Kitchen Demolition Part 3

If you look closely, you will see some black stripes on the wall. That is from having candles right below them.
What the kitchen looked like right after finding out the guys were coming to wreck it in 2 hours.
Moving into the new pantry.
The new pantry.
A bottle of whiskey from a few months before I was born. Dad had forgotten about it apparently, since I almost had to get on a stepladder to reach it. We decided we will open it on my 21st birthday to see if it is still anything because it has currently been aged for 24 years.

Kitchen Demolition Part 2

One of the last cabinets to go.
We took all the doors off to make it easier for when we had to move them all out permanently.
No more shelves in some cabinets either.
We got rid of all drawers not holding something useful.
Skyway enjoyed the freedom of having no doors.

A very odd, yet still good week

This has been a good week for me and I shall get right into it rather than waste time with my traditional opening paragraph. That's right, this is all the intro you get today.

Tuesday:
We had no more scheduled movies in Hollywood & History, so we watched this movie called Do the Right Thing. It's this really stereotypical movie about black people and civil rights and stuff. It reminded me a bit of Crash, which I never saw. The movie offered up some good quotes, such as "It is too hot to fuck!" and "Naw man the best piece o a woman I ever had was on a hot day!" Many other quotes from the movie as well. In Lifetime Sports, we went bowling. It was pretty fun. I'm starting to get better at it, being able to come up to around 110 consistently finally. After school, I skipped frisbee practice to practice my French Horn instead for my UW music program audition on Saturday. The way it works is that I have to try out to get into the program. I can get accepted into the program and still not at the school, but I need to try out either way and worst case scenario: I know I can at least try out again and make it when I eventually get in.

Wednesday:
We had a 100 minute lecture in Physics about optics. I actually like optics, so it was nice to have Mr. Davis talking in the background while I took notes as he occasionally put something on the board and then went to play Quinn until Davis (not Mr.) got pissy about it and closed the laptop. After school, I practiced some more and then did some more homework.

Thursday:
We finished up Do the Right Thing. That was such an odd movie. In Lifetime Sports, more bowling. After school, I skipped frisbee again in order to practice.

Friday:
We originally planned on seeing Meet the Spartans, then going to the game, then seeing Rambo. Davis had problems with scheduling though due to needing to be at a Jazz thing at 11 am the next morning. My audition was at 9:30, but I still went. We decided not to go to Meet the Spartans, which seems to have gotten favorable feedback. We need to see it eventually. I went to the game and Steven forgot, so I left right before the fourth quarter. I met up with Orion at his house, then Steven came. We went to the 10:00 showing of Rambo. There were some drunk people there we assume because when everyone got up at the end, we heard beer bottles clinking around. Oh and we saw a preview about this really dark kind of movie with a guy that butchers people in the subway. The title came up as "Midnight Meat Train." Everyone in the theater was laughing. You just can't get away with having a horror movie named something that makes people think it's some kind of gay porn movie. Rambo was really good, despite the lack of dialogue. The longest sentence was about ten words long, you could tell Silvester Stallone was directing.

Saturday:
I got up at 7 and left the house around 8 to get to my audition in time. We needed to leave early to ensure this. I siuted up because they said to dress nicely, not necessarily concert attire. I decided to not wear concert attire, I one upped it instead. That's how I roll. I hopped in a practice room for about half an hour to fine tune the horn and hammer out some minor bumps. As I was waiting for the audition, I heard someone trying out inside. Mom thought it was a horn, but I thought it sounded like a trombone. When that person's tryout was over, this girl who was very pretty by band standards came out just crying her eyes out. The group "leader" as I designated him came out after her to try to console her. She sounded pretty good, but did have a couple of really really rough spots in her song as I could hear through the door. The leader invited me inside and showed my my seat and told me to go whenever. There were six people evaluating me. I tried to get really realaxed after that girl had come out of there like that. She was probably just a perfectionist. Anyway, I played my two songs and then the leader guessed that I was on a Yamaha which I was. He also knew my former private lessons teacher. After I was finished, he commented on my sound which I had noticed. I think the room was just made really well because I noticed my sound quality had gotten much much much better in there. He complemented me on my playing and then said that I need to play louder and "That is one of the first things we will work on." I didn't get my hopes up much on that though. As we left, mom and dad told me the lady said that we would hear if I got in anytime between a week and the end of March most likely. That made me a bit nervous, but I figured I would just have to wait.

When we got home, we listened to messages and learned that our contractor was coming in 2 hours to demolish the kitchen. We moved everything out of the area. Kathryn's room became the new family room inheriting furinture. Downstairs became the greenhouse, getting all the plants. My room became the Pantry, dining room, and cabinets, inheriting all of the things in all of those things. On the plus side, I now have all non-refridgerated food in my room. Destroying the kitchen was fun. I got to kick out some drywall. The cats did not enjoy this, but they hid downstairs. Dad and I took most of the drywall to the dump and it was nice because hardly anyone was there.

Today:
We started our week with no appliances. We had a hot-plate for cooking water for hot chocolate. In the afternoon, we went to install this new desk at my aunt's house. It's really cool. It's a computer desk that has a built in power strip and you can press a button to turn off a certain aspect of your computer, such as the monitor, speakers, or cpu, etc. It took about three hours to figure out because of all the cords, but we got to see the end of Scorpion King in which the Rock jacks someone's bow and takes the arrow that was shot into his back and shoots the bad guy with it. The Rock is so manly that he doens't use a quiver, he uses his back. On our way home, my aunt decided to let us borrow her microwave, which is our microwave that we had before we got our newer one in 1995. We now have this one that sits on a table and plugs into an outlet, so it will be nice to have that to help cook some meals and we won't have to eat out as much. When we got back, I learned that I had been accepted into the UW music program. That was cool because we expected it to take much longer than that. They said they really liked my sound and looked forward to having me. Now here's hoping I get into the UW in general.

Peace out for now.

Communicating with Morons

So I had to go to this site for the FBLA Data Match thing coming up soon that we had done in Freshman year. Upon my arrival to the site, I immediately noticed that things were going to be odd. First, there are the two people for the T's that look strange. Then, we have the title with a random word not capitalized at the start. Then, still in the title, they couldn't fit the whole thing into one line I guess, or maybe they didn't know they could just edit it instead of doing that stupid carat thing. From there, I noticed that this is "300% fun." As Orion so aptly put it "I don't know how you calculate fun. I don't think that's possible." Orion also said "When adults try to make cool things for kids, they turn out really lame, but this one is so lame it will be alright."

Quinn!

Of all the glitches to get in Quinn, I had to get the one that doesn't help you. It for some reason did not show my score, lines, lines per minute, or what piece was coming next. I actually managed to get into my high scores with this game though. Thank goodness for the undo command in Quinn.

10,000 means I'm cool.

I know, I know. I normally would have posted yesterday, but I waited to break 10,000 gamerpoints on my Xbox profile. Call of Duty 4 is a very good game, but the multiplayer must be insanely good because the single player campaign is short. I beat it in about 8 hours on Saturday. But enough about Saturday, you need to hear about the whole week!

Monday:
The thing that kept me going this week would have been that Keir was coming, but instead I had only to look forward to the MASSIVE STARCRAFT MARATHON that would ensue in lieu of Keir coming. Monday brought about nothing. We had frisbee practice in the rain for about half an hour. I didn't have rain gear so I had a t-shirt and shorts. I might has well have jumped into a pool I was so wet.

Tuesday:
It snowed! Ice completely covered the roads and school was not delayed. Many complaints were sent to the district. There was no reason not to delay school. I almost got hit about 5 times on the way to school and a normally 6 minute drive took over half an hour. I am very angry with the district. Fortunately, I had easy classes before frisbee practice that afternoon. It was pretty cool and Ms. Sukol learned I'm left handed, not retarted. She thought I was doing a really crappy backhand, but I had to do forehands for the drill so she said just keep practicing it. The practice in the snow was really cool.

Wednesday:
Orion showed up alone due to the fact that he had been having car trouble and told Steven he might want to take the bus. The day went well with few bad things happening. I ran a bunch of people for free in Guild Wars, but many insisted on paying me after I completed the run despite having titans on. One guy said it was pretty bad ass of me. I also got .1% somehow on the run. I later went and got .3% in the nearby areas.

Thursday:
More easy classes. We had a "Martin Luther King Jr. Assembly" which consisted of sitting in our classes and watching an intensely crappy and stereotypical video that lasted 5 minutes (thank God) and then proceeded to spend a half an hour discussing that video in our classes. Mr. Stuart didn't really talk with us because we had just studied that part of history earlier in the week. We quickly answered the questions before having time to do nothing. After school, we had another frisbee practice, but at Shoreview since we trashed Shorewood on Tuesday. Mr. Bruegger (sp) was there and he turns out to be a cool guy. We did fun drills that weren't too demanding and had a pretty awesome scrimmage.

Friday:
Nothing much happened at all. We had a surprise test in Physics and gratz to Steven for being the only person to get the last question right. After school, I went to the basketball game. It was so boring. Four people including the drum majors dressed up for robots. Sucky theme. Sucky basketball players. By the end of the first quarter, only 10 points had been scored total. It was pretty sad to watch. After that, I drove Brad home, then Steven home.

Saturday:
I started playing Call of Duty 4. Eight hours later, I beat the single player campaign on the easy difficulty. Mind you this was with a lunch break in the middle. Anyway, it was really short, which was too bad because it was a really good game, despite its lack of World War 2.

Sunday:
I started playing Call of Duty 4 on Veteran mode and got a good chunk done before football ensued. After that, we went to my grandpa's house. Afterwards we had planned to actually film Sheer Pwnage this time, which I was skeptical on and we wound up not doing that, but instead playing Impossible Scenarios on Starcraft. We could have won, but some guys quit. After that, I watched Gladiator.

Today:
More Call of Duty 4. Now it is time for homework and pracicing my horn for the UW tryout on Saturday which I really want to nail because a girl I know in the marching band says they need more rookie mellophones in the marching band. I shall make it into this music program.

Oh and Steven, I'm going to either leave early from or miss entirely the practices this week.

A short poem for you.

Patriot's win by 8,
Packers win by 6.
We need to do something this weekend,
like play pick up sticks.

Or anything else you can think of. Post coming soon enough.

Kitchen Demolition Part 1

Well we actually started a week ago, so the first few pictures are from then. This week, we only took out the one cabinet. The real work starts on this Saturday. I posted the pictures in backwards order so that you don't have to scroll all the way down and come back up. I'm holding off posting before pictures until we have after pictures as well.

Taking out the cabinets

Hmm, we can't just let this hang here, or can we?

Using coathangers to preserve the lighting fixture as best we can.

The third cabinet we've taken out.

Whoa, I thought it existed, but I never really saw it with my own eyes. IT'S THE SIDE OF THE MICROWAVE.

One of the mysterious holes behind the cabinet.

I hope I am not on a downward trend here.

Well the Packers won, but by significantly more than I, or many other people for that matter, thought. I did ok there though. The Patriots won, duh. That was an easy call.

Today, the Colts first lost, which surprised me, then I was further surprised to see the Cowboys lose.

Well, go Chargers and go Packers, but mostly go Packers.

And now off to the week. It was a pretty uneventful week and it seemed to go by very quickly. So quickly in fact, that I can skip monday. On tuesday, Steven and I went to Best Buy to get headsets. It's a good headset and the mic is better, but I have to unplug my speakers to plug the headphones, which isn't as much of a hassle as it sounds actually. We tested out the headsets on CounterStrike, which proved their awesomeness.

On Wednesday, Steven got online with Nick (Ashley's friend from California) for some Guild Wars after informing me that we had missed Wintersday. This made me sad because I had been looking forward to it before being distracted by Starcraft. It was an awesome distraction though. So I got back into Guild Wars and I am back on the way to completing my 100% exploration title. I am on .1% per day because I am at 96.7% and new stuff is hard to come by. I intend to not get distracted this time because I want to get it finished and try to get some fun stuff going with Orion. Steven also rejoined the guild temporarily due to being kicked out of Pie for inactivity I presume.

On Thursday, we got to practice for our mock trial in Law. We got help from Mrs. Bonner, who is a pr0 lawyer. She helped us (prosecution) become good at objecting to everything. I even managed to find a term she couldn't remember (speculation). That made me feel pretty smart.

On Friday, I went with Davis and Orion to Jenni and Val's party. On the way there we picked up a present, a book called Solving Common Sexual Problems, and half a loaf of bread to conceal said book inside a bag. The gift got some laughs, though not as many as we expected. The party involved a lot of talking and a severe lack of games, which led Davis, Braden, and I to start a balloon fight.

On Saturday, I watched a lot of football and got happy as my two picks won, but got sad because the Seahawks lost and the Patriots won.

Today, I didn't watch as much football, but I tuned in often. I was preoccupied with beating Assassin's Creed 100% today since I was so close. Now I will start a different game next weekend since that one is over. It was pretty good. The ending really angers me, but it was good nonetheless.

I should do some homework, peace out.

This is hopefully legal....

So here I am going to post my picks for the second round of the NFL playoffs. I felt like since I was 4 for 4 in the first round, I would try my luck this round. I added point differences this time. After I post my thoughts, I will post the Vegas decisions to the best that I can read them. I got the Vegas opinions for free, so it should be legit. My decisions are independent and were not affected by the Vegas decisions, although we seem to have agreed on what team will win because that is mostly common sense.

Seattle at Green Bay = Green Bay +6
Seattle's defense might come online, but the game will rest on their shoulders especially if Matt is still complaining about his wrist. Favre, unfortunately for us, can wipe the floor with Seattle and will more than likely end our Super Bowl dream.

Jacksonville at New England = New England +14
This on is almost a no-brainer. Jacksonville had a good season, but New England had THE good season. I think New England is going to the Super Bowl and if they don't I will be both happy and shocked.

San Diego at Indianapolis = Indianapolis +6
The Chargers didn't look so good last week when they struggled to get some points on the board, but in the end they were really working together. If they do the same as last game, the Colts will have a chance to get more points on the board early on.

New York at Dallas = Dallas + 3
This one is hard to tell, but I really think Dallas can take New York.

Vegas Time!!!!!!

I'm not an expert on how to read what the Vegas odds are telling me, but this is what Vegas is generally predicting to the best of my ability.

Seattle at Green Bay = Green Bay +8
Possible Snow Showers and Temperatures in the '20s. Green Bay looks to be ahead throughout the entire game.

Jacksonville at New England = New England +13.5
At the rate it's been going, I expect it to be +14 by kickoff. New England will dominate the entire game and the weather looks to be cold, but dry.

San Diego at Indianapolis = Indianapolis +9
San Diego's Tight End Gates looks doubtful for playing. Indianapolis' Wide Reciever Harrison seems probable. I had to check the weather and it looks like it will be about 30 degrees with a chance of snow showers.

New York at Dallas = Dallas +8
Dallas' Wide Reciever Owens practiced today so he should be playing. I had to look up the weather again and it looks like it will be about 55 degrees and sunny.

So basically I agree mostly with Vegas, but they have put more thought into it than me because I didn't take weather or players into account. I just looked at the team as a whole. Anyway, things look like this will be a weekend for the home team advantage. I've never bet on sports, does anyone want to bet with me for fun? I would want to keep it small if we do since there are four games.

Ah well, time to get my Grandmaster Cartographer title.

Peace out.

The result of a strange good mood.

I don't know if anyone noticed, but this past week, I have been in a much better mood than usual. I didn't get mad at people, not even secretly, you stupid noobs. Just kidding about that, but seriously, I felt uncharacteristically happy all week. I'm getting tired of it. I found myself smiling randomly even if nobody was saying anything nice or funny. I need to get back into my routine of casual cynicism. Don't leave mean comments though because I will totally kill you if you do. Or will I? Depends on my mood I guess. Well you didn't come to the blog to check out my feelings, thats gay stuff that, according to keir, will make most of my readers happy.

Keir: Your blog is nice.
Keir: No wonder it attracts all the homosexuals on the west coast.
Me: This is true.
Me: But hey, if I ever need to hit up a gay bar
Me: I'm set.

Ok enough tomfoolery, time to review the week.

Wednesday:
Nothing much happened on Wednesday that was not homework related. I just did my homework while watching Red Vs. Blue.

Thursday:
School started back up, but I didn't really mind getting up because while I didn't really want to, I realized that I got a lot done over the break, but it still felt like I had just been in this routine a couple of days ago. The break was long enough to get a lot done, but not too long so that I would get mad when it was over. Either that, or my peculiar good mood overcame my anger at getting up. After school, I went over to Steven's where Sai came shortly thereafter and we "did" the physics test. By that, I mean we copied Sai, they checked the answers, then we watched Superbad. I thought it was pretty good with some good quotes, but not as good as everyone said it was. I enjoyed the McLovin segments much more than the other ones.

Friday:
School was pretty boring. Maddy was once again absent from band and I got this kickass part for fourth horn in which I get to play in bass clef, and at one point, 5 ledger lines below the treble staff, which is my low B. I rarely get to go down to F even, so I was excited until Mr. Harshman said we were not playing that movement. That was the low point of my week. It was either that or leaving the Sydows on Sunday. Actually yeah having to leave the Sydows was the low point and this new one was slightly less bad. Either way, I still have good low parts on some of the other movements. After school, nobody was online, so I was sitting around being bored when Maddy told me to come to the game, so I did. I got out of the whole first quarter, thank you Mr. Davis. I only had to play 2/3 of what I usually need to for the same amount of credit. In the fourth quarter, I got bored and ditched the band for a little bit to help Mr. Moreno bring in mats for the wrestling tournament the next day. After the game, I got to help set up for it. I even saw David from scouts a long time ago, which was awkward because I didn't really like him too much other than the fact that his name was David. After the game, I went home and didn't do much else.

Saturday:
Kathryn had a friend over the whole day and I just played games the whole day. That night, I went to play frisbee with Steven, Orion, Jake, Jack, Zack, Chris, Mike, and Brady. It was a good use of 2 hours, but when I got back, Kathryn and her friend had comandeered the downstairs TV room for their sleep area, preventing me from getting my night gaming in. Angry, I went upstairs and played Quinn with Scott until we just started chatting about how I didn't like Sony and he didn't like Microsoft. Scott's actually a pretty cool guy.

Sunday:
I did my homework today. Nothing interesting happened. I opened several talk bubbles, but the only person that said anything to me was Justin, who I didn't even try to talk to. Steven said a few things as well, but then disappeared. Maybe Sai will talk. Oh well, I should finish up my homework because AMERICAN GLADIATORS PREMIERES TONIGHT. That show was once very awesome and I know it will be this time around as well. Who couldn't like huge steroid-filled men and women beating the crap of former high school football players?

That's it for now, Peace out. I'll probably think about posting pictures, but don't count on it.

Way to build self-esteem, YouTube!

Tuesday, January 01, 2008

Look below for pictures and expect some tomorrow as well when I should be doing my homework.

Well what a break it has been. There was an extreme lack of Snowball Wars, but it has been done. All is well. I'll pick up where I left off I guess as I usually do. Look at the pictures below first though if you haven't because they are pictures of things leading up to the trip, except for the two signs, but they are not plot moving on the trip so go ahead and look at those too.

Ok I hate to mention where I went. I went to California yet again. Rachel (friend from Cali and her family) booked a couple rooms at Disneyland on the same day we did that one time (see old post circa early november or something or at least circa late september). We went down to chill with them because any amount of time spent with them is great. Also, the significantly reduced stress that was taken away by her presence allowed me to get over the cold that was dogging me before we left. It was a really bad cold, even for me. On the plane ride down, I purposely clogged my ears in hopes that they would pop and clear up. I couldn't hear much anyway out of them. It actually worked about 50%, which was 50% more than I thought it would work. However, it did hurt quite a bit. On top of that, I had a bad cough and the Columbia River running(IN SQUARES) out my nose. I also had a fever, but that was nice in the cold weather so I can't complain. We left home at 5 in the morning to make our flight at 8 in the morning.

When we got down, we went to the hotel and met up with them (The Sydows). Disneyland was CROWDED. How crowded? So crowded that they had oversold and had to turn people away if they were not staying at a disnelyand hotel crowded. Like where they let 15 people in for ever 100 that left just to empty the park full. I had never in my life seen it so bad and I hope never to again. One thing I enjoyed about the long lines was the fact that Rachel was there to talk to for the duration. It made the lines progress significantly faster, or at least seem to. We rode many rides, one of them being the pink teacup. I had to manly it up by spinning it really fast. Mission Accomplished. Star Tours was ridden a couple times. That night, we went to the other park, California Adventure to ride other rides. We got to see the electrical light parade. Since 9/11, a new float on the parade was added. It is an American pride float. It includes the Declaration of Independence and an Eagle and ladies dancing around it. One problem, the ladies are wearing RED COATS similar to the ones worn by BRITAIN in the American Revolutionary War. Way to go Disney.

The next day, we did more of the same. We managed to get in some good Space Mountain flights, including one where we were supposed to move to the side after finishing the first go-round to make it open for handicap loading, but the n00b at the console cued us up too far, so we got to go again. Pwnage. As we pulled in from that trip, the ride had broken down. We lolled at that as we got off the ride. That night, we watched the fireworks, then proceeded to try to mass through the crowd. It was very hard to mass through the crowd as we were split up. The four adults and Kathryn and Shannon went one way and got stuck in the mob running to the exit while Rachel and I pushed through the mob. I heard that watching us was funny because there was a sea of faces and then the back of Rachel and my heads slowly moving through the crowd. Eventually we got through and did a couple of rides, then Marc(her dad), Shannon, Rachel, and I decided to go on the Matterhorn while the others just sat down. For those of you that have never ridden the Matterhorn, I shall explain it. On most rollercoasters, you sit in a unit of about 2 usually next to another. On the matterhorn, the larger rider goes in the cart and sits against the back and puts their legs out in front and the smaller rider sits between the other one's legs. Marc rode with Shannon and said to me in line "Well it looks like you're saddlin up with Rach." All I could say was "That was an interesting way of putting it" Let me just say it was without a doubt, the best rollercoaster ride ever. EVER. I accidentally "poked" her as Keir put it, but she was nice enough not to mention it, or she didn't notice it. I hope it was the first one because otherwise it would imply that mine is very small. So anyway. Next day.....

We got up and had breakfast with the Sydows before parting ways until the next day. They had to go see their aunt, who is Marc, but a woman. She looks like the woman version of him and sounds and acts like him. She's really nice. For the rest of the day, we drove to Santa Monica. If I ever go back there, it will be becuase my dead body was taken there for some reason. We saw the historic boardwalk and muscle beach. It was really beaten down and ugly. I hate that city so much. We ate at this cool sports bar to watch the first half of the Patriots vs. Giants game. I was happy to find a large amount Giants fans in my vicinity and had good times cheering with them as the Giants drove to victory. I left at the third quarter so we could get back to the hotel. I got back for the end of the third quarter to find the Giants barely holding on. After a slow crushing, I was subject (did not want to see it) to history. Congratulations Patriots on going undefeated. Even if I hate you, it's still a great achievement.

The next day, we drove out to Universal Studios to find a place to eat with the Sydows. It was a good lunch and all the TVs around us were turned to the Seahawks game and Rachel was also disappointed with the loss of the Giants. Breakfast sounded small, but turned out to be huge. After breakfast, we hung around until we had to part ways. I didn't really want them to leave, but hopefully Rachel will come up here for prom. Fingers are so crossed, they have practically switched places. After that, we drove to a movie theater and sat in the car for an hour and a half because we wanted to see a movie that didn't start for a while. At 4:30, we saw National Treasure 2. It was pretty good. I also learned that there is a movie called Wall-E coming out on my birthday. At the end of the preview, my birthday was projected onto the silver screen. It was actually really cool for me probably due to the lack of recognition of when my birthday is. Anyway, NT2 was a good movie. After that, we went to the airport and waited until 9 for our flight to board. We got home at 2am.

I got up at 8:30, half an hour before dad, and 1.5 hours before the other two because I needed to plan a party that I only knew was at my house. I eventually got all the details from Sai. He did a good job planning. So unfortunately, Orion couldn't come, but he was there in spirit. He was the spirit of the losing team in GoW (jk man). My 360 had too many maps for the others, so we did 2v2, which worked out well. There was also COD4 and SSBM happening. GoW was very nice. I had lots of fun. People that made it to the party were Sai, Bodon, Davis, Steven, Ashley, Jake, Rob, Amanuel, Eric, and Willie. After many people left, we were down to 6 around 11:30, so we played Halo 3. It was Willie, Jake, and Eric vs. Steven, Ashley, and I. We lost all the time, but usually by around 15 kills. To finish it all off, we did a 250 kill match that lasted about half an hour to 45 minutes. It was good fun. After that, I drove Steven and Ashley home, but Steven fell asleep in the car, leading to awkward silence. Luckily he woke up as we arrived.

Today, KEIR, STEVEN, AND I PLAYED SNOWBALL WARS AND PWNED. We finally kicked off Snowball Wars 2007/2008. It was very good. Until we played, I spent most of the afternoon playing Quinn with Steven, Ashley, and Scott.

Well things now are going good. Check other blogs for what I'm sure will be other good stories, but hurry back tomorrow sometime when I will think about posting pictures and probably will not get around to it. We ordered my senior pictures, so hopefully I will feel like posting those.

The sliver in my pinky finger. It went down in below the nail, kept going, then came back up, but when it came back up, it was blocked by the fingernail. It then rode the fingernail out to the end. It is now out.

A haul of much goodity.

Ok well it's what now, the 26th? Wow. Steven, Keir, and I haven't even played Snowball Wars. Guys, the 30th. The three of us need to play at least one this year. Well there is going to be a party on New Year's Eve, everyone else willing. I will get to that later, first I need to post about Christmas.

For Christmas, I got a plethora of games. By that, I mean whatever I didn't get, I have enough money from my Eagle ceremony and from Christmas to buy more. I also got World in Conflict as my "Santa" present. I haven't put it on the computer yet, but I hope to soon. I got some random presents as well; including a finger drum set, a South Pole (gangster) Sweater, an optical illusion deck of cards from 1987, and a bunch of nostalgic Seahawks towels from games in the 1980's. My aunt wrapped my presents in those because she knew I would like them and I did. She has had season tickets since 1978, so that's why she had them. I have only gotten on one game since Christmas, Assassin's Creed. I felt like it was a shorter one and I was probably right. It looks like a nice 36 hour game (ideal time) in which I will be able to get every achievement on the first runthrough. The story is really really really not what I expected in a wierd and sort of bad way. I also had hoped for more in depth gameplay, but the combat is exactly like Spiderman 3, where you press a combination of buttons, almost always including the X button in order to attack. One thing that it beats Spiderman on though is graphics. The awesome blood and guts flowing everywhere in the fighting is almost enough to make me forget I'm pressing two buttons. I have to bring you over so I can show you some of the cool moves you can do. The game is fun, but it isn't what I expected. I can definately get into it though.

Ok so I am going out of town from early on the 27th to the 30th late. New Year's Eve is the first day I will be back. I can probably communicate a couple times daily via email (read and send early in the morning and late at night). I will be talking to you guys that are helping to plan via email as much as I can. Here is a list of what we need.
1. Time: 3 or 4:00 pm - midnight or 1am seems the best.
2. Try to get as many 360's as possible. We can probably get 3 and if you can get a fourth, that would be ideal.
3. Bring a cube for smash. Even if we have 4 360's, we should have it as backup and we need it as a failsafe plan in case a 360 owner drops the ball.
4. Make sure everyone knows that there is under no circumstance to be any halo. Gears is the only game that will be played. No exceptions, except for anything on the gamecube. If anyone finds a way to play halo on the gamecube, then by all means, go ahead, but the 360's will only be playing Gears of War.
5. We want 10-12 people coming. So far, there are five (Sai, Steven, Davis, Orion, and I). Eric Chan has a 360 and should have GoW, so there's 6. Ahmad has GoW, so there's 7. Try to get 3-5 more people there.
6. I have three useable TV's, we will need 1 or 2 depending on whether we have a fourth 360 coming. If we have a fourth, then we will need 2 more TV's one for that 360 and one for the cube.
7. Find out where we can have the party. Sai's house works if we stick the cube back in Sai's room. My house also works and has 2 rooms, preventing screen looking. Steven's house??? Davis can't because he might need to leave. Orion's house???
8. WE ARE ONLY PLAYING GEARS OF WAR.
9. Don't invite people that will try to make people play halo.
10. Check your emails because I am going to be frantically trying to contact you via my mom's laptop twice a day to get updates.
Sai, Davis, Steven, Orion. Please do a good job so that this party does not go the way of homecoming. I'm sure you will, I just don't like being in any control of it.

Peace out.
