A haul of much goodity.

Ok well it's what now, the 26th? Wow. Steven, Keir, and I haven't even played Snowball Wars. Guys, the 30th. The three of us need to play at least one this year. Well there is going to be a party on New Year's Eve, everyone else willing. I will get to that later, first I need to post about Christmas.

For Christmas, I got a plethora of games. By that, I mean whatever I didn't get, I have enough money from my Eagle ceremony and from Christmas to buy more. I also got World in Conflict as my "Santa" present. I haven't put it on the computer yet, but I hope to soon. I got some random presents as well; including a finger drum set, a South Pole (gangster) Sweater, an optical illusion deck of cards from 1987, and a bunch of nostalgic Seahawks towels from games in the 1980's. My aunt wrapped my presents in those because she knew I would like them and I did. She has had season tickets since 1978, so that's why she had them. I have only gotten on one game since Christmas, Assassin's Creed. I felt like it was a shorter one and I was probably right. It looks like a nice 36 hour game (ideal time) in which I will be able to get every achievement on the first runthrough. The story is really really really not what I expected in a wierd and sort of bad way. I also had hoped for more in depth gameplay, but the combat is exactly like Spiderman 3, where you press a combination of buttons, almost always including the X button in order to attack. One thing that it beats Spiderman on though is graphics. The awesome blood and guts flowing everywhere in the fighting is almost enough to make me forget I'm pressing two buttons. I have to bring you over so I can show you some of the cool moves you can do. The game is fun, but it isn't what I expected. I can definately get into it though.

Ok so I am going out of town from early on the 27th to the 30th late. New Year's Eve is the first day I will be back. I can probably communicate a couple times daily via email (read and send early in the morning and late at night). I will be talking to you guys that are helping to plan via email as much as I can. Here is a list of what we need.
1. Time: 3 or 4:00 pm - midnight or 1am seems the best.
2. Try to get as many 360's as possible. We can probably get 3 and if you can get a fourth, that would be ideal.
3. Bring a cube for smash. Even if we have 4 360's, we should have it as backup and we need it as a failsafe plan in case a 360 owner drops the ball.
4. Make sure everyone knows that there is under no circumstance to be any halo. Gears is the only game that will be played. No exceptions, except for anything on the gamecube. If anyone finds a way to play halo on the gamecube, then by all means, go ahead, but the 360's will only be playing Gears of War.
5. We want 10-12 people coming. So far, there are five (Sai, Steven, Davis, Orion, and I). Eric Chan has a 360 and should have GoW, so there's 6. Ahmad has GoW, so there's 7. Try to get 3-5 more people there.
6. I have three useable TV's, we will need 1 or 2 depending on whether we have a fourth 360 coming. If we have a fourth, then we will need 2 more TV's one for that 360 and one for the cube.
7. Find out where we can have the party. Sai's house works if we stick the cube back in Sai's room. My house also works and has 2 rooms, preventing screen looking. Steven's house??? Davis can't because he might need to leave. Orion's house???
8. WE ARE ONLY PLAYING GEARS OF WAR.
9. Don't invite people that will try to make people play halo.
10. Check your emails because I am going to be frantically trying to contact you via my mom's laptop twice a day to get updates.
Sai, Davis, Steven, Orion. Please do a good job so that this party does not go the way of homecoming. I'm sure you will, I just don't like being in any control of it.

Peace out.

One of the few things that could keep me from posting did just that.

So for those of you that didn't know, I was working on a walkthrough for Mass Effect, which ate up all of my time, causing me to not post for almost two weeks now. The FAQ went well, I submitted it and since it was in Word, it had to be manually somethinged. Whatever it was, it will be up in a few days I assume.

What has happened in these past weeks? Nothing at all! This was very fortunate for me because I spend all my time on the FAQ and was unable to do anything interesting. Nothing really cool happened at school either. I just made this post because I know that Snowball Wars 2007 will be starting soon and I don't want to tie myself up with posting. Have fun over break I guess. Other than that, peace out.

---EDIT---

Ok clan I really need you guys to know that we need to play SC. My time is short. I have pretty much no time today (12/22) and I will not have time on 12/23. I can play on Christmas Eve. I can maybe play a little on Chrismas day. I can play on 12/26. From the 27th to the 30th, I am out of town. The last day of break is the 2nd. We need to get as much sc in as possible.

Also, we need to figure out that party on New year's eve.

I've been up to nothing and its been taking all day.

So the whole last week at school could all be blended into one sentence that applies for all days: I showed up to school on time, did what my classes required me to, then came home, did homework, and played Starcraft until I went to sleep.

Oh and on Thursday we had a mediocre concert.

On Friday, I hung out with Steven, Davis, and Orion in the afternoon. We played lots of games and watched some Deuce Bigalow and Two and a Half Men. We learned (yet again) why we don't play Back to Baghdad and I remembered why Marvel: Ultimate Alliance is boring. I think Mass Effect is spoiling me.

On Saturday, I got conned into volunteering stuffing stockings. I liked it because it took an hour and a half, when I was originally told it would take 3. That was a nice surprise. Orion was there also, so it was cool. After that, we got a Christmas tree. I wrote my FAQ the rest of the day. Oh that reminds me....

The FAQ: So for Gamefaqs.com, I decided that I would write a FAQ for Mass Effect because A: I'm tired of noobs clogging the message boards with their stupid questions and B: because if I do, I enter a contest for that game where I could win $60. I need to get to version 1.0 as fast as I can, so I had better get back to work.

I don't care about the quality of that post, I just am tired of seeing that picture whenever I go to my blog.

Well this post will be good. It includes many quotes, some of which were in my profile and some of which, were not.

Profile:

*Bumper sticker reads: Hilliary and Oprah 2008*
Sai: Oh what do you call that person...a dyke!

RunningInSquare3: So how is pokemon?
Bananaoracle89: *replying would require putting the DS down*

David: You will say it as you dominate the world
Sai: YOUR MOM DOMINATED ME LAST NIGHT! oh wait.

Me: SC2 OMG
Keir: You just gave me an erection!

IRL:
*Talking after school by lockers involving Davis, The asians, and me.*
Alex: Well I guess we'd better be off to the library then.
*Before they leave, a girl walks by talking on her cell phone with her friend following close behind*
Friend of Girl: SEX. YOU GUYS NEED TO GET LAID.
*I look at her and notice she was yelling at us*
Me: *doubles over with laughter*
Alex: *High pitched laugh*
Others: Assorted laughter
Josh: Yeah well at least I didn't throw my life away, bitch!
*assorted high fives*
Girls(from a distance): get laiiiiiid
Josh: *perfect excecution of a flipping off*
*Merideth walks up amidst all this*

Yeah that was the first time anyone who I didn't previously know has ever informed me that I should get laid. I wish I had the camera there.....

Reason Number 5 why David doesn't have a girlfriend.

This is in regards to the conversation after school on friday. If you are confused right now, pray that it stays that way. Anyway, I think I gave Orion enough of a chance to beat me to posting (I would have posted anyway, but at the risk of forgetting, I decided to post).

So here is how it went down after school on Friday (to the best of my memory):

Somehow, the topic of how lego characters can have sex came up. I promised I would post a picture, and unfortunately, I delivered.

While we were distracted with laughing....

Stuart: Hey Davis are we on for dinner tonight with double blah blah blah....
*Steven, Orion, and I still laughing and talking*
*Stuart Leaves*
Davis: So apparently I am going to tolo tonight.
Me: That sucks
Davis: Yeah it's kind of short notice
Me: All in favor of doing something manly *raises hand*
Davis: Screw you man.
*laughter*
Orion: No man he is doing the manliest thing of all, sex with clothes on*tracy walks up*
Tracy: Hmmm. Maybe I don't want to know what was going on.
*talking ensues between mostly Davis, Tracy, and Orion*
*Jake walks by amidst others talking*
*Jake nods and laughs in the direction of Steven and I*
Me: He likes my hat.
Steven: Heh
Orion: Well I guess we'd better get going.
Me: Yeah.
*group separates*

On the way to the car
Jake: David I like your hat!
Steven: Heh you were right.

So yeah I think I got some things wrong, but that was basically the gist of what happened. I may have missed a joke in there, but whatever. Orion can clean up the mess. Today, I beat Mass Effect. It had a really good ending and now I get to play several more times to get all the achievements. Steven is playing SC with me now, so I'll post my Gamefaqs review later.

Bodon and I win a 2-5 50-45 Part 3.

Get ready to face me and my lazer flying through the air.
And then get pwned.

Ok so I am in Hollywood & History right now and I felt like posting about the week, specifically because Starcraft happened and we also ended on a bad note last long post. Before reading much more of this; if you haven't yet, then scroll down to part 1 and view those pictures.

Monday:
Nothing much happened. I got to play a lot of Starcraft all afternoon. Starcraft is very fun. I'm glad we are playing a ton again.

Tuesday:
Tuesday was cool because we got to go rollerskating/rollerblading in lifetime sports. I am far more proficient on rollerblades than ice skates, but unfortunately, so were all the girls. It was still pretty cool because I was able to go fast on them. After school, we played many good Starcraft games until the scout troop parent meeting at my house. For some reason, Sai's mom brought Bodon over, so we played Halo 3 on Xbox Live. We had several good matches. The best one, which I posted screenshots of was the match where a guy teamkilled me, so I booted him, which also booted his 2 other guests, so we played a 2 on 5. Bodon and I were good enough to take advantage of the other team's lack of targets and we won 50-45. At one point we were up by about 10.

Wednesday:
Nothing really happened all day again. Starcraft occured in the afternoon.

Thursday:
Today, nothing much has happened so far. In Hollywood & History, I learned that half our class has an F and I have the highest grade in the class.

Bodon and I win a 2-5 50-45 Part 2.

Luckily I had already been killed because that mongoose I hit with a grenade flew right through my dead body. This guy crashed and burned though.
BEWARE THE FLYING MONGOOSE.
Bodon jumps out of nowhere to pwn this guy that is dead and next the other guy getting shot up.
Time to get lazered, noob.
He got lazered to the max.

Bodon and I win a 2-5 50-45 Part 1.

I got two kills whilst shooting upside down like this.
One guy survived the nade, but this guy got pwned.
This was me killing a guy that had downed my shields with a turret.
More shooting.

Bodon was the better driver I think.

Mass Effect: How sweet it is

Let me first say that Mass Effect is the second best game that I have ever played. The second best game is a very hard thing to reach. Starcraft is always and always will be number one, the number two slot is very good and definately not given out lightly. The slot was previously held by Knights of the Old Republic 1, but Bioware has outdone themselves this time.

The weekend comes first though.

On Tuesday, we went bowling in Lifetime Sports and I did very badly. Tim and Justin dominated in our lane. After school, I went out to get Mass Effect. Luckily I was waiting until Wednesday to start playing it because when I got back, I discovered that the power went out. For dinner, we went to Spiro's because the outage was just on our block and it took three hours after it went out for the electric company to believe all of us and actually send a guy out to check. I hate the electric company for that. We saw a ton of our neighbors at Spiro's. After we got home, I did a bunch of music theory missing assignments. Then our family played Taboo. Mom and Kathryn won, but dad and I had the best round of 7 answers before time was up. We also got a good one:
Dad: oh shit this is too broad
Dad: uh...........crescent wrench?
Me: .......tool?
I got it right. It was not enough to save us though. The power came back on right before I was bout to take a cold shower, so that was good.

On Wednesday, it was a mere half day. All my classes seemed to be doing something, which saddened me because I did not get to play on Sai's gamecube. After school, Steven, Orion, Chris, and I went to see Hitman. I don't know much about the others' reactions, but I thought it was good. The girl almost ruined it, and there were a few problems, such as the girl's tattoo switching sides of her face, but it was a good movie nonetheless. After that, I started Mass Effect.

On Thursday, I played Mass Effect until my family came over for Thanksgiving. My cousin and I played Halo 3 on easy and beat it in three hours. We did easy because he had not played it yet. The food was good and after everyone left, I played Starcraft with some guys in the clan, then with Steven until 1am.

On Friday, I played more Mass Effect. Around noon, I played Starcraft and that lasted until 5, when I went over to Steven's to play Frisbee. Hmm, now that I think about it, Peter Kim never showed up for that. Oh well, I helped Steven with the paper route, then frisbee commenced for a little. Orion and Alex came over and we went to Shoreline Stadium. It was mostly catch the frisbee because everyone wanted football. The four of us and Chris decided to make Sheer Pwnage, but a lack of a camera drove us to Denny's.

On Saturday, I played Mass Effect until my parents kicked me off games for the rest of the day. I went to the Apple Cup with Grandpa. It went well until we lost, but it was a close game, so that was good.

Today, the Seahawks won, but only by the margin of one yard, so it was pretty intense. Now I am doing homework.

Starcraft:
People have gotten Starcraft to work again, which means I will be playing less Guild Wars. If nobody is on sc, then I might resort to it because I want that 100% title, but I really would rather just play sc.

Mass Effect:
My hour count is a pathetic 16 thus far. I am a level 34 soldier. The leveling is super fast. The game also puts you right in the action from the start, so it can be overwhelming at first. I'd love to talk more about it, but I want to finish my homework so that I can play it more.

Nine Hundredth Post!!!!!!

Wow, who would have thought back when I first made this blog of April, 2005 that I would be making my 900th post on a school district laptop. Soon enough, I will be making my big 1000. Unfortunately, due to the fact that Zack hijacked my blog a couple of times, my actual 1000th post will be about 4 or 5 posts after my blog's 1000th post.

Well this post has another special part. This is my last post before I acquire Mass Effect. It comes out tomorrow. I was originally planning to get it at midnight, but it turned out that I forgot to take into account two important problems.
1. My parents are required to come with me to get the game as I am still under 18 and they really don't want to stay up until midnight.
2. Mass Effect may be my Halo 3, but it is no everyone else's. Therefore, stores will not be open at midnight, although the situation in Bellevue was uncertain.
So basically, I am going to go to Costco and get it for $10 cheaper as soon as school gets out. If it is not there, Best Buy says they have anticipated having way more than they will need.

Ok well this post is going to have to satisfy you for a while, since Mass Effect is supposedly pretty much the greatest game on Xbox.

Well the week ended well. Nothing happened on Thursday besides that pizza party. On friday, we learned how to bowl in Lifetime Sports. Yes, I am serious. Mrs. Faidley asked anyone if they were left handed. Reed wasn't paying attention, so I was the only one that raised my hand. Then she said "Ok, I'm going to give right handed instruction, so don't pay attention because I don't want you to learn it backwards."
Ok Mrs. Faidley. Let's see where your logic has fallen off.
First of all, I have known how to play every sport we have done in the class so far, with the exception of dancing. I even had my own equipment in many cases. We have played some very uncommon sports, so don't you think I would at least know how to bowl? Secondly, even if I didn't know how to bowl, haven't you noticed that I am smart enough to figure out that I need to do things backwards of what you say? Furthermore, even if I didn't know to do that, I should be used to doing things backwards from all the instruction I have received in other sports. Basically, it was a stupid class. We practiced bowling with nerf balls for 40 minutes.

During Law, we had a field trip to the King County Superior Court. We got to watch sentencing cases. It was actually a very good field trip. I got to ride in the elevator with a convicted arsonist. He looked like he was going to cry. We also found a room with a cool judge that talked to us because he was waiting for a person to show up. On the elevator down as we were leaving, Piotr didn't walk in very far, so to get in, I was right up against him and I said wow this is awkward. He moved in and turned around farther after he noticed that and then I was the only person not facing the elevator. Mrs. Kim said "hmm David you seem to be the only one not facing the door, why is that?" She said it in the tone that one of the guys would use though, so I stuck my butt at the door and was about to say "yeah door's open whoever wants to hop on," but then I realized Mrs. Kim was not one of the guys and I quickly changed what I said to "Yeah I'll rip a fart out at the first person to open the door." Luckily I was able to think quickly and avoided an awkward scenario. After we got outside, we walked by a transvestite and Gerard made fun of her later. Soon after he did, a bird pooped on his head.

This weekend, I played a lot of Knights of the Old Republic to get ready for Mass Effect. I got pretty far and remembered how fun the game was.

On Sunday, I got invited to the Seahawks game because my aunt broke her wrist and wasn't up to going. Dad had just been to the Husky game and didn't want to go. I went and it was a great game. We won, which was great because my second cousin(by marriage to my actual second cousin), who is a dick with small man syndrome loves the bears and i don't like him. Josh Brown had a sweet tackle, so this post can be dedicated to him I guess. Well that's it until after Mass Effect. Peace out.

AIM Profile cleansing take........*large number*

Ok well I guess while I clean out my profile since Davis said something funny, I had better talk about today as well.

Nothing exciting happened really until STAR, when I happened to run by Harshman who told me to follow him to the spontaneous pizza party for thanks for band in the cafeteria. He was like "Yeah finally after 9 years, some recognition!" He scared Alex by calling him a liar. The pizza was pretty good. I actually broke my habit of not eating junk food before noon because I figured it was a special occasion. In lifetime sports, we went ice skating, which is the ultimate girl picking up(literally) sport. Unfortunately, I was very uncomfortable on my skates. I didn't fall down, but I wasn't able to focus on much else besides my own two feet.

Profile Time:

David: Getting sex should be our M.O.
Davis: Unfortunately, our MO is followed by RPG.

I am sorry Keir, I know you have so little in my profile, but this has been in since spring.

Keir on Stephen Erickson:
yeah, stephen is a fine specimen of a man
if i was a woman, id be all over him like white on rice
if he was homework, id be doing him on my desk right now
if he was stephen colbert, id watch him every night from 8:30-9:00
if he was my blanky, he'd be on top of me every night

6 Days Until Mass Effect!!!!!!!!!6666!!!!!!!!111

What was I thinking not posting about the week before I left to Disneyland? I will do my best to regail you with tales of last week before getting into the real meat of Disneyland.

Monday:
Yeah nothing is coming to mind, so I will assume I just played Guild Wars or Guitar Hero 2 a ton that day.

Tuesday:
We played tennis in lifetime sports. Mrs. Faidley continues to be amazed that I play every sport we have done so far, except dancing. It would have been good, except the only other person in the class who can sort of keep up with me is Justin, but I had to only exert about 50% effort to pwn. Nothing much else hsppened.

Wednesday:
We had a test in music theory. As usual, I got raped, but I got almost 100% in a middle section of it. More Guild Wars and getting my title happened in the afternoon.

Thursday:
We went to mountlake terrace in lifetime sports and played some racquetball. As usual, Justin and I were leagues above everyone else, so I took it easy. After school, I had to get ready for my Eagle board of review. The three people came over at 7 and interviewed me for about an hour about things ranging from the scout law to how I think I can improve scouting, and many other things. It went well. Lyn and Ed, my invitees to the board were able to advertise me as I gave my answers. It was like staging a fake FEMA conference and only getting questions you wanted asked. Long story short, I got Eagle scout and now I am teh pwnage and feel allowed to have a pocketknife with me whenever because who knows when I might need it.

Friday:
I had to take the Breeze to school because dad was getting popcorn. The day went pretty well, the test in theory even went well. After school, we headed down to Sea-Tac to get a plane to Disneyland. We got in later in the night and went to bed early to wake up for early entry the next day at 7.

Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday:
So I am combining these days to organize the post easier. Basically, we spent most of our time in Tomorrowland because it had Star Tours(Star Wars themed ride), Buzz Lightyear's Astroblaster(FPS), and Space Mountain. We rode a ton of rides due to the micro that dad and I have when in Disneyland. Our motto in Disneyland is "We can rest when we're not on vacation." Basically, the micro to which I am referring involves getting Fastpasses at strategic times to maximize the amount of rides we can do.

Fastpasses:
There are some rules to the fastpass that are important to know. If you learn how to use them well, then you can completely maximize your amount of rides and minimize your time waiting for them.
1. The big stupid mistake is that many people think you can only get one per day. This is not true.
2. You can get a new fastpass either 2 hours after you get one, or at the start of the time slot listed on it, whichever is sooner. Say it is 10:00. If you have a fastpass that says 12:30-1:30, you can get a fastpass at 12:00, 2 hours after your current one. If it is 10:00 and your fastpass is something like 11:30-12:30, you can get a new one at 11:30.
3. On your fastpass, it will show you an hour time slot, such as 12:00-1:00. The first time is the time you can start using that pass. The second time, is meaningless. Many people think that you have to use it in that time, but the secret is that you don't. You can use the pass at any time during the day after it starts until the park closes.

Star Tours:
For those of you that have never been on it, Star Tours is a ride in which you ride in a big room that moves according to the images you see on screen so it looks and feels like you are moving although you really aren't. Since I am a diehard Star Wars fan, I have always loved that ride ever since I first rode it many many years ago. My record for the most times riding it in one trip was 7 and dad and I set out to break that record this time. We rode it 10 times in 4 days. The first time we rode it, we had it to ourselves. It was pretty awesome.

Buzz Lightyear's Astro Blasters:
This ride is fairly new. What it does is put you in a cart with 2 seats. Both seats have their own laser gun. You shoot at targets as you go by. There is a daily top 10 board that you get on if your score is high. The top 10 board is luck because the only way to match their scores of over 1,000,000 is to get very lucky by having a person in a wheelchair stopping the ride. When a person in a wheelchair gets on, the ride stops for a few seconds giving you free shots. Dad and I are very good at it and always compete whilst on it. The best you can do on a run with no wheelchairs is about 700,000. You realy need that wheelchair to stop the ride to get lucky. I got lucky and was able to catch the number 2 high score (picture coming) The best I did other than that was 2 7th place finishes by getting high scores early in the day, but they were surpassed soon after.

Finding Nemo Submarine:
It took the place of the old submarine ride and I like the old one better. This new one lasts 15 minutes and sucks. Unfortunately, the wait is always 90+ minutes unless you sprint there first thing in the morning. It's not worth it. Period.

Space Mountain:
The big rollercoaster in Tomorrowland. We always loved this one and it is still good.

Thunder Mountain Railroad:
We rode this one a bunch as well, the ceilings seem to get lower each time. The coolest ride was during the fireworks show in which we got to see the fireworks while on the ride. It was really cool.

Pirates of the Caribbean:
They changed it a bit, adding Jack Sparrow to the plot of the ride a lot more. Everyone seemed to like it, but since I am such a classicist, I did not.

Splash Mountain:
Still a great ride. You get wet.

California Adventure was good too, the big three rides were always good. Soaring Over California, Screamin', and Tower of Terror are all good rides.

Some cool things that happened were:
Almost bumping into Monique??(black girl from high school musical or so I am told) I dodged at the last second to avoid a collision. The staff member escorting her shot me an angry look.

We got awarded a big fastpass thing(picture coming) for taking a shortcut that is rarely used.

We had a flight that left on time!

Yeah it was a pretty good trip. When I got back home, I noticed my pants were vibrating. Some number was frantically calling me. Just as I was about to call said number, it rang me again. Turns out it was just Sam, so I spared the telling her off for calling me so late. She needed to ask about Theory homework she missed, but it wound up being a 45 minute call. Luckily I never come close to using my minutes per month, so my phone is extremely cheap each month. It was a good chat, but once the sleep I banked on the plane started to wear off, I had to hang up on her.

Well stuff is coming now. 6 days until Mass Effect. I don't think my parents are letting me get it at midnight, which screws me up since I am not 18 and need them to get it. I will get it on opening day though. I am now desperately trying to finish college apps before I get Mass Effect because I know that I won't be doing much else. If anyone wants to hang out, I will put down Mass Effect for that, but I think otherwise I will not be spending much time on the 100% title for a while. Pictures are coming, just hang on.

Coming to a superfly blog near you!

Ok here they are. All of the crappy pictures of the FBLA conference, ironically, none of them are of the actual conference. We might as well have just worn suits around Portland.

Well, enjoy.

I leave for Disneyland tomorrow after school and get back on Tuesday.

Next week, expect posts involving:
Disneyland
Tennis pictures
HC pictures???
Hawaii pictures????

Yeah that should satisfy your need for pictures. Ok well I will post later today hopefully after I am an Eagle Scout.

Orion sleeping. It was actually very dark outside since it was just barely after 7am. I don't know what the camera did.
