standing ovation. It was really cool for me to see my favorite professional athlete back in Seattle. Another cool thing about the game is that it was my first professional sporting event that I was ever at when it went into some kind of overtime/extra innings. It only lasted into the 10th until we won, but it was still cool because I had never been at a game when something like that happened before. After that, I had to hurry back to SCC for a 2 hour jazz band rehearsal until 10. So if you were reading carefully, I didn't really spend that much time in my house that day.
Wednesday:
I spent the early afternoon doing homework, then contemplating whether to post, but eventually deciding not to because I didn't think I would have enough. As I now realize though, it would have been better to get this stuff out of the way. After Steven got back from his special lecture with Ashley, we proceeded to join a huge-ass Runescape group in a PvP server and we just dominated everything we came across. Steven and I got some good loot, but not a ton because in a group that size, it's hard to be the guy that deals the most damage.
Thursday:
I had my classes as usual, then Chris (lead alto), Steve (lead trumpet), Dan, and I went to Gordito's, then the airport. We met up there with everyone else and then checked in and waited for the plane to arrive. One of our instruments was a big 1.5 foot long, 6 inch diameter " the metal enema" shaker. Jim (conductor) had some fun times while getting that through security. Anyway, the plane ride was cool. I sat next to Dan and I spent the flight playing Fire Emblem and he read a ton of this textbook on music producers. Our flight got in at around midnight. After that, those of us that didn't drive the rental cars got to wait an hour and a half at the airport for the rental cars to show up. After we got to the hotel, we went out to a diner nearby. On the way there, this girl trombone made a joke about what the University of North Texas college radio station's callsign would be (KUNT). During the meal, Jim asked everyone if they wanted to go "See UNT." After he said that, the girl and looked at each other because we were the only ones that caught it at the time and we both just broke into laughter. Nobody else got it until later. The waitress there was really nice and she had a voice that was the voice you get when you smoke cigarettes for about 150 years. Anyway, after that meal, we all went back to the hotel to go to sleep. I guess some people were jamming downstairs in one of the many conference rooms in the hotel, so our bassist, guitarist, and Dan jammed with them. I was with the two "older" guys in the band. Not that they're really old, but they're the oldest guys in the band. It was nice though because that meant I was in the mature room, which is really handy when it comes to sleeping.
Friday:
We listened to some groups perform for their competitions earlier in the day, then we all split up to go to our respective "Master Classes." Steve, Chelsea, Jim (since he's a trumpet player irl), and I went to our trumpet one. The guy teaching was knowledgeable, but tried to crack too many jokes for my taste. I did learn a good amount from that class though even if it was basically what my private lesson teacher has been telling me for a while now. After that, we had to warm up for our set. We were doing good in there. When we got on stage and performed, we didn't do as well because the setup was funky and we couldn't hear the drums. The other two trumpets were competing with each other to lead the section on being in time, while I just thought "Fuck it" and I played in time with the trombones because it felt right. In the end, our clinic judge said we did very well. We didn't do perfect I know, but it was still nice to hear the guy say we did so well on our songs especially since we're a two year band amongst all these great 4 year university bands. It was cool to be invited to this thing and to be compared to all the other bands. Not much happened until later in the night. We had tickets to see the North Texas University one o'clock band. The unfortunate part was that seating was limited and if we wanted good seats, we would have had to sit through the jazz vocalists (eww). I popped in and out a bit as other people did throughout (not what she said). During that time, there was a boozer going on amongst our band. About half of the people were legal. When more and more people joined in, I hung out with Myles, our lead tenor who's actually a really funny guy, since he also doesn't drink even though he's definitely old enough to. We went and watched the UNT faculty perform and then some buzzed band members showed up and hung out with us. The one o'clock band was excellent as usual even if they took way to many encores. They had a really hilarious bass player that made a sex face while he played and he hunched over his bass and thrusted himself at it when he played, so it really looked like he was humping his bass. So while all that was happening, off in other regions of the hotel, people were getting drunk and whatnot.
Saturday:
Around midnight, a bunch of us went into a vacant conference room for a late night jam session. Some cool people from Tennessee, Florida, and California showed up and jammed with us for about 3 hours. Eventually, the other people got tired and the session broke up, but it was cool to just be able to play and solo a bit for 3 hours. Steve, Megan (one of the bass players), and I went on a beer/David is thirsty and wants milk or apple juice or something run. It was unsuccessful, though we did discover a Steak N Shake that I was very excited to see. After that, we went back to the hotel and picked up some more people and went to STEAK N SHAKE!!! for a nice 4:30 am snack. The lady there was the only waitress on duty at the time and she was really cool. We later referred to her as big momma because she was a whole lot of woman. After going back to the hotel and hanging out in the hall for a while, I finally got to bed at 6:30am. I woke up at 10:57 (needed to be in the lobby at 11:00 if I wanted to go on a tour of the UNT campus). I saw the clock and I thought "Oh shit!" and I got up and dressed as quickly as I could and got to the lobby in time. The campus tour was cool, especially because we stopped at 7-11 on the way and I got a slurpee for breakfast (I ate very well while I was there). It was a nice enough campus. The squirrels are insane and the ants are as well. There was a lot of eye candy in the gym there. Jim decided to have a 3-point contest while we were in there and he missed his first shot, then on his second shot, he said "Man, I haven't played basketball in like 5 years" and proceeded to swish a three pointer. For lunch, everyone got together and went to a really good barbecue joint recommended to us by big momma. I wanted to go back and give her another tip for that suggestion, it was a great place to eat. Later in the day, all but four of us went to the Rangers game. It was really fun to be there because it was a nice stadium and we got to root for the royals. Our thing was to do the clap pattern from the opening of "working at the car wash" that goes clap.......clap.......clap...clap clap clap clap clap. We would say Royals over the last 2 claps. At one point, some guys behind us decided to yell "Suck" after we said our thing which was pretty funny. We did it again, planning to say "not as bad as the Rangers" right after they said suck, but they didn't bite that time. In the fifth inning, if the Rangers scored, we would have gotten free tacos, so we switched to Rangers fans for that inning. It was very funny when we did our clap thing but instead said "Rangers" and the guys behind us said "Suck" before they could realize what we said. Everyone nearby had a good laugh about that. Unfortunately, the Rangers suck and we did not get free tacos. About 3/4 into the game, a severe weather warning was issued which I guess is a suggestion to head downstairs if you're in the upper deck, so we did. People stayed up there, but I'm glad we didn't because we were able to jack some sweet vacated seats on the third base line where we proceeded to annoy everyone as we cheered the Royals on to victory. The sweetest part was that the Rangers came close to winning before their hope was completely destroyed. After that, we went out in search of a tex-mex joint and found a good one.
Today:
After we got back to the hotel, we went and found a jam session going on. Most of the stuff had been packed up, so only piano's remained and maybe a stray bass here and there if you were lucky. We came across a vocalist and a pianist and a bassist and a drummer playing together. They were really good and more hot vocalists showed up, so the three of us that shared a room (me, our lead trumpet, and our pianist) decided to hunt down another room to play in. We were soon joined by our Bari player and we jammed for about four hours since we had to leave at 5 in the morning anyway. It was fun because we found a room with a bass and a conga. I would have hopped on the bass, but I suck even when there are frets, so I was totally lost. The conga was fun to play though. Eventually, the four of us just practiced soloing and it was really helpful for me at least to learn more about soloing. I'm slowly getting better and hopefully when I increase my range more, it will be better for soloing. We went straight from jamming to packing up to leaving. It was pretty boring from there. I fell asleep on the plane, then played Fire Emblem for the last hour or so. When I got back here, I had some homework to catch up on, but not much else.
Well that's that. I'm going to have more time nowadays. I still won't be good to go on Saturdays, but during the week I will. I'm going over once a week though hopefully to help work on my aunt's house or my grandpa's house because we're getting closer to the big move and it makes everyone's lives easier if I can come over in the middle of the week and take care of some odd jobs here and there. I think I'm going to be digging up a brick walkway this week. Anyway yeah, talk to me if you want to do something. Other than that, peace out.
Distraction post

Not that I need to distract you from the looks of it (no comments), but I came across this paper when I was cleaning my grandpa's house and I liked how it failed to prove the point it tries to make. Maybe it's actually funny or maybe I'm just becoming too much of a lawyer. Either way, this post is being made in place of a Things I Hate. If you haven't noticed, it's been more than a month since I last posted one. It's getting harder and harder to find things to hate, so I may be introducing a new regular post to go in the Things I Hate gaps. Right now, the front runner is a regular post abour random things that I come across that I really like (Things I Like?). Anyway, here is a nice religious post for all of you, enjoy. The parts I like most are the parts about how they washed dishes and how they needed God's help to find open space in the desert.

Honorable Mention
Well I was informed that the Blizzard Theme Park Contest was decided. Unfortunately, Gantris VI did not win, but it did get an honorable mention (which I was honored to recieve (only slightly less honored than I would have been to win).
The link to the honorable mention page: http://www.blizzard.com/us/misc/contests/blizzardthemepark/
Mine is the 2nd one (the one that looks like mine).
The first place one was this:http://www.blizzard.com/shared/blizz-com/images/misc/contests/blizzardthemepark/starcraft.jpg
I don't usually say things like this, but I feel like I should have won. I mean, don't get me wrong, this guy's drawing was leaps and bounds better than mine, but I just thought my ideas were more witty and frankly, more relevant to Starcraft lore (which is what the contest called for).
Oh well, maybe I'll win the comic contest (if I ever get around to entering one of these months, haha).

Me: holy shit my math book is so ghey

it's like YOU JUST TOLD ME WHAT THEY ARE
Steven: welll
it doesn't tell you what country you are in
it could be dollars
or it could be pesos
Me: haha
good point
you have redeemed my math book

Chug-A-Lug
So this has been a pretty good past week. Things are all funneling nicely into place before I leave on Thursday for the Jazz Band trip, then when I get back, much free time shall ensue. I'm hoping we get D&D going someday. The only days I won't really be available for D&D are Saturday and Sunday. All throughout the weekdays, I'll be good to go. I've also noticed that my homework load is very light this quarter. Looking ahead, it's not going to get much worse, so weekdays are going to be more and more open as the quarter goes on and as I slowly have less commitments. Ok well anyway, I'm going to get on with the post, which will be a normal formatted post.
Monday:
Band went pretty well. My friend in the trumpet section that is also in Jazz Band quit band because she said she is getting her credit for that doing something else that meets on a better day for her. For what it's worth, I can still talk to Erik and Darren or Dan if I need to, but mostly I just sit around until class is over. Victoria is coming up about a month from now and that's going to be pretty cool. Hopefully Dan and I won't be tagged along to by the others. That is my only worry, that I will feel forced to spend all my time with the Shorewood guys. It probably won't happen though as the three of them are tight and they will not probably not notice/mind if I'm not hanging out with them.
Tuesday:
We had not much going on. I started doing my homework during math class again because I find I can pay just as much attention while doing my homework as I can while doing nothing or playing calculator games, but at least this way, I feel productive. Nothing much else happened that day.
Wednesday:
We had our last jazz band rehearsal of the week. We decided to not meet on Thursday and instead, we are meeting for 2 hours to get in a really good rehearsal tomorrow night. Mr. Sisko had one of his students from another band there that day and he was pretty good at trumpet, but the other two didn't like him. He was not as good as them and he was kind of a cock. Naturally though, I tolerated his presence. We traded off between third and fourth parts and on one part, he gave me third and it had a solo so I asked if he wanted it back and he gave me a cockly reply that "It's just blues, that's the easiest thing you can get." Ok well sure, but I haven't kept up on my theory and for those of you that don't know, over the solo, you have stuff like G7 or something like that above the bar and that is supposed to immediately tell you what notes to play. Well it does exactly that, but I'm not good at translating that fast, so my solo consisted of basically quarter notes as I quickly tried to figure out the notes as we went along. About 8 measures in, Sisko stopped the band and gave me pointers on how to solo well and even talked about "jumping off points" for potential teachers in the band and gave me a few good notes that would work throughout the solo and when I just played those notes, I had a far better solo. Granted, it was just 3 notes with different octaves, but it sounded much better than before. Because he did this, I now like Sisko better than Doug. It was really cool of him to help me out like that without making me feel embarassed since I blew (the bad kind of blowing) on the solo the first try.
Thursday:
We had a trumpet sectional instead of Jazz Band. After that, I had to go to Magnuson park for my service learning orientation with EarthCorps. When I get there and park, who should show up in the car behind me, but that nerdy guy from class. It turns out he's actually pretty cool, but I still have the desire to either pwn him in a trial or get teamed up with him for an unstoppable force of domination. There were 2 hot girls in the place that were seniors or juniors I can't remember. I would say a mack battle occured, but I was the only person there with any mack (even my little amount was enough to win). The guy coordinating the volunteer stuff is really cool. He has a big, bushy beard and it's easy to tell he would be an environmentalist by looking at him. The really cool thing about him though is that he also has a mole and not only that, but it's in the same place mine is. The service learning stuff will take place on Saturdays throughout the quarter. This means that from here until June, I will not have any normal Saturdays. I will either be doing service learning or I will be on a band trip. The rest of my weekends will be made up of homework and work on grandpa's house or my aunt's house.
Friday:
I went and met grandpa and my aunt at Costco for lunch, then my aunt came back here to do her taxes, then I went over to grandpa's house to fix up stuff for the following day. I finally finished our swivel chair. It looks nice for having originally been a pile of garbage.
Saturday:
Dad and I met grandpa at Costco for lunch, then picked up food for dinner after the work party that day. After that, we went to grandpa's house and started fixing stuff up. The rest of the family arrived shortly thereafter. All of them worked inside and I worked outside. I was the only one outside because the inside stuff is all trivial crap I don't care about and I'm the only one trusted by grandpa to work with stuff in the backyard. People were saying we shouldn't throw too much away from the backyard because grandpa can't take that stress, but he and I have like minds and we know what's really up. We know that if we go with their plan and wait until he's moved out to throw everything away, EVERYTHING will get thrown away. Now the thing nobody gets is that there's a ton of good stuff he has laying around. The good stuff is under the garbage, you just have to look. I'm pretty much the only one who's found it. The other one is my second cousin and he has been taking whatever he wants for a while, which is good because he uses it and it's stuff we don't have to get rid of there. So grandpa and I are trying to get stuff that isn't really garbage by any standards out of the shed and the backyard and to a safe place (my house where it will get used) and we figure it only makes sense to throw the garbage away as we go along.
Sunday:
I had the Mariners game on all day and I was doing some homework. After that, dad decided we should go use my Joe's gift card that I got for my eagle ceremony in December of 2007, since Joe's filed for bankruptcy and isn't getting money and my card could soon be worthless. We were going to get me work boots, but the selection was bad. At least prices were low though. We wound up getting a bag of M&Ms, 2 bags of beef jerky, paint to repair paint chips by the keyhole on the truck, and a flask. That's right, I'm the proud owner of a flask. My parents might think I'm an alcoholic, but I figure it's like the police, you don't have to be afraid if you haven't done anything wrong. Anyway yeah I keep water in it for now, but still it's pretty cool.
Today:
It was pretty boring today as well. I didn't get much done yet because I've been making this post.
So yeah this Jazz Band trip will be cool and when it's over, I'll have a lot more time. Since I do service learning on some weekends now, that just makes my weekends more crowded. I'm also going to start going over once or twice a week to really start fixing my grandpa's house and my aunt's house. Ok well not much else is going on now, so peace out.
Monday:

RIP Sai: The Movie
If you're confused on the title, fear not for I shall enlighten you. If you recall, near the end of junior year, the elections for senior class officers came up and Sai was running for vice president. Sai, Steven, and I decided to make a video for sai in which he gets blown up by a firework, taken away in an ambulance, then escapes from the ambulance because "nobody can kill me I am invincible!" From there, he puts on goggles and plays 2 games of dolphin olympics at the same time. After that, he defeats Steven at risk multiple times (though when we were rolling the dice, the wrong side was always winning, making for some funny rolls). Finally, he kills Steven and the cameraman before going on to the credits to "play" (it actually fooled Zach for a while) the solo from Stairway to Heaven. In that solo is the last known video recording of bubble fish (also RIP). Recently, I recieved an email from google telling me the video was blocked because it was flagged with copyrighted content. After a lot of thinking, I finally figured it was probably from the Stairway solo. Now the really sucky part is that the video was made on my school craptop, so the only copy of the video that exists is online. I can no longer access the video to download it, but it is still on my account and nobody, not even myself, can view it. I'm working on trying to get google to let me download it somehow, but no such luck yet. Hopefully it will not be lost in the void.
Ok anyway, time to get onto the week. This time, I think I'll just post about different things instead of day by day because it's nice to have some change once in a while.
PAX:
So the latest on PAX is that I cannot pay for the 10 people. I don't have a credit card and my parents weren't too keen on the idea of putting down that much money because we are also financing the fixing up of my grandpa's house, my aunt's house, and moving my grandpa, so we aren't in a good financial position to put down money for pax as well. If someone has a credit card and is willing to spot us all the 400-500 bucks to get in, it would be much appreciated. We have to order all 10 at once to get the group rate ($5 off). If nobody takes it up, we might as well just take the $5 hit and order our tickets normally. I really don't care either way because hell it's 5 bucks and I know I will get my money's worth either way.
Ok now onto the week's events, starting with my new classes.
Business Law 9:30-10:20 MTWTh:
I was really looking forward to this class, but I didn't really realize what I was getting into. Since this is a class required for business students, it's more geared around laws that businesses will encounter, rather than court proceedings. Also, our professor got rid of a bunch of case briefings we would have done that supposedly take about 20 hours overall. Instead, we are required to do 15 hours of service learning. Service learning means you work at the food bank or something and tell about how it reflects the law. This really sucks for me because I joined the class hoping we would get a lot of case briefings since I enjoy those, but unfortunately, I am a lawyer in a class of entrepreneurs, so epic fail there. I'll get through the class, but it won't be as fun as I thought it would be. Also, there's this really nerdy guy in the class that is the kind of nerdy where he talks like a dick (condescending and stuff) to everyone. I hope that in our mock trials, I either get paired up with him to make an unstoppable force of pwnage or I hope I get pitted against him so I can wipe the floor with his ass.
Business Calculus 10:30-11:20 Daily:
Of this class, 1/4 of the people are people that were in my last math class, 1/2 are in my business law class just before this, and 1/4 are people I've never had class with before. I got the same math teacher I've had all year, which is really cool because she's one of the best math teachers I've ever had. This calculus stuff is all new to me (good to finally be seeing things in math I don't recognize), but now that I understand all the stuff I did not back in high school, I'm more confident about calculus now. I think I can pull of a good grade in this class.
Jazz Band 11:30-12:20 Daily:
Doug is on a sabbatical learning about the physics of sound so that he can make a new class at SCC, which imco sounds like a totally badass class. In his place, we got this Sisko guy who Davis had said was a cool guy and he really is. I'm actually learning about chords now and everyone else seems to really like him. I was the only one that didn't hate Doug apparently. It's because I'm used to Harshman, so nothing fazes me anymore. This new guy though is a trumpet player, so our section is getting better. It's going to be a good quarter. Also, we've been practicing hard because we have that contest in Dallas a week from Saturday. It's going to be very cool.
Intra-American Studies Online:
This class is a good class for me because we're learning how to be tolerant all quarter. Unfortunately, I have to do 4 hours of volunteer work, but I might be able to count my service learning for that and Steven's probably going to do some with me, so that will be cool. The thing that sucks about the class is we assume a Monday-Friday work week, but it ends at 11:55 am on Friday, when I am still in class. Basically, that makes Friday useless for that class, so that's going to be a hassle all quarter, but on the plus side, I guess it's one less class I have to worry about those days.
Concert Band 7:00-9:30 Monday:
It's pretty much the same. We have an all new Alto Sax section except for that one older guy and Steve is no longer in the band, but I still have people to talk to. For Victoria, I found out Dan and I will be roomates, which will be epic. Darren, Eric, and someone else wanted me to room with them, but I knew from Ken we were trying to get 2 people to a room, so I was like screw that, (but more politely) and I'm sharing a room with just Dan. Our new songs are okay and that stupid girl has still not returned so I am happy.
Ok well that's my class list. Now for things in real life.
Runescape:
Steven got me into Runescape. It's actually pretty fun I must say. Well most of the time at least. I still have a long way to go until I'm a competent player, but I'm working on it. It also helps to have a friend in the game who's richer than God. Also, Steven showed me a cool song from the game that leads into my next section.
Sea Shanty 2:
So I heard this song in Runescape and I liked it, so I decided to make it using Noteworthy Composer 2 (I have a free 30 day trial version that I've had for 120 days and I think I'll have it as long as I want). It was a good way to familiarize myself with the program and I'll probably post the video to youtube or something this week. Now that I've done that, I kind of want to do a LoZ ocarina medley or something. Of course eventually, I want to take on the Terran Theme as well, but that is a ways off.
Grandpa's House:
We spent the day there on Saturday. I helped Grandpa clean stuff out in the backyard while the other three cleaned out a whole room full of old paperwork and stuff. It was pretty fun to clean the backyard even though I munched it up a bit when I had to use an axe one some large items.
Videogames:
I beat Phoenix Wright 2 and I liked it pretty good. Now I'm on Fire Emblem and that game rocks. I'm going through it very fast and I hope it lasts a long time because it is surprisingly very fun.
Possible UW visit???
Dan and I were talking about how we both haven't been to the UW in a while and he suggested we go sometime. He's gone all this week and our trip is next week, but eventually we will probably show up so I might wind up calling Lucy so I'm not alone with Stanwood kids when we're there.
So yeah all is good. The first week of the quarter is always hectic trying to get things figured out and catching up where I can. Luckily, things look like they will settle down after the jazz band trip because a major time eater right now is practicing for that. I'm looking forward to that trip for the experience and for the peace that shall ensue thereafter. Anyway, happy easter coming up and don't let rabbit robot attack us all.
Peace out.

Four More Years!
Howdy y'all. This is not going to be a post about the week (which will be apparent if you look down and notice how short this is). I'm making this post to commemorate the fourth anniversary of the blog. It turns four tonight at 7:22. That's it for now, have a good remainder of the weekend.

Man week....begin!
So this is the first I've mentioned of man week in case you were confused and thought it was something you should know about. Basically, all you need to know is that my mom and my sister are in Florida visiting mom's cousin and family this week. Therefore, dad and I have the house to ourselves and we don't have to get nagged by the women all week. The only downside is that while dad is at work, the cats will bug me for attention, which they usually do to mom or Kathryn. Aside from that, this coming week should be good. I can't wait to get to my new classes (well ok I can wait, but I realize the sooner I start, the sooner summer will bring people back to me). This spring break was ok. The parts I was away from my computer desk to see were pretty cool. Now I shall commence to tell you how I pissed away my break.
Monday:
I spent the day just playing some games here and there and being slightly sad that I was not going to see Rachel for a while and also at the realization that it would be another long while before I got a girlfriend. The feelings of sadness were quickly destroyed when I did something else, like play Starcraft or Ocarina of Time. That night at midnight, I went to the airport to pick up dad, his boss, and his boss' wife from their vegas trip. Mom had come back on an earlier flight so she could get Kathryn to her dance classes and stuff. Dad's boss and his wife were cool. They have also joined the club of people that think dad and I look alike. We don't really see it, but apparently it's obvious to almost every person we meet.
Tuesday:
I begun working on the Starcraft theme park (see post below). I spent 7 hours between 12pm and 8pm working on it before taking a tv break and then working on it again for about an hour.
Wednesday:
I spent another 6 hours working on the theme park. Not much else happened that day.
Thursday:
I went to meet grandpa at the mall because he wasn't answering his home phone and I figured I knew where he was at. I learned that though I might have inherited my dad's looks, I've definitely inherited my grandpa's personality. He is a slave to routine and I walked right into the mall and he was there where he always is. It was an easy find. I also got to meet his arch nemesis. She's a very strange lady he rides the bus with. Apparently she's really annoying and he doesn't like her, but he bought her an ice cream cone because it was her birthday. That was something I had to laugh at because I would have done the same thing if I was him. We are such pushovers. Anyway, we went to Costco and had our lunch and got some groceries, then we went to the hardware store to get some stuff to fix this chair he found at the mall. I had to drill some new holes in it (he took it home by the way) and we got the top half of the swivel attatched to the seat. Eventually, I'll have to go finish the thing later this week. After that, I went to frisbee practice with Steven where a couple other alumni had shown up and then we showed the team how to play. Eventually, we had to go easy on them, then we had to mix the teams. It was fun/fair after we did that. After frisbee, I put the finishing touches on my theme park with some careful editing help from Steven and I submitted it, only to discover more contests to join!
Friday:
I began work on my second contest and spent about 2 hours drawing before I got tired of it and stopped for the day. I spent the rest of the day working on some videogames.
Saturday:
Mom and Kathryn left at 4am and they woke me up on their way out, but I fell asleep again. Around noon, dad and I met grandpa at Costco for lunch and then we got some groceries and took him home. Dad had to go to my aunt's house to talk to her about some stuff. Before I forget, that reminds me I should clue you guys in on this.
So they're building that senior living community south of the northgate mall. My grandpa will be moving in there when it is completed. It is perfect for him since he goes to the mall every day and he will now be closer to it, he doesn't need all the space he has now, the place will take him to doctors appointments, the fair, etc. My aunt decided to sell her house and move into grandpa's because her house is old and has stairs which she will soon need to avoid using. Also, grandpa's house was remodeled by our family 3 years ago to make it a better place to have large family get-togethers. My aunt's place is not good for that, so on almost all accounts, it's a better idea for her to move in there. Now we have to get pods to store stuff from grandpa's house so she can move in. I'm in charge of cleaning out and organizing grandpa's crap because I'm the only one he trusts with it. We aren't working on that yet though because we're just clearing space in the house for it. Ok back to the post.
So dad had to talk to my aunt about selling her house and what to do to fix it up. In the meantime, I went to grandpa's house and organized his CD collection and some other stuff until dad came over. When he did, we started loading some furniture that he will not need into the pod. While cleaning out some drawers, we encountered a deck of cards that helped prove that my grandpa and I are very similar.
*dad finds naked lady deck of cards with ace of spades displayed on the pack*
Dad: Hey, check out these cards.
Me: Wow, if that's the ace of spades, I wonder what the joker looks like.
*I leave and get grandpa about 5 minutes later*
*grandpa and I come in 5 minutes later*
Grandpa: Hey you found my old cards!
Dad: Yeah they were in this drawer over here.
Grandpa: Hoo wee, if that's the ace of spades, I wanna see the joker.
That was pretty funny to see how we think alike and it was disturbing at the same time. So we cleaned out that room, then Dad and I went to go see Watchmen. I liked it. It got out late though so I didn't home until 1am.
Today:
Today I haven't done much. I spent the day so far playing Ocarina of time and realizing that my break is almost over and I only really saw Steven. Oh well. Last quarter went by rather quickly and I assume that this quarter will pass equally quickly because I have an hour less of class each week now. It's going to be a good quarter with 2 band trips. One in April to Texas and one in May to Victoria. Davis had good things to say about the new Jazz Band guy, so this could be good. Until my next post a week from tomorrow, peace out.

Break from the Contest

I've spent over 5 of the past 6 hours working on my picture for the Starcraft Contest. I'm hopefully going to finish it tomorrow. Anyway, my hands hurt, so I took about 5 minutes to throw this together since I seem to do one every spring. Perhaps someday we shall play Starcraft again together. Well at least Davis, Keir, and Sai might join Steven and I.

I can has girlfriend?
Why am I even planning on posting about the week leading up to this. I know that all of the readers are going to be skipping to the end to figure out if I now have a girlfriend. Well take this: It's neither a yes or a no. So there, now you know the answer and you have to read the whole post because none of the end stuff makes sense without the beginning (ok just kidding, but seriously, don't skip out on the whole post reading). I'll try to make it interesting.
Tuesday-Thursday afternoon:
Tuesday was a dead day, meaning we have no classes, so I spent the day beating Metroid: Prime, then starting Resident Evil 4, then getting pissed off at the controls and giving it up to go play Ocarina of Time. My finals went well. I shall now recap my classes.
Business Precalc (Math 111)
This was an odd class because we started out with 40 people, so there were two people on the first day that didn't even get chairs. Before long, they started dropping like flies and at the end of the quarter, only 7 of us showed up on time, and the remaining 10ish showed up within 15 minutes of class starting. So that means over half of our classed dropped, which was actually pretty nice. I can't wait to get my grade since I did pretty well throughout. I enjoyed being the first to finish our (surprisingly easy) final and watching people give me that "how did you manage to do that so quickly" look as I turned in my essay and left.
Great Works of Asian Literature (Engl 154W)
THis was one of my writing intensive classes and it wasn't too bad, but if it had been taught by any other professor than this guy (my favorite professor at SCC), it would have been an intensely boring class. This was also the class in which I had my favorite classmates (besided Jazz Band of course). The people were really cool and though the material was boring at times, it ended up being a good class and I'm glad I took it.
Jazz Band (I don't know the code (why the hell am I putting these in anyway?))
I liked this semester even more because as I get better, our bottom line increases and we are able to play better songs. Ok I'm not the worst one in the band....oh shit. I am. Oh well, Doug knows that if we get a part that's hard, I just will work to get it down because we actually play cool music worth (thinking about) practicing.
Concert Band
I'm glad that stupid annoying girl wasn't in it and I hope she does not come back this quarter.
English 102
This one was my online class and it went surprisingly well. I had a lot of fun doing it and I was psyched to get a 4.0 on my final essay that I felt I deserved because I put a lot of blood, sweat, and tears (as well as time) into it. I'm doing another online class this quarter to keep my hours down, so this will be cool. I heard the one I'm taking is a really cool course if done online. If it works out, I think I will start doing an online class every quarter so I don't have to spend too much time on campus each day and I can keep my eating schedule somewhat normal.
Ok, with that out of the way, I'll get into the weekend. Warning though, It'll be short because I had to edit out all the times I had sex.
Yeah I didn't think you would fall for that either.
Thursday:
After the final, I packed and headed out to the airport. I had a window seat, which was nice and the people next to me were nice as well. The flight got in on time and I had to make a quick stop to pee (TMI? I think not) and then I went to meet up with Rachel in the main area. We went back to her house and I got to meet her dog that I had forgotten that they had gotten ten months ago (it was not ten, I was just doing a thing with the word forgotten to gotten to ten (OCD strikes yet again)). It was late at night, so I went to sleep after hanging out downstairs for a little bit.
Friday:
Rachel and I, being indecisive, could not figure out what to do, so we decided to think of things we could do while walking the dog. That plan failed because we didn't think about things we could do whilst on the walk. Eventually, we wound up going to lunch, then cleaning out the car for her mom. Also, somewhere in there, I almost asked her out, but didn't because I was too nervous (get ready for that to come up a lot). That night, we learned that due to snow coming in over the pass, Rachel was going to have to leave the next day so that she wouldn't get pwned by the snow, so with the permission of her parents, I arranged to fly out of Reno instead and I would go to UNR with her and spend the night in her dorm room. We stayed up late watching a show called MANswers that basically involves a dude mentioning the words "boobs, chicks, farts, sex, penis" over and over again. It's like Mythbusters for perverts.
Saturday:
Because we stayed up until 1, Rachel slept in until 11. I didn't mind though as I had Phoenix Wright going while watching some March Madness. We had a couple hours to run some errands, then we had to pack and leave right after lunch. During the car ride, chalk up another time I failed to ask her out because I was nervous. It was a good two hour car ride in which I had ample time to get over my nerves, but did not somehow. It was quite snowy in the pass and I was only somewhat glad I was not driving (it could have been a good challenge). Anyway, when we got to the campus, Rachel was going to be late for her lacrosse practice so she could show me around then get me situated in her room while she was at practice. That worked and before she left, the dinner plans with her team were looking unstable, so I actually asked her out. When she came back however, it turns out that the team wanted to have dinner after all, so I went with her and the team. There were some hot chicks on the team and they were all really nice. We ate at this pasta place and to not be picky, I had spaghetti...WITH MEAT SAUCE ON IT OMFG. Someone call Orion as he has probably fainted from reading this. After we got back to Rachel's room, we hung out with some people on her floor and watched Triple X with this girl that reminded me a lot of Maddy (quite a lot, it was rather frightening). After that, we talked about something with her (I didn't pay attention) and then headed back to Rachel's room, where her roomate had already fallen asleep. Her roomate is kind of a Gil Lim, but nicer and approachable. She seemed to enjoy my sarcasm and slight pervertedness (I held back, I know). I slept on the floor, though they both doubted my ability to be comfortable. I said, "If I can sleep in dirt for the OA, I can sleep on a carpet." Sleep was pretty good, I mean I slept, so it wasn't bad.
Today:
So we got up and had to leave to the airport. Realizing it was now or never, I finally overcame my nerves and talked to Rachel about it and she said that she wanted to, but perhaps later when she has matured a bit because I guess she's been through some bad breakups or something and she didn't want there to be bad blood between us. I said that was ok and I let her know I would be trying again later, which seemed to be well recieved, so I don't have a girlfriend, but I do have a reservation (which is a record for me (which is really sad when you think about it)). I know that someday she shall be my girlfriend, but at least not 2009. That's cool though as I'm starting to appreciate single life above age 18. So yeah, perhaps there will be ladies between then and now (then again, this is me we're talking about so probably not), but whatever happens, I know a good thing when I see it and I can wait a little bit (I can hear you guys thinking how naive I am, and to you I say this is a special case that normal stereotypes can not be applied to). Anyway, the flight back was awesome. I got seated next to a Canadian guy that actually ended every sentence with "Eh." I did all I could to not laugh, but he was a really cool guy. We flew back on a Q400, which is a 2:2 plane with propellers (not a jet). The flight attendents were funny, the view was awesome, and MY SEAT VIBRATED. It was like a 2 hour back massage, which felt so amazing.
Anyway, yeah I think things are going to work out. There is not a doubt in my mind that I will someday wind up with the girl of my dreams and if it takes a little bit more waiting, I can deal with that. I mean come on, I've gone 18.5 years without sex/relationships, I can sure as hell last a couple more.
I know it might seem like a rushed post, but I gotta take care of Kathryn for dinner tonight (we're going to grandpa's house since he has food) since mom and dad are in Vegas meeting one of dad's clients (more on that next post). Anyway, until next time, peace out.

Whoops, I almost forgot to put in a title
Well I hope everyone had a good week. To anyone around here, I hope nobody got too confused with the strange weather we have had the past week (snow, rain, sun, warm, and sub-freezing(often all on the same day!)). It's been a pretty good week. I got some anxieties taken care of as events passed through the week, but at the same time, I added more pain. This time though, it's physical pain from running yesterday (more on that later). Without anything else to do, I suppose I'll drop into the week.
Monday:
We had our rehearsal at Shorecrest and it went well. Apparently, 15 all state and all northwest kids were playing with us for 2 songs in our concert. Alex Brock was one of them, but I didn't talk to him. Our horn section got this small freshman girl from Shorecrest who was nice, but really quiet. She was a very good horn player though, which I guess you'd have to be to make all state as a fresman. After that, I came home and watched 24. ***SPOILER***I was very sad when Bill, my favorite character in all the series thus far was killed (and for just this stupid lady president of all people)***END SPOILER***
Tuesday:
I had a pretty average day. We only had 3 of us trumpets in Jazz band. One girl, we hadn't heard from all week and we had no idea what happened to her (we still don't know if she's coming back) and the other girl was in the band and the choir performing that night, so she took the day off. With more time to fill the private lesson slots, our trumpet teacher came in and listened to us guys play the songs we had and he offered feedback because he is very knowledgeable on that stuff. I had another good lesson. It feels nice to be able to hit more normal range notes much better. That night, we had the concert. I messed up slightly on one of my solos, but otherwise it went fine.
Wednesday:
We had a bad rehearsal in Jazz Band, but we decided that it was stuff that could be fixed easily. Also, we got to meet our professor for next quarter as he came to listen in. Doug isn't going to be doing it next quarter because he is taking a sabbatical to study the physics of sound. He will be at the North Texas University when we are there for the Jazz competition in April though, so that will be cool. Unfortunately he won't be conducting, but perhaps our new leader will be a good conductor. He is a trumpet player, so it will be nice to know someone knows of our pain.
Thursday:
Not much happened this day either. I caught my counselor on the way out of his class on my way into the classroom and I asked him about the waitlist for his law class next quarter. He said not to worry as he always has room for the top five. I was very relieved to hear that because I am number five and I had thus far not seen teachers taking beyond three people into their class from the waitlist except for accounting when we moved to a room that seated 100 people. After school, I came home and beefed up my essay to the extreme so that no holes could be found in my arguments and I even got some more points that I made to add to my paper's length. I also learned that Jack Thompson has been disbarred and I heartily loled as I realized I would soon be able to practice law, but he wouldn't.
Friday:
We had a guest high school band in jazz band. Their whole concert band had come from this small town in Oregon that nobody in the band would have heard of if not for the fact that our drummer was born there. They were really nice people. So nice, in fact, that if they had stayed any longer, an orgy might have broken out. Also their band leader looked like Napoleon Dynamite, but he was really cool and a good piano and trombone player. After that, we had another field trip for Asian lit. This time, it involved a zen garden. It was actually a really nice place and it was fun. After that, I stayed home while my parents went to a play. I took advantage of my free time to do every exercise on the Wii Fit for some reason.
Saturday:
My grandma was in town for the St. Patrick's Day Dash, so we hung out around the house most of the day until that night when mom and dad had dinner with dad's new boss, so Kathryn and I went to see Taken with Grandma. It was a really good movie. Finally a hero that shoots first and asks questions later.
Sunday:
Dash day! This was the 25th annual St. Patrick's Day Dash and my personal 19th one. Unfortunately, due to construction, the route was changed. It starts at that Teatro Zin Zani that's a block directly north from the Fountain at the Seattle Center. We usually run down, under aurora, then make a couple of right turns, then a left back onto aurora where we run along the northbound viaduct lanes to the Safeco/Qwest fields exit and finish at the far end of Safeco field after that long straightaway. This year, we did the normal route until we turned RIGHT on aurora and went north up to the bridge, then all the way back in to the EMP. I implemented a new strategy this year. I booked it out early, then let Kathryn pass me and have her think the whole way I was ahead while secretly I was right behind her. It worked, surprisingly enough. At the last corner, the finish is less than 100 yards away. At the corner, before you can see that however, there is a guy yelling "just 300 more yards." I took his word for it, but then Kathryn took off, so I had to sprint to catch up to her as I realized that the end was closer than I was told. Even though I sprinted, I was just a hair behind her. I may still have won though depending on whether or not I crossed the starting line first. We will know sometime in April when the timing chips are finished. I hope I won because I have bad knees that are still hurting from the race and I don't know how many more years I can compete with Kathryn for. If I get this win, then the pressure is off to finally get a win in my family.
As per usual, we headed out afterwards to my cousin's birthday party where we always have Corned Beef and Cabbage, which is his favorite meal. My dad and Kathryn don't like it for some reason, but I do, so it works out for me. There were a lot of crows when we were there, so my cousin showed me his 12-gauge and I got to take some shots. It was pretty cool. I think one of my shots might have clipped a crow, but it looked like he kept flying away, so I'm not sure. After we got back, I had 2 hours to do all the homework I neglected to do (only writing a 4-page essay) in 2 hours. I wound up spending one of those hours talking to Rachel though, so I did my essay in one hour and it was a pile of crappy mc crap, but the peers reviewing it seemed to generally like it, so now I get to fix it up for really turning it in.
Today:
Nothing much happened today. It was the last normal day of the quarter. Now I'm making this post as I get ready to do some homework, then enjoy some SS2 leading into the dead day between today and finals tomorrow.
So I'm going to California on Thursday and I get back Sunday. After that, I'm up for hanging out. I will more than likely not post between now and when I get back. Keep your fingers crossed for me. Until I have hopefully acquired a girfriend, peace out.
**EDIT**: Well the dash got done with the times very fast this year. I actually lost to Kathryn by one second, which was what I thought our time difference would be. Ah well, I will hopefully do better next year as we both got absolutely terrible times and if I win next year, then I will be happy. I'll also train for next year.

Things I Hate: 10
Hello and Welcome to OOOoOOoOOoo the tenth installment of Things I hate! It's been a good few posts, though I must admit its becoming harder and harder to hate on things as I slowly realize that I don't get pissed off very easily. That being said, I will still try to post at least every other week, but if I miss an extra week, don't hold it against me. It's the least you could do since none of you post regularly anyways (a thing I hate for another time...) Ok anyway, today on Things I hate: Douchebag fashion
While I could go on and on about douchebags in general, I feel that that is something that is best done later when I am out of ideas for what to hate on. For now, I shall focus on the ridiculous clothes and accessories they wear.
Unfortunately, the most foolproof way of determining if something is douchebag fashion is by looking back after it has gone. Douchebag fashion is always something that is a stupid idea or that looks stupid or both (almost always the case) that comes about randomly and leaves just as suddenly and randomly.
Accessories:
If a guy is carrying an accessory, he is either gay or a douchebag. Here's a way to figure it out: Is the accessory a piercing or a purse? If you answered yes, then he is gay, feel free to question his morals or invite him back to your place for a valium and a nice comfy bed (whatever floats your boat), but don't call him a douchebag. Common douchebag accessories include the following:
Acoustic Guitar - So they can sing about what makes them "feel" different ways.
Shark tooth or any somewhat manly kind of) necklace - Because when they take their shirt off, you still need something to look at.
Chest tattoo - So that you will look at them. A popular choice for tattoos is Asian language characters because 1) it takes longer to figure out 2) it makes them seem cultured 3) as girls bend in to get a better look at the tat and to try to determine what it means, the d-bag gets a prolonged peek at cleavage.
Cross/Crucifix necklace - This is another thing I just remembered. It is especially douchey because in very very very rare cases are douchebags religious and if they are, they're the kind that blindly and annoyingly follows the religion and argues with you about it forever until you realize the conversation is going nowhere. The reason that this necklace is douchebaggy is because it is often accompanied by a blasphemous or otherwise profane/provocative shirt.
And now onwards to some recent trends in douchebag fashion.
Collar Popping:
Of course you've seen this at one point or another. Shirts just get longer and longer collars until before you know it, you're sporting the classic Dracula look when you pop your collar. The truth about collar popping is it never looks cool. Never. It looks like you were going to put on a tie, but then remembered you didn't know how to tie a tie and in your embarrassment, forgot to put down your collar. This is the ultimate fashion statement to make though if you want to advertise your lack of fine motor skills.
Those Sunglasses that have the plastic stripes over the lenses:
Seriously, what is the point of those? One would think it would be hard to see out of those things. These look especially stupid and douchebaggy because the people that wear them lose part of their already apparently bad sight, so when they put them on, they stray from side to side almost hitting you as they walk by, but they don't care, you should be getting out of their way right? Wrong! Next time you see someone that obviously can't see out of the sunglasses walking past you, take advantage of their self-inflicted blindness by pushing them onto the street preferably in front of a moving truck. You'll be doing the world a favor and hey, if they somehow survive, they won't even know it was you.
Spikedy Hair:
Douchebags have a common problem in that many of them fail to meet the manly 6 foot height requirement (yes, you have to be at least 6 feet tall or have uber micro to be manly (so don't worry Steven, you're still good)). Since so many douchebags have the need to appear manly, they decided one day, "Hey, what if we just spike up our hair? Sure it looks stupid, but people will look at us and say damn he looks stupid, but boy is he slightly taller than the others here." It's amazing how douchey just a half cup of hair gel can make a guy look. Speaking of the hair gel, if you touch a douchebag's hair for some reason or if it's dripping, don't worry, it's just their hair rejecting the amount of douchiness they attempted to put into it.
Hats:
For those douchebags that meet the height requirement, they are free to wear their hair any way they want. Unfortunately, this means that they will wear a hat. But not just any hat, oh no. They will wear a baseball cap that sports the logo of a popular sports team, but does not display the colors of said team. Also, the hat must include a sticker that was obviously meant to take off, but you were "too cool" to do that. As for the brim of the hat, it must either be perfectly flat or bent all to hell. As for the positioning, the bill of a douchebag's hat is never straight over their face. It is always cocked up and to the side a bit just so you can see more of their stupid douchey face from just the right angle.
Pink Shirts:
These are slowly dying out. I am happy that this is gone. I never understood the ads "Real men wear pink." Why is that? Because when I think of pink, do you know what I think of? BREAST CANCER. What guy wants to go around wearing a shirt that makes people wonder if he just got out of chemotherapy and maybe that's the reason for wearing such a stupid hat.
Shirts that are too tight:
Douchebags have that need to seem more muscley, so they will go ahead and try to work out. When that fails of course, they buy shirts that are obviously too small so their "bulging" arms can bulge out of the shirt.
That's all I can think of for now. I love making fun of douchebags though, so perhaps I shall continue this post as things come to mind. Anyway, I've been running errands and making this post on and off now for 3 hours and I need to get some homework done, so until next time, peace out.

Monday, March 09, 2009
I keep on truckin' every day (since I drive one).
So this has been a pretty good week. I don't know how eventful it was really, but I assume the post length will tell me how good of a week I had. In videogame life, I've been working on the contest and I gave up on Rome: Total War for a while because it randomly lost all my saved data, so I won't be playing it for a while (until I get sufficiently bored again). I'd say System Shock 2 is going well, but that would be redundant because we haven't played in over a week.... So anyway, this is the last full week of the quarter and Keir is on spring break, so it's going to be a good week. Unfortunately, I wont play online SC until Wednesday I think because I have a band rehearsal tonight and a concert tomorrow. After that though, I'm good to go. Now, with nothing left to say, I can get to the week.
Monday:
Band went well, except that stupid annoying girl showed up at the end. I don't know what her deal is, if she's performing with us or not. Either way, I'm not giving up the solos that she used to play. She can have them when she puts in as much time as I have to learning them and when she stops being such a huge bitch. She was wearing this jacket that said GLC, which turned out to be Green Lake Crew. I was talking with one of the french horn players/assistant conductor and he asked if I knew what that meant (she was talking to the conductor at the time). I told him I assumed it was Green Lake something because that's all I could think of for GL. When he asked her, she said Green Lake Crew and he said "Oh that's what David was thinking." Without pause to think about what she was saying, she uttered her typical question of how I'm connected. "What? How do you know that? Who do you know there?" All I could say was "I just used intuition to guess." Later, I was talking to one of the girls from the trumpet section (she's also in jazz band with me) about Victoria when this girl comes up again very annoyingly. She offered a cookie, (a lady in the band had a daughter selling girl scout cookies) which I thought was a nice gesture, but I declined a cookie hoping it would mean she would get on her way faster, but she did not, so I had to walk back to the truck with the girl I was talking to and this other girl annoyingly tagging along (not cock-blocking (meaning there was no cock attempt to be blocked) or I would have been really mad). After I got home is when I discovered my Rome: Total War info had been erased and I became angry at it and decided to get some Starcraft in.
Tuesday:
Our math class had a scheduled non-meeting day because the professor had a doctor's appointment, so I got to sleep in an extra hour. It was very very nice to bank that sleep and then to only have 2 hours of school. My trumpet lesson went well. I'm making quick progress in my range and my tone is also getting better.
Wednesday:
After classes, I finished the remnants of the first half of my 8-page essay before deciding to play Starcraft. I couldn't remember the last time, or if, I had beaten both Starcrafts without using cheat codes. I figured with SC2 coming out soon, I should get to it, though it is Blizzard after all, so I probably have until I'm 63 (Steven, just pretend to laugh, or pretend to read this post even :/ ). I got through the first half of the terran campaign. I had to laugh at the first few levels though because I was able to win them with just Raynor. I later talked with Steven about it and it turns out he had done the same thing.
Thursday:
I had a meeting scheduled for 2pm with my counselor for registration, but his wife is pregnant (I thought they had a daughter in college though...) and on top of that, he is the head of the business department and teaches an extra class beyond most professors and also has a ton of other appointments, so he had to reschedule for the next morning, which sucked, but it had to be done to get registered. I played more Starcraft in the afternoon.
Friday:
I had my meeting in the morning and signed up for Business Law, Math 148 (business Calc), Jazz Band, and Intra-American Studies online. My schedule will be 9:30-12:30 Monday - Thursday and 10:30-12:30 on Fridays if I get my law class. I am on the waitlist for it currently, but I'm early enough on it that I think I have a chance of getting in. If I don't, I know of an Accounting 202 class that I had been considering and I'll just hop into that because accounting classes are always underfilled since they meet in huge rooms. After my 12:30 class, our Asian Literature class had a field trip to the Seattle Asian Art Museum. It was cool to hang out with those people outside of class. They're my favorite non-jazz band peers that I've had yet. We had some cool times there, learning that one of my new friends was once Seattle's 8th most wanted, watching Grant ride a camel statue that turned out to be a man, and checking out naked chicks in the paintings. After that, I came back by SCC and registered really quick before heading home. More Starcraft ensued that night.
Saturday:
It was the Booster Auction day, but I didn't know it until only a couple of days before this time because my mom was not involved this year, so I didn't get to gague when it was based on the pre-auction rage emanating from mom. She'll be doing it next year, so I'll probably experience the rage again next year. That afternoon, I went to pick up grandpa from the mall. Dad thought he had done something bad because he usually calls to talk to dad, but he called to talk to me. It's just because he likes going places with me because I willingly help him bring back crap from the mall and we work on his house and stuff. We met dad for lunch after getting grandpa some new medicine and fixing a couple things in his house. Then we ran some more errands before going home for an hour and a half, then bringing Kathryn back there to have dinner with him while mom and dad were at the auction. I finally got to see WallE, which was really good. As usual, my parents bought a lot of useless crap from the auction, but this year, we got a new record for the randomest piece of crap yet. A background though: Mom hates when things don't get bid on because if they don't get bid on, they go to waste essentially, so that's how mom wound up winning the conduct a band last year (which thankfully I made sure she did not redeem). This year, she bought a bobblehead of Moises Alou. Go ahead and google him. I can say he has nothing to do with us. I did, however, like this fact that I pointed out to mom to show her just what she had bought.
"Alou is one of the few baseball players who bat without the use of batting gloves.Alou urinates on his hands to alleviate calluses, explaining why he is able to avoid using batting gloves."
That night, I stayed up watching an old Steve Martin comedy. A quote I liked from that one was:
Steve: The only other doctor I trust to do that operation is Bekker!
Doctor: But Bekker was killed in an elevator in England last month, surely you heard of that!
Steve: That's just it! Not only is he dead, but he's 6,000 miles away!
The movie was by the people that made "The Jerk," so it was really funny. I watched half of it, then turned it off because I was getting tired and I guess while I was getting up, I fell asleep. When I woke up, it was 2:15, but only one clock said that (it automatically switched for daylight savings, which I had forgotten about) so in my half-asleep stupor, I confusedly climbed upstairs to go to bed, unsure of what time it was. I woke up an hour late because my clock was off.
Sunday:
I lost the hour, but I got everything done in time. I peer reviewed an essay that could have been good because it had an interesting topic (addictive potentials of MMO games), but it was total BS. The lady writing it blamed her kid's vg addiction on everyone but herself, so in my editing, I made sure to dickishly tell her how to put parental settings on her 360 and her PC. I sent a lot of people the essay, so talk to me about it or tell me if you want to read it. The family and I watched some TV, then when Kathryn had to go up to bed, dad said to flip over to this Celtic Woman special (a telethon as it turned out) on PBS. Normally, here I would say google it, but it's probably better that you don't. As everyone else went upstairs, I kept watching all 2 hours because, quite frankly, they were hot. Also it was easy listening, which is a genre that lives up to its name (only sometimes). I got mad when the announcers came on though because they were not hot and they were bitching about how other networks are evil and PBS is the only one with morals. I don't know how I watched all 2 hours, but I did and then I went to sleep.
Today:
Not much happened today. I've done the normal routine right up to this post. I have a dress rehearsal today and a concert tomorrow. On Friday, my revised paper is due and that could take a couple of hours any time, so I'll do it today and tomorrow a bit. From Wednesday on, I'm good to go. Until later when we "Skype it up to the max bitch@ and then again!", peace out.
Monday:

No Cussing Week in LA
But we don't live in LA, so they can all go to hell I guess. Well congratulations, partially to me as well, because this last week was far more eventful than the previous one. Before I start though, I want to get a couple of things out of the way.
PAX: http://www.pennyarcadeexpo.com/index.php
Don't feel obligated to go to the site. I just put it there for quick reference if you felt like it. So this year, PAX is not the last weekend in August, but instead is the first weekend in September. It will be the usual Friday-Sunday thing (September 4 - September 6). Last year we had 10 people, but it was disorganized. This year, we should definitely have 10 people going that we are in regular contact with. I think that group rate still applies, but we need to act faster this year because PAX is limiting the number of badges this year. So if we can get that group discount thing, that would be good. Davis wants us to order before he leaves for Greece for spring break, so Sai, I will personally ask you to spread the word to the UW kids and I will try to do it as well and I'll get going on facebook and all that.
Contest: http://www.blizzard.com/us/inblizz/contests/themepark/
So Steven sent some of us an email the other day about a blizzard contest with a potentially great reward (a SC2 Beta key). Since I had nothing to draw at the time, I decided I would work on that. The going is good. Right now I have a lot of ideas for things to put in it. When I'm done, I'm definitely putting it up on the blog. Hopefully I can win this because that would be pretty cool if I did.
Ok now to the week.
Monday:
Nothing much happened because I was only in school for Jazz Band. That night, that annoying girl from band showed up and I got worried, but then saw she had a trumpet case. About 2 minutes later she left. I think it means she was coming from another band practice to tell our director she was quitting the band. Many silent huzzahs ensued from the horn section.
Tuesday:
Tuesday was a down day for me. My classes were easy. In Math, we were just preparing for the midterm all week, so it was pretty boring. After school, I played some SC with Steven. After he had to leave, I played a lot of Rome: Total War.
Wednesday:
When I got to my math class, I found out it had been cancelled. I decided that I didn't want to go to the library and the class was empty and warm, so I went in and did my homework in peace and quiet for once. This was of course after downloading the terran theme onto my phone so I could play it during my homework doing there. After school, I started working on the contest and then played some Starcraft with Steven. After he left, I played Rome: Total War.
Thursday:
Math was cancelled once again, so I did the same thing as the day before. I overheard the class next door taking a test that I can only hope was for ESL, otherwise there are some stupid kids in college. After school, Steven and I discovered a great game called Pickle Bound. I later found the awesome song they loop in the background and Steven did some cutting and recording to replecate the loop they have in the game, hence the song on his blog. When I emailed Steven the song I found, I accidentally sent it to Orion. There Davis, now all your questions are answered.
Friday:
I got home and played a lot of Pickle Bound with Steven and then we moved on to other UMS games. We spent an hour and a half on one game, but we finally beat it and in the end, it was a pretty cool waste of time.
Saturday:
Dad and I went to meet my grandpa at Costco (origin of quotes below). Grandpa had a list prepared of stuff he needed for a birthday party he was going to the next day. Among the list was "Crap 16oz. Phillips." Dad and I chuckled when we saw this. Apparently, he had meant to spell crab. We saw Erik while we were there, so I talked to him for a bit. After that, we dropped Grandpa off at his house and I fixed it up a bit while dad went to the bathroom. He says he has a lot of projects for me, so I guess during spring break and summer break, I'm going to be over there building crap (and I don't mean crab). After that, I came home and started downloading System Shock 2 before going to play it with Steven and Orion for 2 hours. It's meant to be a scary game I can see, but since the three of us play together, it's more funny than anything else.
Sunday:
I did some homework really quick, then I practiced tennis with Kathryn in the rain because her tennis tryouts are right now actually. After that, I went over to Shoreline Center, but I didn't see Eric there, so I balled out because it was raining. After I got home, I played SC with Steven, then Sai, then just Sai for a while before going to bed.
Today:
I had my math midterm which had been postponed to today. It went pretty well. I was in a block for the first half, but then I pulled my head out of my ass and realized I knew how to do the problems. Now I'm posting. Later I have band. Until then, I'm going to work on the contest and research for my 8 page essay about how videogames don't get the bad rap they deserve. Ok peace out until next time.
