Howdy all, I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving Break. I'll get to mine eventually, but first I have some stuff to talk about in my intro (for once). I learned that my blog is not being used as hub status! This is surely a travesty as I would not want people to not think I updated since they are using a less frequently updated (but still interesting) blog. I guess there's not much I can do to get people to change to mine since we agreed not to run ads on our blog (which was my only real option). I guess to appeal to the female audience, I could say something nice about women like....um....that dress does make your butt look big, which is pretty awesome if you ask me. I mean, we all gotta like the butts we have, it's not like we were all born with a detachable ass... Anyway, if you don't use my blog as a hub, that's fine. If you do read my blog though, feel free to comment. It's not that I get tired of seeing the same 3 commenters all the time (I'm just happy to see comments), but I'm sure the girls can come up with witty things to say to my posts.
In other news, No-Shave November ends today. This was my first time fully participating since the days before I shaved. I decided that for some reason, this would be my last one because by this time next year, I would have a girlfriend telling me not to do it or at least maybe I will have had a girlfriend. Another few of reasons why I probably won't do it again are:
1. My facial hair grows too slowly
2. Apparently the only facial hair I can grow fairly quickly is a neckbeard. If you don't know what that is, just don't go google it. If you do know, take comfort in the fact that it shall soon be gone.
3. When you have facial hair year round, spending a month not trimming it and making it look good is just not very fun.
Ok well that was a pretty lengthy intro, so how about I get into the week now? It could get long, but hopefully I'll be able to keep it to a reasonable length for you.
Monday:
Well in band, only 4 people turned in their forms for the trip. After 2 hours of playing, we got to the song that our secondary conductor lead on, so Ken decided to do spontaneous tryouts for his list for that trip. Now this was horrible for me because I had been playing 1st horn parts for 2 straight hours and before that, I had come home that day and played jazz music until I had no chops in an attempt to build them up. All in all, it was not a good idea. As he pulled me out of the class, he had me pick a song. I frantically looked through our folders, but it was no use. The song that I could handle at this point was the one we were playing. He told me to just take Water Music Suite, which involves a lot of high/above staff notes. Of course, I sounded terrible in his office, but we'll see what happens. I'm competing against the girl that stands next to me in jazz band who only shows up for concerts or this turning in her form (she has another band she's in as well), the girl that shows up every day but takes a ton of bathroom breaks and texts in class, and Erik. While there is no guarantee that even the first person on Ken's list would make it into this band, I would still really feel better to be first, so hopefully I'll get to go, but it's currently up in the air until whenever the people have made their decision.
Tuesday:
I skipped psych again because I didn't want to go and then in French, we finally learned more about our projects (that we had previously only heard about once). We learned they were due the next week. Now my group had no idea what to do, so we kind of decided to do a powerpoint, but it was a fail idea because all three of us were not there on the same day that whole week so we'll see what happens. I wish we had gotten more notice on this project, especially since it's a 5 minute presentation done in only French (how in the hell do I know 5 minutes of French after 1 quarter? I can do some descriptions, but if it comes down to it, I'll wind up having to count the passing seconds in French I suppose).
After jazz band, we left for Vancouver. Kathryn really wanted to drive part of the way, so I decided since I drive to Vancouver every other time and since we would be pressed for time on the way back, she could drive to grandma's house. I was carsick the first half because she was so bad, but it got less terrible once she learned that the speed limit is not some magic barrier preventing the car from going faster than what is posted. We met my cousin and his wife (the one that got married in Alaska) and grandma at the Olive Garden. I consumed a lot of breadsticks and the waiter kept calling me "junior" for some reason. I have no idea why, I was taller, bigger, and had more facial hair from him. It was really strange.
Wednesday:
We left around noon and had a rather quick drive to Sunriver. I got to go really fast as it was a two lane road with nobody really slowing me down and no cops on the way. My cousin was driving grandma's new Camaro, so he got to go pretty fast as well, which I'm sure he enjoyed. The continuing joke was that we brought way too much food and my uncle and I had a pretty funny text conversation that I will include tomorrow in my quote post. For some reason, grandma picked up pizzas before we left so they had time to get messed up in the car since we didn't keep them refrigerated. When we got there, the oven was broken (turns out the oven breaks whenever someone self cleans it, but the owners continuously neglect to replace the oven). Remembering that I learned once we could barbecue pizzas from Papa Murphy's, I suggested that. It turned out terrible. The first one actually caught fire. We burnt the crust black on 3 pizzas, including the pepperoni one. One of them had the toppings scraped off and made into a kind of soup. With the pepperoni, we scraped off some toppings and put them on toast. It was actually pretty good. My cousin and I were disappointed though because it turned out grandma did not actually buy 2 pepperoni pizzas as she said she did, so we had ruined the only one. After that, we all just went to bed since it was late.
Thursday:
The oven guy came at 7:30am to fix the oven which was really cool. After that, I took a walk with mom and dad and later met up with my uncle and aunt who had gotten lost. I was glad to get some exercise in because I knew the rest of my day would be spent watching football then eating. We watched the first 2 games, but then in the lack of the nfl network, we had to resort to college football instead of the Giants vs. Broncos. The dinner was really good and we only used one of the turkeys that was brought (I don't know who thought 11 people could eat 2 turkeys and a ham (but as I said, the running joke was that we had way too much food)). After dinner, we decided to play Apples to Apples for some reason. My cousin's wife and I did terrible because as we decided "We're too cerebral for these people." After all of that, I went to bed after playing some Episode 1 Podracer on the N64 downstairs against dad. One of the controllers had a bad analog stick (mine) and dad's screen was missing the bottom portion due to a fucked up aspect ratio or something, so we both did pretty poorly and it evened the playing field some which was cool.
Friday:
It was the turkey trot day, a 3 mile run or walk. Considering the St. Patrick's day dash is about 3.5 miles, this one felt really short. I hope that this means I'm getting better at running even though I still took about half an hour on this one. Maybe it was also because due to the big openness of the area, I could see the entire course at all points on the race. After that, those 5 of us that did it (my cousin and his wife, my uncle, my dad, and I) came back and were going to go on a brewery tour later, but my uncle decided to stay. While the girls were out black friday shopping, we left for the tour. It was cool and much more informative about the beer making process than any other brewery tour I have been on (I've been on a lot in case you were wondering).
On our way back, the GPS in the car led us slightly off track and we got to talking about how we really wished we hadn't ruined the only pepperoni pizza we had. My cousin said "Ok that's it, if we see a Papa Murphy's we're stopping." No sooner did he finish that sentence than a Papa Murphy's appeared on the left side of the road. We stopped and went in and three angels made our pizza for us. They were actually pretty cute, but since they lived in Oregon and 8 hours from my house, I didn't get too flirty with them, but we all did stick around for a few extra minutes talking about nothing since it was obviously a slow day for them (everyone else must have been having leftovers, but not us because WE HAD PEPPERONI PIZZA SUCKAS!!!1). On the way back to the house, we debated whether to come in triumphantly carrying the pizza which would anger the people complaining that we were not eating all the food or whether to hide it. We decided since my grandma felt bad about forgetting the 2nd pepperoni pizza, we would sneak it in and put it at the bottom of the fridge. Soon enough, the girls came back from shopping and had bought us darts (there was a dartboard in the garage) so we started playing.
We played Cricket which is a cool darts game that we spent a lot of time doing. I learned I'm actually not bad at darts, which surprised me because I always thought it looked so hard. After about an hour of playing, my cousin came down and she told us they found a second pepperoni pizza. We all looked at each other pretending to be surprised, secretly happy the plan had worked. It was great pizza since we had gotten the oven fixed.
Saturday:
We decided it was time to get some sledding in, so we headed up to Mount Bachelor where we sledded last year. This year, there had been a lot of snow, so they weren't allowing sledding there and the kicked us off to some state park that's specialized for sledding. Dad got mad because he figured it would be some bunny hill, but he was wrong. It was actually a very crowded hill on the shady side of a mountain which meant it was still coated with ice, so the sledding was fast and dangerous. There was a good run on the side where you could get some good air. I sustained some good injuries from my wipeouts there which resulted in the crowd watching going "Ooh!" Falling off that sled and rolling on the snow/ice was like rolling along on pavement. It hurt. I cut up both my knees, scraped my right forearm bad and then did it on the next run, making it actually hurt. I also bruised my ass, left chest, neck and burned off some skin on my side. All in all, a fun day! After getting hurt like I did, for some reason I had the urge to go play some football. The more I thought about it, that actually seems like it would be really cool so who knows, maybe I'll make up for not joining the football team at shorewood my senior year (which I still kind of regret) and I'll go out for the football team at the UW if I get more in shape.
We left the sledding hill and I put some rubbing alcohol on my cuts, then drove home while letting the alcohol sink in for no reason other than to be manly I guess. I put on some neosporin when we got back though because that stuff is amazing. That night, we had Thanksgiving 2: Room for Dessert (our action thriller coming to a theater near you). It consisted of the other turkey and my uncle's special roast that Kathryn and I prepared. Basically, you take a roast, coat it in black pepper and garlic salt and then slow cook it on the barbecue. I know Orion doesn't like beef, but someday maybe I'll get the chance to cook it for you guys, it's pretty good. After dinner, more darts ensued.
Sunday:
We spent all but half an hour of the time between 10:00am and 6:00pm in the car, a very busy driving day. After I got home, I was freaking out about the project due the next day in French, but then I learned class was cancelled and I had an extra day. Now I have had time to email the guys in the group and figure out what we're doing (which I guess they had some time to figure out in my absence on Wednesday).
Today:
In jazz band, I got to try the section leader's black trumpet. It was pretty cool and tricky to play, but it was a really nice horn. I can't wait until winter break when I go trumpet hunting.
Ok well I'll make a quote post tomorrow. This post was really long and it's now taken me about 2 hours to write because I was doing some other things as well such as emailing my group back and forth about what was going on. Until later, peace out.

Monday, November 23, 2009
Whoa it's-a Monday, time-a for an up-a-date!
I think I'll give credit for that title to Mario. I was playing it a little this weekend for some reason. This last week was good because I finally figured out that I don't need to show up to psych every day and also since I got some good gaming (by myself unforunately) in. I leave tomorrow for Sunriver again, so that is unfortunate because I will once again not get to hang out with Davis during break, but then again, he returns in a couple of weeks anyway so it will work out. Someday also maybe Davis and Steven will be up for vanquishing again. I tried some discordway and it worked fairly well except for groups with multiple healers, but whatever. I'll just get going on the week now.
Monday:
I got the form from Ken in band and it looks like more than 5 people also took it (he can suggest a limit of 5). I don't want to get too cocky, but I think my chances of being in the top 5 are good [knock on wood there] and I really hope that either just I wind up going or just me and the girl and then epic threesome happens because as Orion put it, "you would be perma winner of everything." Enough about that though. The combination of my new mouthpiece (specialized for lower parts and stuff like that) and the high horn parts I'm playing (the guys in the section decided they wanted me to do all first parts this year) that band for the 2 hours straight we practice really kills my chops, but it's a good workout I suppose.
Tuesday:
I skipped psych because it was a lecture day. In French, we had a group workday and our group is doing a project on food, so we brought a lot of food. I tried a baby pickle and it was really sour and terrible (especially since I ate it in one bite) and even Foie Gras! I can see why people get it confused with cat food. There was other weird stuff there that we had all brought, but I won't go into detail with it because it is not very exciting. The cheese was good, but me and the pretty Dutch girl that sits in front of me agreed that Dutch cheese was far superior. After school, I did a lot of homework after first getting a much needed haircut. If it gets that long again, I might need to start tying it back.
Wednesday:
I skipped psych again because I knew there was again no real point to showing up. In French, we did not have a workday again, so no great feast, but when I got home, I didn't have much homework so I got some good skill hunting in. I actually heard from Steven for the first time that week during the hunting.
Thursday:
There was a psych test which I think I did adequately on. After that, there was no French (of course it had to be the day I had to show up for psych...). Fortunately, the room was left open so I was able to sit in it while I did my homework. More skill capping after school ensued.
Friday:
I had to show up to psych again to turn in my optional homework because I want to water down my test grades as much as I can, just in case. In French, we didn't get a lot done because we spent the whole class correcting homework. In Jazz Band, our lead saxophone player showed up to watch us play which was cool because I hadn't seen him since last year. After class, the lead trumpet player and I talked about my trumpet situation. I'm currently looking for a less basic beginner model. Also, recently I noticed that I've been buzzing when I use first valve and sustain a note. Since it started happening shortly after my new horn mouthpiece came, I figured I screwed up my embouchure somehow, but the guy thinks that perhaps my trumpet has a hole in it because he knew a guy with a similar problem. Well I kind of hope it's the hole actually because that will get me off my ass and looking at trumpets more. He's bringing in 2 this week for me to try out, so that's really nice of him. I tried one today and it was an Old Olds (Too Old). I thought it was okay, but I wonder what he's going to have me try tomorrow. Hopefully it helps me get an idea of what I want so I can shop around during winter break. After school, I came home and did homework, then got down to 5 elite skills.
Saturday:
Having 5 skills left to cap, I did that and then enjoyed my 2 new titles (elonian skill hunter and legendary skill hunter). I'm at 14 titles now. After that, I played some Fable until I beat that, then I was going to replay Assassin's Creed, but I remembered my cousin still has it, so I decided to play The Force Unleashed instead. So recently, we've been cleaning out the downstairs, leaving us a mess on the ground. We moved that big brown bookshelf in the back of the basement tv room into my computer room, so there was a mess all over the floor, which was nice because it prevented Kathryn and her friend from comandeering the downstairs at 10:00 and kicking me off the computer which is very inconvenient. Also, while we were cleaning, I decided that I have a lot of old xbox games that I have played through so many times I will most likely not do so again. I finally started using Goozex. I've already sent 2 games out (well I'm putting them in the mail today, the post office was closed until today). I think it will turn out to be pretty good for me and it will definitely save me money on newer games. I think I might get M:UA2 by this method.
Sunday:
I did some micro homework, then went to my aunt's house to move stuff to my grandpa's storage at his place. We then took him to dinner, then I brought him back and Kathryn and Dad headed home.
Today:
I skipped psych to do micro homework because I won't get time to do it tomorrow. In Jazz Band, I got to try the trumpet the guy brought in and it was okay. Doug set us up backwards for some reason and I played badly because I was so confused by that the whole time. Now I've got more homework to do, then band later tonight, then school then I leave tomorrow. I hope everyone that got to go to the Spike and The Impalers/ZZ Top concert tonight enjoys it, I wish I could go. I also will miss getting to actually watch the Texans play tonight, but that's the cost of possibly getting to go visit Rachel I suppose. I hope the Texans game is really boring and uneventful, but only because I don't want Orion and Eric to get a lot of fantasy points off the game because I really need to start pulling out some wins since I'm so far behind.
I probably won't have internet this weekend, but if I do, I'll maybe get online and talk. I won't be able to play any videogames. Ok well peace out until next week.

On Fantasy Football:
Me:damn at least the seahawks are winning
but still i would rather be getting fantasy points here
O: i like how eric didnt even try and get another defense for this week
Me: yeah haha
im glad for that
it might close the field a bit
if i can make up the 50 point gap i currently have going
i dont think he was busy even
i mean his classes are monday and wednesday only
and he had wednesday off so....
O: yeah haha
oh well im fine with that
Me: same
of course i think chris johnson sure made up for the lack of his defense
35 points damn!
O: seriously
Me: i was wondering how tony romo has 91 yards but less than 1 point
3 sacks
aw nuts arizona touchdown
but not larry
now its 14-7
we gotta score more so that there's buffering room for larry to get some touchdowns
O: haha
the beauty of fantasy football
making you wish for specific and strange outcomes so that you can get hella points but still have your favorite team win
Me: haha
Me: YES
larry fitzgerald catches a throw
then a teammate commits a personal foul
so he made a good catch and still a loss of yards!
hooray for the absurd things i hope for!
Why tuba players are cool:
Euphonium Player (dickishly): Well are WE the only one's here with pianissimo?
Tuba Player: Yes.....Yes you are.
Me: a girl in my french class was wearing a shirt today that had four big hearts on it and one was only half full
and under it, it said "Hyrule four play"
Davis: OMFG
GET HER NUMBER
GIVE IT TO MEEEEEEE
Me: you don't want me to do that, trust me
but i thought you would appreciate the shirt
Davis: is she crazy?
Me: i dont think so she's um
she's not very hot
but i told her her shirt was cool
because i knew you would have said something
Davis: well I can work with sane
and not hot
Me: haha
Davis: i can work with that
crazxy
there's no fucking chance in hell
Me: i have to be careful too
you have a much lower threshold for crazy
but it leads to funny stories
like the crazy religious girl
Davis: yeah
I talked to her again today
she is so hot
Me: she isn't your new cleric is she?
Davis: no
that would be awesome though
Pretty sure she wouldn't choose evil
actually I think she might play
i was talking about starting an honors group with some of the guys
it would be sweet
Me: idk
she wouldn't dig the whole false idols thing
i can see the conversation now
"which deity do you support here"
"uh, can i just go with god?"
"no"
"but-"
"no"
Davis: actually I would definitely let her go with God
if it was the difference bewteen playing and no playing
yes I don't give a shit
God is fine with me
Me: : O
Davis: all the "spells" can be like, "Extra Bread IV and shit like that
Me: hahaha
Davis: "King of the Jews"
you assume the aspect of Jesus for 2d4 rounds
Me: "everlasting oil" lamps last 50% longer or until more oil arrives
meh i liked yours better
what's jesus' hp?
Davis: umm
he has 999 hit dice
and they're d20s
999 AC
Me: haha
Davis:as a melee touch attack, he can convert any evil or neutral creature to Christinaity
Me: haha
so jesus is basically a really roxorz paladin?
Davis: yeah
Me: he must also have high alchemy skill too
he can turn water into wine and stuff
and when the effect ends and jesus leaves, he splits up into nice little wafers and wine that feeds your party for several thousand years once every week
Davis: yeah
lolol
also he can cast True Ressurection at first level
except that he starts play at 40th level
he saves at a +1000 bonus
Me: haha
Davis: yeah good stuff
I need to do homework now
we can finish this later
Me: i'll have to add this to my quotes post tomorrow too
Davis: we'll have to make a sheet for him
Me: indeed
lastredcoat: so i herd u like mudkipz
Me: huh?
lastredcoat: : 0
Me: oh
well
i mean totally
i would totally have sex with one
lastredcoat: ahahahaha
wait here...
ill brb
Me: haha
lastredcoat: http://media.ebaumsworld.com/picture/emericaskates/mudkip-1.png
Me: i am taking my pants off and having sex with this mudkipz
lastredcoat: there is more mudkip porn on the internet than you can possible imagine
i will resist sending you more
but that isnt the hottest
Me: DO IT
MOAR I SA
lastredcoat: so i herd u like mudkipzzzz http://i404.photobucket.com/albums/pp128/sedlor/mudkips.jpg
Me: hey
lastredcoat: http://rim.criminalflowers.com/nate/mudkip/37014%20-%20cosplay%20Mudkip%20Pokemon.jpg
Me: she didn't paint her ears
that girl is strange
lastredcoat: lol
dont call davis's future girlfriend strange!
Me: haha
that would be funny if davis goes out with her
cuz we could brag about how we've already seen her naked
lastredcoat: but he could brag that his penis ahs been inside her : (
and that he makes her dress up like pokemon for it
Me: haha
you know i think that would have a limit to how many times it would still be cool for
after like 3 years it would be "guys she won't stop dressing as mudkip when we have sex" "i'm beginning to think ill never see her really naked"
lastredcoat: although he can still see the ears
Me: psh
you can see someone's ears when they're fully clothed
lastredcoat: you dont read enough
ears are the most like vagina of any part of a female body that isnt the vagina
Me: hm
picturing a diagram of an ear in my head, i guess that makes sense
lastredcoat: layers and layers of skin
Me: its like it in terms of structure right, not size obviously?
ITS LIKE VAGUNIOR?
copyright^^
ear infections are now called vagunior infections
lastredcoat: ewww
Me:damn at least the seahawks are winning
but still i would rather be getting fantasy points here

Why tuba players are cool:
Euphonium Player (dickishly): Well are WE the only one's here with pianissimo?
Tuba Player: Yes.....Yes you are.
Me: a girl in my french class was wearing a shirt today that had four big hearts on it and one was only half full
and under it, it said "Hyrule four play"
Davis: OMFG
GET HER NUMBER
GIVE IT TO MEEEEEEE
Me: you don't want me to do that, trust me
but i thought you would appreciate the shirt
Davis: is she crazy?
Me: i dont think so she's um
she's not very hot
but i told her her shirt was cool
because i knew you would have said something
Davis: well I can work with sane
and not hot
Me: haha
Davis: i can work with that
crazxy
there's no fucking chance in hell
Me: i have to be careful too
you have a much lower threshold for crazy
but it leads to funny stories
like the crazy religious girl
Davis: yeah
I talked to her again today
she is so hot
Me: she isn't your new cleric is she?
Davis: no
that would be awesome though
Pretty sure she wouldn't choose evil
actually I think she might play
i was talking about starting an honors group with some of the guys
it would be sweet
Me: idk
she wouldn't dig the whole false idols thing
i can see the conversation now
"which deity do you support here"
"uh, can i just go with god?"
"no"
"but-"
"no"
Davis: actually I would definitely let her go with God
if it was the difference bewteen playing and no playing
yes I don't give a shit
God is fine with me
Me: : O
Davis: all the "spells" can be like, "Extra Bread IV and shit like that
Me: hahaha
Davis: "King of the Jews"
you assume the aspect of Jesus for 2d4 rounds
Me: "everlasting oil" lamps last 50% longer or until more oil arrives
meh i liked yours better
what's jesus' hp?
Davis: umm
he has 999 hit dice
and they're d20s
999 AC
Me: haha
Davis:as a melee touch attack, he can convert any evil or neutral creature to Christinaity
Me: haha
so jesus is basically a really roxorz paladin?
Davis: yeah
Me: he must also have high alchemy skill too
he can turn water into wine and stuff
and when the effect ends and jesus leaves, he splits up into nice little wafers and wine that feeds your party for several thousand years once every week
Davis: yeah
lolol
also he can cast True Ressurection at first level
except that he starts play at 40th level
he saves at a +1000 bonus
Me: haha
Davis: yeah good stuff
I need to do homework now
we can finish this later
Me: i'll have to add this to my quotes post tomorrow too
Davis: we'll have to make a sheet for him
Me: indeed
lastredcoat: so i herd u like mudkipz
Me: huh?
lastredcoat: : 0
Me: oh
well
i mean totally
i would totally have sex with one
lastredcoat: ahahahaha
wait here...
ill brb
Me: haha
lastredcoat: http://media.ebaumsworld.com/picture/emericaskates/mudkip-1.png
Me: i am taking my pants off and having sex with this mudkipz
lastredcoat: there is more mudkip porn on the internet than you can possible imagine
i will resist sending you more
but that isnt the hottest
Me: DO IT
MOAR I SA
lastredcoat: so i herd u like mudkipzzzz http://i404.photobucket.com/albums/pp128/sedlor/mudkips.jpg
Me: hey
lastredcoat: http://rim.criminalflowers.com/nate/mudkip/37014%20-%20cosplay%20Mudkip%20Pokemon.jpg
Me: she didn't paint her ears
that girl is strange
lastredcoat: lol
dont call davis's future girlfriend strange!
Me: haha
that would be funny if davis goes out with her
cuz we could brag about how we've already seen her naked
lastredcoat: but he could brag that his penis ahs been inside her : (
and that he makes her dress up like pokemon for it
Me: haha
you know i think that would have a limit to how many times it would still be cool for
after like 3 years it would be "guys she won't stop dressing as mudkip when we have sex" "i'm beginning to think ill never see her really naked"
lastredcoat: although he can still see the ears
Me: psh
you can see someone's ears when they're fully clothed
lastredcoat: you dont read enough
ears are the most like vagina of any part of a female body that isnt the vagina
Me: hm
picturing a diagram of an ear in my head, i guess that makes sense
lastredcoat: layers and layers of skin
Me: its like it in terms of structure right, not size obviously?
ITS LIKE VAGUNIOR?
copyright^^
ear infections are now called vagunior infections

I have made a mistake
Which I will get to later! First I must go through the week. Last week was pretty good, but the weekend went by really fast which is too bad. Hopefully this coming weekend shall be a bit slower. I did enjoy the pwnage football day yesterday though specifically the Colts last minute stomping of the Patriots (I just like seeing Belichick and Brady fail). In other news (a shoutout to Orion here), this weekend, my grandpa's place was having an outing to go up to Chuckanut Drive which we drove by on our way to and from the Bioshock event this past August. Ok now that the shoutout has been completed, I shall commence talking about the week.
Monday:
In band, Ken told us that this honor band thing was definitely on (school pays for travel, accommodations, and food!). How it works is it's a community college type thing for community colleges in Washington, Oregon, California, Idaho, Nevada, and Utah (possibly Arizona too). Anyway, the turnout must be really low for this because each conductor gets 5 selections. There are set spots for each instrument in the band (they will take X number of trumpets, X number of flutes, etc.) Anyway, I'm pretty sure that when I sign up, I will be first on Ken's list because he told me he really thought I should do it. So provided that works out (I sign up tonight), I will get to go see Rachel. Now the problem is other people in the band (ones that might want to hang out/tag along with me while there) showed interest in this as well so I can only hope that their instruments are not needed or that Ken does not come up with some picking strategy to ensure they also attend while still making sure I do. I also made the foolish mistake of blurting it out in conversation with the girl that stands next to me today. I was just making light conversation and I inadvertently piqued her curiosity and now she wants to do that. She's cool and all, but this trip was about going to see Rachel, so to be slightly mean here, I hope she doesn't make it (otherwise it will be awkward for me to hang out with both her and Rachel at the same time (hmm, actually this has really awesome potential now that I think about it)). Anyway, more on that to come next week.
Tuesday:
I was super psyched (coincidently, I skipped psych) for the midweekend. I only showed up to my second two classes and they were rather uneventful. In Jazz Band, we did some strange sectionals and our section + Darren (he had nobody else in his section that day and he had similar parts to us) got to go to the dungeon (a cool room downstairs that is not well soundproofed and thus makes the teachers down there angry (but it's not our fault, it's the music building, stop teaching a speech class there!)). After that, I came home and finished the Terran Theme. There's still a part I want to tweak though when I get the time. Also, I need to find a program that records audio and video. I have one now but I don't know if it works right because I don't know how to use it.
Wednesday:
I got up at 9 to go to a Boy Scout thing at 10. I promised Red I would because I was intrigued at the thought of a Boy Scout event starting after 7 or 8 am. It was a dedication of a memorial at the UW, so I got to march in a parade. I was even on the 10:00 news that night walking by the camera. It was pretty lame and it took so long that dad and I just bailed early. After that, I spent the rest of the afternoon just doing homework.
Thursday:
I made the mistake of coming to psych and being there alone. It was a really boring day after that. In Jazz Band, since the girl that stands next to me was gone (someday I'll actually start referring to her by her real name), the four of us guys pwned up some songs. Doug liked how we were sounding and in typical trumpet section fashion, we attributed it to her absence. That's the reason I like to show up every day, haha.
Friday:
I met my grandpa at Costco for lunch, then I took him back to my aunt's house so that he could sit and see the cats (all your base are belong to us!) while I moved some boxes in from the pod containing mostly books. After that was done, I took grandpa back to his place then went over to the mall to meet Sai. We got Arceus together so that we wouldn't be really awkward/pedophiley looking. Unforunately some bearded guy was working the gaming section, not that mythical 919 with the glasses. I'm starting to wonder if she's just a figment of my imagination, though I don't have reason to believe she doesn't exist because that was the first time I had been to Toys R Us since I had seen her. After that, Sai decided to come back here so we could take my Micro exam together since I already knew all the answers and for some reason we thought it would be entertaining. After that, we played some Contra, then he had to head back home.
Saturday:
Kathryn and I took the train to my grandma's house down in Vancouver. She had bought a new Camaro and no longer needed her old Monte Carlo, so she was giving it to us since the Breeze is slowly dying and mom will need a car. Anyway, the train ride was uneventful. She let me drive the Camaro and it was pretty awesome. Not Mustang awesome, but general muscle/sports car awesome. We went to see the men who stare at goats. It was pretty good, but I can see why it got panned.
Sunday:
We drove back from there and I made pretty good time since I was in a relatively fast car and since it was rainy and the middle of the month meaning there were very few cops out on patrol. After we got back, I had football on while I did homework and I enjoyed watching Bill Belicheat and Shady Brady fail.
Monday:
I came to psych alone again which was unfortunate, but less so than Thursday because I had to turn in something anyway. After that, it was a group project workday in French. Well we thought it was at least, she changed her mind so all the food we brought had to just sit there for the class. Then in Jazz Band I accidentally spilled the beans about the honor band thing. If she winds up going, I am really going to hope for an epic threesome. If not, oh well, I don't feel bad about ditching Eric and Darren for Rachel. Quote post tomorrow and then until next week, peace out.

This week was busier so hopefully the post will be more interesting
Well this week was certainly more eventful than the past couple of weeks have been. Perhaps I shall actually have a post this time that deserves some comments. I'll also be making a quote post tomorrow, so check that out too I guess.
Monday:
We had band and it was our last regular rehearsal before the concert, so we were wrapping things up. I finally got to try out my new mouthpiece and it was really good for most of the songs, but there were some screechy high parts that it didn't help on so I used my older one for those during the practice and during the concert as well.
Tuesday:
After school got out, Steven, Chris, and I decided to go look for Sai. Eventually, he and Danny McCoy snuck up and ninjaed us. It was cool to see Danny again and it was cool that we didn't have to awkwardly exclude him because he left on his own. After that, Sai and I picked up some cake supplies and went home to make the cake. See the post below for quotes and things about it. During the cake baking process, we played some Halo and some Left for Dead 2 demo. I liked it, but I still think that there's no way I'll buy the game for the price they want because I would only play the campaign anyway. Around 6, Ahmad, Ben, and Ashley came by and Stashley formed and left. Then Sai helped Ahmad and Ben on programming homework for an hour or so then they left after Sai got an email from his brother saying he should probably call home (he must have been in trouble for staying out so late without warning).
Wednesday:
We had the second day of our movie in French. It was actually a really good movie. The teacher even decided to postpone our test back yet another day from now Thursday and Friday to Friday and Monday. After school, I did some quick studying, then I had to go to frisbee. Fortunately since I was busy, only 2 people showed up so we had a quick throwing practice then just called it a day since 2 people don't really make for a good practice. I studied a bit more, then had to go off to SCC at 5:00 because I promised to help the drums load and move their equipment.
I met Kezia and Dan and a couple of other people there. Ken took us all out for Taco Bell since we were all feeling like it and he even paid for it which was really nice of him. After we got back, we loaded the truck. Dan decided to carpool there with me since I had to come back by SCC anyway. On our way out, one of the other drummers was backing out of his space and accidentally came way too far. He wound up being the first victim of the army hitch. On one hand, he didn't deserve it because he's cool and he's a pretty nice guy, but on the other hand, damn the army hitch really pwned his bumper. The dent was a lot bigger than I thought it would have been. Anyway, that was rather funny and Dan and I laughed about it all the way to the concert hall. The dress rehearsal went well and then I came home to study a bit more before going to bed.
Thursday:
We had our psych test. Each psych test, I always study one thing more than I should and it never comes up. This time, it actually did. I was quite happy. I wound up doing the exact same as I did on my first test though, so whomp whomp. I got my first assignment back and I thought I got 2 points for turning it in early, but it was only 1 so I'm debating whether to do that with the next one. It's due next Monday, so I might want to get started on it here soon if I plan to. In French, we finished up the movie, but I had to leave early to set up for the jazz band concert in the pub. We sounded as good as you can for performing in what is essentially just a giant cube. It sounded like hell, but we kind of made it work. That night, we had the concert. It went pretty well because I was able to hang out with the girl trumpeter that I stand next to in jazz band for a while and then Dan right before we went to set up. The concert went well and I got home to study for some French. Then I realized that I had forgotten to do the homework for the next day, so I stayed up later than I usually like to to finish it. Also during that time Darren messaged me on facebook to ask if the girl I stand next to in jazz band was single. I presume he wants to ask her out which sucks because I was thinking about doing it (though admittedly I was far off of it because I don't want her to say no then we still have to stand next to each other every day). Anyway they haven't been in the same room since that point, but I'm curious to see him try because I think he'll get rejected, but I want to see someone else's style of picking up chicks. Who knows, it could be a good learning experience.
Friday:
I got up a bit early to meet with my Econ professor about switching to an AA degree for Economics instead of what I'm currently going for which is business. I wound up waiting about half an hour, but I got to see my math professor from last year, which was cool. She told me some stories about her playing french horn beause she didn't know I had played it and she saw me holding it. Eventually, I got invited in and there were some students in there asking n00b questions and since the professor said I was one of his best students, I figured I was qualified to help one of the students there that was having problems. It was nice to get to show off that I'm learning in front of the teacher and I was able to put what the lady was asking in plain terms.
After they left, we checked out the track I'm on and it looks good. I now don't have to take accounting which is a HUGE BONUS. We both agreed how we hated how tedious accounting was. I think I'll enjoy being an accounting major provided I can get into the UW. It's looking good now though, so hopefully it works out. The meeting made me miss psych, but I snuck in at the end to figure out how I did on the test. I then went to French and IT WAS CANCELLED. I stayed up late for nothing. I didn't have it so bad though. The guy that sits next to me said he missed his bus and then caught a later one and sprinted from the stop to get to the class just in time for our scheduled test time and then he saw the sign and just collapsed on the door in frustration. I spent the next hour just doing not much until jazz band started. We got a cool new song and there was an old almuni trumpet player there. I guess he left SCC to go to North Texas University and got in the 1st jazz band (REALLY big deal). He stuck around to play with us and helped us get better on a couple of our songs which was really awesome. The girl was gone so she missed out on it, but meh, her loss.
After school, I was happy to be done with work for the week. I finished up all of my weekend homework, then played some left for dead 2 demo with Steven, Davis, and Sai. After that, I watched some of V (the series premiere first, then the movie from the '80s after that) and then went to bed.
Saturday:
I started playing Fable. It's really fun. After that, we met grandpa at Costco for lunch, then we took him back here to watch the last half of the husky game, then we took him home. That night, I watched more V.
Sunday:
Not having much homework left, I played some Fable then did it quickly. I then spent the rest of the afternoon working on the Terran Theme after football ended for the Seahawks. I spent a lot of time on the terran theme and it's coming along nicely.
Today:
We had our tests today in French. While asking the teacher to repeat a question, I accidentally said por favor instead of si'l-vous plait. In my defense though, I said por favor with a flawless french accent. Luckily we weren't being graded on asking to repeat a question, so no problem with that. Jazz band went well and then I came home and Steven and I watched Stargate. Now I don't have much homework so I'm going to go ahead and get back to the terran theme.
Until tomorrow, then until next week, peace out.

Ahmad's Pyramid Cake
*Upon showing him the cake*
Ahmad: It’s funny because I’m from Egypt and they have pyramids there.
Me: Should we ceranwrap the cake or should we leave it open?
Sai: We can probably just leave it open.
Me: Ok, I just wasn’t sure about it’s structural integrity
Ahmad: Oh, I’M sure about it’s structural integrity.
Ahmad: I’m sure my mom will enjoy this with every bite, taking her back to her days of playing in sand and climbing pyramids.
Ahmad: Well thank you for reuniting me with my heritage.

I'm calling it now, Texans and Saints in the Superbowl
If I'm right, I'll look really smart now come January. Anyway, how's about I get going on last week. It was Halloween week for Guild Wars, so not much happened outside of doing things for that. I'll just hop right into the post now since I don't have anything interesting to say for the intro.
Monday:
I'm overlapping a bit since my post was done late, but Steven and I did some discordway and found it is a very effective way of vanquishing. Of course, when we vanquish with Davis, we'll most likely do the more challenging method that we regularly use. Discordway is awesome though because it is designed to pretty much rape everything really quickly so our only problem is figuring out where we've been in an area.
Tuesday:
I tried to do as much homework as I could, then Steven and I ran some more discordway. We got a couple more areas done rather quickly. After a while, Ashley came to his house and then our vanquishing stopped soon thereafter. It was no matter to me though as I spent the rest of the afternoon farming ToT bags and watching TV.
Wednesday:
We had a sectional day in Jazz Band and the trumpets got a special sectional with Doug. I was able to get the high notes in my part though luckily because I didn't want to have to give the part up because it would be inconvenient for whoever got it. After school, I did more ToT farming and some homework.
Thursday:
I woke up and had a really strong feeling that I would regret showing up to Psychology. I decided it was probably just because I was figuring out all we do is take notes. Steven and I arrived at the class only to discover it had been cancelled for the day. D'oh. Steven went to the library to print something, then we both went back to his house so he could show me a successful chaos plains run. After that, I headed back to SCC for Jazz Band.
Friday:
My French professor emailed the class the night before telling us that class was cancelled. I planned on skipping psych then so I wouldn't have an hour break, but Steven reminded me an optional assignment was due, so I showed up. After that, he and Ben(Tim), and I went to the library and Tim went somewhere and Steven and I did some studying for some classes. After that, we had our recording day in Jazz Band with a pretty weak turnout, so we just wound up rehearsing mostly. After Jazz Band, I came home and packed and we left to pick up Kathryn at school and then we picked up dad, then we headed down to Vancouver for the concert that the three of them plus one of Kathryn's friends were going to. We met my grandma at our favorite restaurant there, then they went to the concert. Grandma and I went back to her house and watched Watchmen and then I watched Stargate after that.
Saturday:
We had to get an early start to get home on time since Kathryn's friend had to set up for the carnival at Syre. We got home in fairly good time, but not a record for me though I was going fast the whole way. I spent the rest of the day doing some farming of ToT bags.
Sunday:
We met grandpa for lunch and the end of the Seahawks game. After that, we went over to my aunt's house to move some furniture around as well as take some garbage out. My uncle took a lot of stuff for my cousins which was good because we are really needing to clear out space. After that, I came back and did some French homework.
Today:
I remembered we had a psych test, but it got moved back a day, which was nice. Then, our French professor decided to move our test back to Friday instead of tomorrow, so I'm a pretty happy camper right now. I have band 3 times this week, which will kind of suck, but it won't rob me of too much time, so it should be fine. Sai's coming tomorrow, so that's also going to be cool. Now I'm going to try to finish as much of my homework as I can before band so I have more time to study/do nothing during the week.

Me: "Rachel Sydow became a fan of YoVille and Falling asleep while cuddling."
WHAT?
O_O
O: well she's probably meaning falling asleep with you and cuddling with you
Me: haha
i must admire your optimism
if she was really a fan of that, she should make a fan page for "having sex with david"
in fact, i should totally make a page for that
O: i might become a fan
me: haha
i bet it would have more fans than my "grammar police" group has members
O: probably
Me: haha

O: lol
beaten to the punch
Me: well not entirely
its a specific group
but some of the stuff in it was funny
see now the danger in making my own having sex with me fan page is that i might never get sex
girls would be like eww he's gross
and since they aren't fans of it, i then have no chance
because everyone knows the only things you have/do/will ever like are the things you fan on facebook
since you can literally be a fan of ANYTHING
"not getting toothpaste on your foot"
O: "not spilling hot sauce on your penis while it's erect and about to enter a woman's anus"
Me: haha
i can't beat that one
O: win!
Me: i need to blog this convo
O: yay, +1 mentions on David's blog => +.00000001 internet fames
Me: hahathat's a very small number that you didn't have before!
^number more than you had before
and who knows
maybe that's the difference between having people being fans of having sex with you and not
O: well only one way to find out
Me: "Wow, Orion? I totally heard about that guy on David's blog! OMG Tara, let's have sex with him!!! I hope he likes my size 46DD breasts! OMG, they're so wet, here let me help you get that shirt off. kissing ensues No, let's save it for Orion! Tee hee, okay!"
ok wow after reading that, i got way too into character
but that's essentially how it would go down
pun intended ; )
O: hahahahhahahahahahhahahahhahaha
Me: im glad you enjoyed that
O: that was hilarious

I almost forgot to post today, but luckily I remembered in band.
Because you totally would have noticed my forgetting to post today and posting tomorrow instead. I think this post will be kept fairly brief because I'm hoping to get back to ToT bag farming in Guild Wars since I'm making good money off of that now.
Monday:
Band was as usual, rather uneventful. Ken wasn't there, so I didn't hear anything of honor band. I didn't tonight either.
Tuesday:
I spent most of the day doing some Guild Wars trying to learn the new Chaos Plains solo farmer or trying out the Assassin build for raptor farming.
Wednesday:
Pretty much the same as Tuesday. We had a test in psych, which I did averagely on. After school, Steven and I had our first SWUF practice. There were four girls there!!!!! (zomgs, we already met our minimum for girls!!) and no guys, but one of the girls was our leading female scorer from Bottomless Stack Fries. Steven and I spent the practice teaching how to throw, doing drills, and generally realizing how out of shape we are.
Thursday:
Test corrections day, it was boring and most of the class was spent debating the answer to one really tricky question.
Friday:
I gave Kathryn all the orange I had so she could wear it for the homecoming assembly. I guess Shorewood lost the game 52-0 (Kathryn called at 9:00 to say the game was over (for those of you that remember, band used to get let out early at 9:30)). I spent most of the day Trick or Treat bag farming. I would have been watching Seinfeld, but I was still waiting on the episodes to arrive, so I decided to watch Star Wars Episode 4. After that ended, Davis got on as I was about to sign off, so I took some haze mints and the three of us (Steven included) vanquished a bit. I must have been really quiet because I was really tired. All I remember about vanquishing was there was a boss with a really huge patrol path. After that, there is evidence to suggest I went upstairs, took a shower, and fell asleep in my own bed, but I have absolutely no recollection of doing that, so I guess props to tired me.
Saturday:
I was getting some Seinfeld episodes, but they were taking a while, so I left my computer on while I went to the Husky game and watched them get pwnt. When I got back, I did more farming. I decided to watch Episode 5 and then Episode 6 as well. It was pretty awesome, but once again, I found myself very tired after I was done with them at around 1am.
Sunday:
I spent some time farming, but I also went to my aunt's house to get another load of garbage. The truck has been taking out garbage from my grandpa's house averaging about 1/4 ton per truckload. So far, we're at 3/4 of a ton of garbage, all that he brought home by hand over years and years and years.
Today:
It was a pretty plain day. It was raining really hard, but other than that, nothing stands out. Band was uneventful and now the Seinfeld episodes are here, so I'm off to Rata Sum to farm some ToT bags. Peace out until next week.

I guess it didn't matter that there was a delay. Oh well, here's a new post. Will you comment on it? Well I hope so, but that's up to you.
Well howdy there. I don't know if anyone reads this blog currently as there are no comments *hint hint.* I assume you do though, so I will keep posting (ok to be honest, I would post regardless). Well now I have finished yet another week of classes. They went well and I guess since I'm already posting a vague emotional description of last week, that must mean I have nothing good for my intro paragraph, so I'll jump right into the week.
Monday:
I came into band and Ken greeted me and asked me how the scout thing was the week before. It's odd because he seems to really have taken a shine to me this year. He also said I should apply for this intercollegit honor band that meets in Reno this year. When it was first announced, I thought about doing it (since Rachel is in Reno), but then it sounded like a thing for music majors. Anyway, with Ken saying I should go for this, I think I will definitely audition and hey if I wind up going, perhaps I can hang out with Rachel while I'm there, which would be pretty cool.
Tuesday:
I tried to get a lot of homework done so that I could play some Guild Wars. I did get in some Guild Wars, but much later in the day because I was on a roll with my micro homework.
Wednesday:
We found out in psychology we could turn in our papers early for 2 points extra credit. I decided to do that and spent 4 hours analyzing an article about old people. I thought the article would be funny and entertaining because the cover picture was funny, but the article was actually really depressing. After that, it was late, so I did some micro homework.
Thursday:
I spent the first part of the afternoon playing some Guild Wars with Steven, then we got a bit bored and signed off to do homework.
Friday:
During psychology, we learned about sleep cycles and stuff like that. The majority of the class was spent listening to people describing strange dreams or sleep quirks they have, wondering what part of sleep it occurred in, the professor telling them it was REM sleep, and Steven and I facepalming at the stupidity. After school, I played a lot of AB with Steven until we realized it was 2 minutes to Stargate, so we afked through a whole ab without anyone calling us for leeching. We of course lost, but it was because the Kurzicks suck. After Stargate, we vanquished some southern shiverpeaks with Davis, which was pretty fun and pretty difficult at times. Theres a skill in Guild Wars called "Vengeance." It's actually not a bad skill for fights. Davis didn't know about it though and Steven had him convinced that if he fell behind the group, that was why he would spontaneously die. It was extremely hilarious listening to his reactions partly because Steven was getting so into it and partly because it was so late and partly because it was so damn funny. Eventually he figured it out, but not before Steven and I had many good laughs about it.
Saturday:
I went over to my aunt's house to help my dad's secretary's son get some stuff out of the pod for his new house. It was nice to see that we were not only getting rid of furniture we didn't want and that it was being used by someone who needed it. After that, Kathryn's friends came over. Originally, they were going to go to the zoo. Unfortunately it was raining, which actually turned out to be a good thing. While I would have gone to the zoo to see the baby snow leopard, since it was raining, they decided to go to the mall. That gave me the afternoon to myself, so I signed on and Steven and I played some Guild Wars. We accumulated more than the other 5 guilds in our alliance (that' right, we're in an alliance now! (they suck balls (Steven says its a bunch of one person guilds (so why don't they all become one guild??? (damn, that was a long chain of parentheses))))). So Steven and I played with this one guy for about half that time. He was pretty cool and pretty good. Like I said, we got a lot of faction. Soon enough, Kathryn and friends came back and took over downstairs, so I brought up the NES and the 360 to my room and played those for a while before going to bed.
Sunday:
I spent most of the afternoon doing dump runs because my grandpa had a ton of garbage (well actually .5 tons that we took away) at his house that we had to get rid of so the house could be painted. Luckily most of it was metal othewise it would have cost a lot more than it did to get rid of it. After that, I did a lot of French homework and then went to bed.
Today:
Psychology was rather uneventful except the professor announcing that due to the amount of questions on Friday, we were now behind schedule. In French, the three of us (the guy next to me, the cool girl in front of me, and myself) had a quick study session before the test. The test went pretty well and I got out early. At jazz band, the girl trumpet was also there early, so we talked for about 25 mintues before band started. I guess she has another year before she can transfer, so we probably won't have classes together anymore (although I might be doing jazz band next year because its fun), but we decided when we're seniors, we'll take a wine tasting course at the UW for elective credit (I didn't even know there was one, but hey if I need an elective, that sounds pretty excellent). Band was rather uneventful and now I find myself here at my computer making a post. I guess I'll see how this honor band thing pans out tonight. Until next week, peace out.

What's On? Star Trek: The Original Series

Sorry about the spacing, I tried to fix it, but blogger is being a pain in the ass and won't accept my changes.
Well first of all, sorry about the huge gap in posting. Truth be told, I watched 4 episodes over the summer. It was unfortunate because I had only the second half of the final season remaining going into the summer, so I should have finished it up quickly and moved on, but I did not. Though this was a short series, it did take much longer than I hope even longer series' to take.
The Star Trek franchise is one of the most, if not the most well known franchise in all of science fiction. It was originally cancelled after 3 seasons (the third which was due to overwhelming fan support writing letters to NBC to protest the cancellation of the show after the second season). Unfortunately, in its 3rd season, the show never fully recovered and it was cancelled after just 3 seasons. Today though, it has enjoyed a lot of success including inspiring 5 series (many of which experienced great success and ratings) as well as 12 movies (of varying levels of greatness).
While mostly corny, the effects in the original series were ahead of their time and the writers employed had great imaginations to have to create worlds for each episode. Unfortunately, the too often present cheesiness factor can really turn people off from this show. For example, the first half of the first season and scattered throughout the series are some enemies that can basically do anything with just their minds. The idea gets repetitive, but once you get through the first season, it becomes less of an issue. The characters are all interesting and they have cool personality quirks to bring to the table that spark up some funny dialogues at times. The characters are:
Captain James T. Kirk- The captain of the USS Enterprise, a headstrong leader and a great one at that. He values the lives of the people on the Enterprise over his own. He is basically a copy of an honorable captain of a sailing vessel from ye olde england. He always upholds the laws of the Federation and he is the strong kind of leader that everyone looks up to for guidance.
1st Officer/Science Officer Spock- Spock is half human and half vulcan. He really tries to reject his human side though in favor of the cold, logical vulcan half. It does make him useful though. More often than not, he is the calm boon that others look to when the situation gets dire.
Chief Medical Officer Leonard "Bones" McCoy- He's the southern doctor who is frequently arguing with Spock. They have a rather entertaining relationship that gives the show some funny moments in otherwise boring places. He's really thick-headed, but that's what makes him cool. He also has spawned some great quotes, such as "Dammit Jim, I'm a doctor, not a [insert obscure profession here]!" and "He's dead, Jim" which is also an overused thing in the first season.
Chief Engineer Montgomery "Scotty" Scott- One of the two characters that has a pretty cheesy fake accent. Scotty is, in my opinion, one of the coolest characters. He is the second in command, which means when both Kirk and Spock are planetside (which happens more often than you would think), he is in charge of the Enterprise. He acts mainly on his feelings and for some reason, he has a much higher level of success with that than the other characters that do.
Communications Officer/Lieutenant Nyota Uhura- She is the stereotypical woman of the '60's. She is obsessed with her feminine beauty and she actually seems to suffer physically in one episode when she sees an ugly reflection of herself. She and Kirk actually experience an on screen kiss in one episode that was really racy at the time. She rarely leaves the ship, but nonetheless, she has become a popular example of how sexist (in a funny way) the series was.
Helmsman Hikaru Sulu- His character remains rather mysterious, but we do find out that he is kind of a ninja. He doesn't speak very much, but as far as characters go, he is kind of like a backup Spock in that his character is very logical, but can falter at time since he is human after all.
Navigator Pavel Chekov- He's the new guy. He actually doesn't arrive in the show until the second season, so don't be too confused if he isn't there. It is clear this show was made in the Cold War era because he has the cheesiest Russian accent I have ever heard. He still has good chemistry with Sulu though as they are both responsible for basically steering the Enterprise. His character is a bit more explained than Sulu's, which is fine by me because his character is often much more entertaining (hearing about stories from back in the motherland).
Nurse Christine Chapel- She's the kind, motherly nurse that is not in every episode, but makes frequent appearences. She is a kind person that is often too trusting, but she is also very professional.
Yeoman Janice Rand- She is only in the first season and the first couple of episodes of the second season. She resembles Chloe from 24 and she is not a very interesting character to be honest.
Unfortunately, it is often easy to call what will happen in an episode. For example, Kirk, Spock, McCoy, and some random guy in a red shirt will go down to the planet to explore. When something like that happens, it's pretty obvious that the unknown guy will be killed. I guess the expendable people are given red shirts so that the enemy knows who to shoot.
Probably the best part about Star Trek is that it doesn't really require you to watch all the episodes in order. I would of course recommend watching the early half of season one in order, but after that, go wild. The episodes are always contained within themselves (with maybe one exception throughout the series), so you can watch whichever one you want whenever.
The biggest problem with the episodes though is that the main plot of the episode takes about 15-20 minutes to get to (very slow build) and then in the last 5 minutes of the hour long episode, everything is suddenly resolved. By that, I mean that we go from them talking about the issue, and then in the last 5 minutes, there's all the action, then the closure for the episode. It gets a bit tiring to watch the episodes multiple ones at a time because of that.
All in all, it's a good show that you should definitely look into if you're into science fiction. It may surprise you how many references are made to Star Trek: The Original Series in other very famous science fiction movies.
Ok that's it for this time on "What's On?" Now, I will start watching shows that were around for much longer, but hopefully I'll avoid having such a large gap as this last one between postings. So yeah, tune in next time for more good watches.

I LIED, PLEASE FORGIVE ME!
Twas not intentional twas not! I know I promised you a "What's On?" segment last "Wednesday or Thursday, but knowing me, just expect Wednesday," but I underestimated how much time it would take me to find time to watch 4 episodes amongst the week of much business. I don't know if anyone cared or noticed because I have only had one post of that type to this date and I don't remember how well it was recieved. Anyway, I do promise (for sure this time) to post one this week. I'm not sure how long I expect this post to be, so I'll just spare you the details and I'll get right into it. Oh, and I'll be posting a couple pictures sometime after this post just for reference to things mentioned in the post.
Monday:
The ceremony was nice and I even got to give a speech about Red which was cool because he's been a really cool guy throughout scouting and I thanked him on behalf of my generation of scouts and I could tell he was starting to cry. I was happy that I moved him because I spoke in monotone again without realizing it. Also, I had my first attempt at bugling going in cold after about a year and a half or more of not playing. Needless to say, I epic failed on the opening. The closing, I told the guy calling not to bring me in because I didn't want to risk messing up and the room we were in was so short, the flags would be in their final place by the time I finished the first measure of the song (actually not exaggerating that!).
Tuesday:
On Tuesday, I spent the whole afternoon kind of studying off and on for psych. When I wasn't doing that, I was studying some new parts Doug had me doing for Jazz Band. He puts the songs we're playing online so we can always study them. It's been very helpful actually. I listen to them every day even when I don't have time to practice. It's good to just have the tune in your head.
Wednesday:
Ok that was strange, a phantom "Tuesday:" just appeared below that last paragraph. I don't know why or how, but it did. Anyway, Wednesday was pretty intense. I had the psych test, which went pretty well. After class though I had a lot of homework. I was determined to finish all my micro homework (and there was a lot) that day so I wouldn't have any and so I could enjoy my home aloneness for the whole weekend. It took from 1pm through about 9pm, but I finally got it done and I suppose it was worth it, though I won't do that much on one day in the future.
Thursday:
We had the special "second chance" in psych where you redo the multiple choice section with all your notes and stuff for a chance to get 2 extra points if you get them all right. I worked with Steven and his friend from another class, Ben(Tim) and we got them all right, which was pretty cool. After school, I met grandpa for lunch at Costco, then I hung some stuff up at his place, then I went home to see my family off and then the aloneness began. I promptly moved my computer into the TV room and hooked it up to the TV. It didn't last very long because soon after I started some Starcraft, I alt tabbed out of it to see a gchat message and the TV no longer recognized my computer at that same second. After trying to get it back, I gave up and went back to my original plan of having the computer screen at such an angle that it seemed side by side with my TV so I got some cool duel screen action going. I got in 2 of the 4 remaining episodes for What's On, but then it was late so I went to bed.
Friday:
I turned off my alarm in my sleep. It hadn't happened for a while, but now the streak of that is broken. We got our tests back in psych, but I didn't for obvious reasons. I did make it to French though, but the cute girl that sits in front of me was not there. After school, Steven and I went to the UW to hang out with the asians. Sai and I played pool for a while and I actually did better than I usually do. Eventually, Ben and Steven played some ping pong. During that time, Sai randomly disappeared for about 20 minutes only to later reveal it was because he had run across campus to tell Ahmad a story of a guy that he saw peeing like Starman. Eventually, Ben had to go to a Starcraft tournament. We stayed for a game, but then we went back home. I spent the rest of the night enjoying the peace and quiet.
Saturday:
I picked up grandpa again for lunch because he had the Troop 853 Eagle banner, which my aunt had had at her house to sew my name on it. Now I am forever immortalized right below Davis on that grand banner that still smells like old farts for some unknown reason (actually the reason is that it's probably never been washed and we've had it since at least 1977). We had lunch at Costco, then I picked up Sai on my way home. Well I was going to, but he was making rice cakes using A MORTAR AND PESTILE!!!11 It was not as extreme as it sounds, but he did make a batter that looked suspiciously like semen and had the same consistency. After he finished (heh!), we brought some old game systems to my house since he had to put a bunch of them in the shed because his father got mad. He's letting me borrow his NES cables to make the one I found at my grandpa's house functional. We played some Mario Bros. 3 before moving to Contra after learning my cartridge for Duck Hunt was messed up and we would be unable to use the light pistol. After that, we went to Zombieland with Steven and then the rest of the asians met us there. Sai forgot his ID, but managed to get in anyhow. Zombieland was actually surprisingly good. I found myself laughing more audibly at a theater than usual. I would totally recommend seeing it though. After that, we all went to Red Robin and ate a meal without claiming it was someone's birthday for once. It was also nice to see Josh because as Steven put it "There was never a lull in the conversation." After all of that, Sai and I came back here and we played some Halo until falling asleep, then the next morning we played some more. When we got bored of Halo, we did some Contra and got pretty far, then we had to go because I had to go to the Eagle ceremony. I picked up Bohdan on my way since I was dropping off Sai. I messed up one note on the opening and the closing was nearly perfect, so I was rather pleased. The ceremony was pretty nice, but I wouldn't expect any less from that family. Afterwards, I dropped Bohdan off at Syre to take pictures for his Eagle project while I went to get Sai's laptop that he left over, then I dropped Bohdan off. I spent the last few hours until my parents came back just playing some games and watching some TV.
Today:
I got to French and the guy that sits next to me (who's actually a pretty cool dude) asked me "So did you finish the homework?" Thinking he was putting me on (since I had forgotten the first 3 assignments so far), I said "Haha, you can't fool me that easily." As he persisted though, I gave in and asked which assignment he met. Turned out, he wasn't kidding. It was a 8 page packet we got on Friday. I'm now 0 for 4 in that class in case you're keeping count. It's getting to be really awkward. I guess now I'll get back to my onslaught of micro homework and then maybe I'll try to get ahead in psych by doing an assignment that's due next Monday or hell, maybe I'll get some French homework done for once. On second though, no I don't think I'll do that last one haha. I'll remember this time, righT?
Don't forget, I owe you a new segment sometime this week. Poke me with rusty cattle prods if I don't do it. Peace out.

::The post of the week is below::
(To the best of my memory)
*Steven, Davis, and I are deciding where to vanquish*
Steven: Ok, it looks like we can do Ice Floe or Tasca's Demise and Mineral Springs.
Steven: I don't really care what we do. David, what do you want?
Me: I don't really care either, let's have Davis decide.
Davis: I don't really care.
Me: Well pick a letter.
Davis: V
Me: ...Pick another letter
Davis: What? You told me to pick a letter, did I not do exactly that?
Me: Yeah I guess I should have been more specific, pick another letter.
Davis: X
Me: God dammit, pick a real letter!
Davis: That is a real letter! You're asking for a letter and I'm giving you that. None of the letters are what you want, what letter are you even looking for?
Me: Fine, fine, I'll be more specific.
Me: Pick a vowel-
Davis: U
Me: That isn't U!
Davis: Y
Me: GOD DAMNIT, PICK A REAL VOWEL.
Davis: WHAT THE HELL, Y IS A REAL VOWEL.
Me: It's a sometimes vowel! I don't want no bitch-ass vowel, pick a real vowel!
Davis: X
Me: You already guessed X!
Davis: Yeah, but since you didn't know Y was a vowel, I doubt your knowledge of our alphabet and for all I know, X might be a vowel to you!
Me: Ok, ok, pick a vowel THAT ISN'T Y OR U.
Davis: Ok, I pick E, the most common letter in the English language.
Me: Ok finally, shit. That was an ordeal.
Steven: Damn, I should have been recording this.
Davis: Yeah, David not being specific enough.
*later, after discussing aggro*
Davis: I pick another letter, it's D, which stands for David and Dick!
Me: did you watch the rvb?
Steven: ya
Sent at 10:23 PM on Monday
Steven: good chat
Sent at 10:26 PM on Monday
Me: thanks, i thought so too
it's like living out one of my dreams
Steven: hahaha
Me: but someday Bret Favre will retire
Me: he'll retire when john and kate plus 8 retire
Orion: that won't happen for a while
Orion: i mean hell they're divorced and they're still doin a show together or "separated"
Me: no didn't you hear?
Me: john got fired a couple weeks ago
Orion: really?
Me: yeah
Me: the headline today
Me: Jon Raids Bank Account? Kate says Jon left her with almost nothing.
Me: WHICH SHOULDN'T BE A HEADLINE
Orion: how did he get fired from his own show?
Me: someone needs to assassinate these people and call CPS for their kids
Me: because he's not a family man and it's a family show
Me: and they're going to make a spinoff show called "John plus monthly visitation privileges"
Orion: lol

This week will probably wind up being nice.
Howdy all. Last week was not bad, but this week (especially the end) promises to be very good. What's going on? My parents and my sister are going to some cabin on some beach on some lake somewhere with their friends. I would know more, but frankly, I really could care less. They asked if I wanted to come along and I was basically like most definitely not. So they leave Thursday immediately after Kathryn gets out, so I'll have the house to myself from Thursday afternoon to Sunday night. I have some big plans that include enjoying the lack of mom blasting Rascal Flats or some broadway show tune and I will also enjoy moving my computer into the TV room for the weekend. Ok, enough getting excited about that, I'll post on it next week. Before I get into this past week, I should tell you to expect a "What's On?" post this week as I am almost done. I have four episodes left to watch and after my test on Wednesday, I should have time to post. I would say expect the post to come on Wednesday or Thursday, but knowing me, just expect Wednesday. I'm going to post in terms of my classes for each week until I really start doing interesting things during the week.
Psychology:
I spent the whole week transposing jazz tunes during class. It was a nice way to keep myself busy when I wasn't taking notes (I listen in class, but don't take notes).
French:
The girls are still hot. Another cute girl started sitting in front of the guy that sits next to me (next to that other cute girl), but she hasn't been there in a couple of days now. That guy that sits next to me is actually a pretty cool guy. Other than that, I'm making good progress with learning the language.
Jazz Band:
Doug had me doing all those transpositions for the pieces, but they are sounding really cool and he's happy with them. I talked to our piano player (who looks really familliar) and he did indeed know Davis and I think he said he lived near him on campus as well. I didn't catch that part as much. He's really nice though. Today, Doug played a clip of a song for us that had violins in it and the cool bass player (who was in it last year) leaned over to me and said "Sounds like another instrument we don't have, you don't happen to play violin too do you?" It was pretty funny. Actually, Jazz band has been fun this year. The people aren't as awesome as last year, but Doug for whatever reason is much happier this year and isn't a dick. We're all starting to notice.
Microbiology and Band:
Why did I put these two together? They haven't been interesting enough to warrant a post about. There's your reason.
Friday:
It was the start of the bonus weekend for vanquishing in Guild Wars. Steven and I vanquished until 9:00, then we both watched Stargate Universe. I really liked it (because the background was similar to Mass Effect's background) and it was helpful to have Steven answering my (I'm sure many) questions. I'm going to keep watching it unless it gets really terrible, which I doubt will happen. After that, we vanquished.
Saturday:
I went to Joel's Eagle project. Danny McCoy came by during it and said hi. I hardly recognized him at first and I was surprised he recognized me, but it was cool to see him. Joel ran his project well and we actually got the whole thing done on time. After that, dad and I went and dropped off a rug at my aunt's house, then came home. That night, my family went to see the Informant, which was really funny. After that, I came home and vanquished.
Sunday:
I spent most of the day homeworking and watching football. It was really uneventful, but I was happy to actually get the Saints to play for once. I also popped above third place in our fantasy football league, but that is soon to change because Orion has 2 players playing today and one of them is Adrian Peterson. I had a bad week though since my best players were on a bye week, so I'm happy to have stayed in as much as I have through that all.
Today:
I woke up and realized I had forgotten to do my 17 pages of French out of the workbook (I can already see disastrous possibilities for this in the future) and I did them during psychology in time for French. In Jazz Band, we got through a couple tunes and got a new one (the orchestral one). Tonight, I'm skipping band to go to my last scout meeting ever. Red is retiring from the troop, which means dad and I will be as well. From now on, if I go to a scouting event, it will be an Eagle project or an Eagle ceremony.
Ok well on Wednesday, I'll give you a post. I'm also posting some quotes right after this post. Until later, peace out.

Steven on a lack of people to pvp with in Guild Wars:
Steven: We need more gamers, less gaymers
Keir shows me douchey picture of himself:
Keir: have you seen this douchebag?
Me: His face seems eerily familliar.
Me: What did you write on your chest?
Me: I can only make out the word fuck.
Keir: Fuck bitches, get money.
Keir: Although, since I'm British, it should be:
Keir: Intercourse females, acquire currency!

It begins! (yet again)
Well the new school year has started. Already I find I have made a mistake, making this quarter's schedule Psychology and French with Jazz Band and Microeconomics, making for a very easy quarter. Hopefully the next two won't be difficult as I will be filling them with more...academic classes (not to say I don't need the ones I'm in, I just should have spaced them out). Anyway I'm going to lay out my classes first and then I'll get into the weekend since you can assume that my weekday afternoons are now spent gaming/homeworking. The day before school started was pretty uneventful in case you're wondering. I just helped grandpa with some stuff around the house and then I headed home to take the last few hours before I had to go to bed to myself.
Campus life:
The parking is terrible this year. It was always bad at the start of every quarter last year, but this year is crazy. It's persisting too, which worries me because I don't like parking so far away from school. Hopefully people will start dropping like flies eventually and I'll once again get to park significantly closer to the school. Other than that, not much has changed, activists continue to plague the campus which I hate because I don't want to see hitler Obama pictures up everywhere I go.
Psychology (9:30-10:20 Daily):
This class will be fun because Steven wound up getting in, so that makes the class good by just having that happen. The professor also seems to be a really cool guy that has a good sense of humor, so that's also good. Throughout the quarter, there are 4 homework assignments and 6 tests, 5 of which will be graded (meaning that if you get 100% on the first 5 tests, you can just skip the final and it won't matter) so that could potentially be very awesome as that is my only class that actually has a final exam during finals week.
French (10:30-11:20 Daily):
The professor happens to be the mother of one of my mom's former students, which was kind of coincidental and mostly uninteresting, but my mom found much amusement in that fact, so whatever works I guess. She's a nice lady and good at speaking French (boy I would hope so) and I think the class will go well. There are also quite a lot of hot girls in the class. I wound up sitting next to (well he sat next to me) a cool gamer and there's a cool indie kind of girl (stephanie-esque but hotter than she currently is) that sits in front of me, but a guy might have taken her so I'm content with where I am anyway. This is also the same room that Business Law and Great Works of Asian Literature were in (I just can't get away from the room!) so I took my trusty seat in the back right corner haha.
Jazz Band (11:30-12:20 Daily):
We lost our whole sax section, so now the trumpets are Doug's go-to section which has its ups and downs. We also got a new guy who seems really cool and he's older than the guy I used to stand next to. Doug also decided that with a lack of trombones, he would make me play french horn on a few of our new songs. With Davis' help, I was able to transpose and despite sight reading them today, he seemed satisfied with the work I did. Jazz french horn could definitely be awesome if I get better at it.
Microeconomics (Online):
My professor is a funny guy and he really likes to make jokes every chance he gets and fortunately for him and the whole class, they are almost always actually funny. Microeconomics is WAY more interesting than accounting and if I weren't so interested in Law already and already so far in my business major, I would have changed my Business major to economics major. Actually, I may be looking into that still, it's more important I get into UW next year than change majors like this, but if it's easy enough I might look into it.
Concert Band (7:00-9:30pm Mondays):
Yeah this old thing. My section seems mostly unchanged, so that's nice because we all work well together. I only went to one of our two optional practices because last week I had a toothache and I was worried about doing well for jazz band. We have 3 concerts in one quarter which I know I'm up to doing, but I wonder about some of the other people. Tonight is the first official rehearsal, so I'm interested to see how we do tonight.
Saturday:
Dad and I went to see Lewis Black, my favorite comedian and the guy that inspired my short lived "Things I Hate" segment (after realizing I don't really hate things). He was of course very funny and I'm glad I finally got the chance to go see him perform.
Sunday:
Football day! I went to Will's eagle ceremony though during the Seahawks game. I had to speak about the trail to eagle, so nothing too big. It was a small ceremony and we were in and out in 45 minutes. After that, I watched more football and transposed music during that.
Well that's it for this week. I'll probably go now to play Guild Wars or something so peace out.

Almost school starting time
Well school starts on Wednesday and I guess I'm ready for it. I don't think it will make much of a difference in my schedule other than I won't be able to sleep in. The classes seem like they will not be homework intensive, so hopefully I'll get some time to play Guild Wars and whatnot. Well I guess this post won't be too long so I'll hop into the week.
Tuesday:
After working Thursday through Monday, I decided that I would take Tuesday off, so I did and I just played some KotOR and Guild Wars.
Wednesday:
I met grandpa at Costco for lunch and then I went back to his house and hung some pictures after taking him to my aunt's house to organize it a bit while he petted the cats. Unfortunately while we were there, he fell down, but he is okay. He even went to the doctor a couple days later and the doctor says he has the hip of a much younger man (I must get my 18 Con. from him). After hanging pictures for a while, I ran out of nails so I went home.
Thursday:
Grandpa went to the fair, so I had the day off. I spent the day not doing very much.
Friday:
I went shopping with dad, my aunt, and grandpa for a new walker since his old one went to hell. We got him a nice new one as an early birthday present (his birthday was the next day). After that, I went to my aunt's house to take some stuff she needed out of the pod and to put a lot of stuff she didn't back in it. After that, I came home and played some Guild Wars.
Saturday:
I met grandpa at the mall then we went back to Aljoya and had lunch there. After that, I finished hanging pictures and we waited for the party to start. He invited a lot of people, but it was raining so only family showed up. We watched the huskies get an awesome win over USC which was pretty awesome. After dinner, we all went home.
Sunday:
I spent the whole day at home. I spent pretty much the whole afternoon playing Guild Wars with Steven and Davis. Steven and I have gotten into pvp again and hopefully someday Davis and Orion will join us.
Today:
I had a dentist appointment, but nothing else really happened. I'm waiting for team arenas to start with Steven right now and maybe Davis will get on later so we can do another mission. Until later though, not much will be up, so I'll see y'all later.

Heh, it sure has been a while, hasn't it?
Why hello, I have returned to word posting. I originally planned on doing it last week, but then I posted the pictures and I didn't want to make a huge word post right afterwards and then from Thursday on, I was busy all day every day. I actually have some time to myself today by which I mean I'm working again, but I took the morning off and I won't work too long because I have band tonight (fun fun (not)). I also will have the luxury of working alone today, which will be a nice change of pace. I guess I'll get into the post then since it might be a bit long. In case you are wondering, yes, I am getting back into regular posting with the school year starting again next Wednesday, so expect new posts every Monday, or at least a very flimsy excuse why I didn't.
9/1:
I think that was the day I played Mass Effect all day and "I'm pretty sure I'm right about that and that's that."
9/2:
Dad and I met Grandpa for lunch and then dad left back for work and I took him home and cleaned up his house a bit more for the move that was coming up. That night, we had our last DnD session. It was short, but just long enough for my character to die. This wasn't a totally stupid death like my last character though (the one that crawled in a giant ant anthole and (surprise surprise) was killed by giant ants). This time, we were talking about how we had no leads on our main quest and then Davis told me I saw someone I recognized moving through the crowd. I quickly pursued him and it led to me being separated from the group and being alone. In retrospect, I should have realized that Davis was making it oddly hard to track down someone that I thought was so crucial to the plot, but oh well. My character's dead now and a very important item he was carrying is lost with him. My new character is going to be a druid because I decided it's time for someone else to be the meat shield in combat and also because I CAN BECOME A FUCKING DINOSAUR!!!!! Anyway, I'm in no particular hurry to get that character made though because we probably won't play until next summer anyway due to Orion's lame winter break schedule. If we're lucky though we might actually get one or two sessions in during our winter breaks, so I'll try to have it done by then.
9/3:
I went to the Seahawks game with Grandpa. We were facing the Raiders and we totally won. It was a good game.
9/4:
I woke up earlier than usual and picked up everyone and we went to PAX and got in the big queue to make sure we got our concert tickets. Eventually, Pyramid Head and Company showed up and we waited with them. Davis got PMed by way of inflatable ball while in the line and that was the only really interesting thing that happened while there. After that, we headed up to the expo hall because it was right in front of us. We looked at all the booths, then somehow everyone just split up which worked out pretty well. Sai got asked to pose for pictures and started practicing his new pose, just randomly putting his hand around the other person's (who was a stranger to him) neck. One girl told him he touched her inappropriately to which he responded "No, but I could if you want." It was apparently the Pewter Pyramid Head of +2 Confidence and -2 Perception (there were some rather comedic visibility issues).
After a while, we went to the LucasArts cantina to hang out and Davis and I got some greenscreen pictures. It was a cool room and I struck up a conversation with a girl who noticed my Mass Effect shirt. After a while, I had been away from the group for a while, so I awkwardly ended it and Orion said something that I forget but I remember we both agreed that if she was a bit hotter, I should have gotten her number or something. After that, the group split up again and then we were left with just the 4 of us and we headed down to the DnD place to play DnD. Our other two people didn't show up, so John and his fiance joined us for our second game with the cool dungeon master. We got 3 hours worth in, plenty for the whole weekend IMCO. We then had enough tokens to buy miniatures, which we held off on because they sucked on Friday. After going back into the expo hall again for a while, we went to break the DS world record which was hot, sweaty, stinky and too long. We at least broke it though, that was nice.
After that, we didn't do much until we went to the concerts. We came in late to the first band (Agamemnon or something) which was fine by me because I didn't like their music. We watched all of Metroid Metal. Ok so I'm not really a Metal type of guy, but I generally like Metroid Metal. I didn't exactly like this though because the room didn't really carry the sound very well and it was just a lot of noise the whole time and I just spent the time playing Fire Emblem. We headed home after that.
9/5:
We got going an hour later because we didn't need to get in line for concert tickets that time. The added hour of sleep was much appreciated by my body and I'm sure everyone else enjoyed it too (those of us that actually were able to sleep through the night (probably just Steven and I)). When we got to PAX, we hung out around the top floor waiting for it to open, then went to PC freeplay for some L4D, which is pretty damn fun I must say. I kind of want to get the game, but I don't want to pay too much for it, especially since I pretty much beat the whole game over the course of the weekend at PAX. After doing that, we went down to the expo hall to do another swag run. Steven and Orion left during that time to do some Tetris thing and to watch (not sure what Orion was doing actually), leaving Davis, Sai, and I. We decided to go learn munchkins. They only had the superhero spinoff version which was really complicated and not very fun. On top of that, I had to pee, but I didn't want to leave and hurt Davis' feelings (at the time), so I was kind of not trying very hard to win. Eventually, everyone found us and we hung out as a group, then split up again after dinner.
While wandering around the expo hall with the four of us plus Chris, this weird lady in a walker comes up and she awkwardly lingers around Davis looking at his sign. Then she finally gathers the courage to talk to him and he explains the meaning of GLF (at that point for the 1,000,000,000th time) and she starts to walk away and I was awkwardly looking away and making an awkward face at Orion and I guess while I was doing that, she laid a kiss on Davis' cheek. Mind you, this girl was a total 203 (and I'm being nice). I turn away from her to hid the face of awkwardness I'm making at Orion when my bag hit something so I turn my head a bit more. I used my periphs to see that IT WAS HER STILL THERE. Hoping she didn't see the faced I was making, I kept turned away from her when suddenly, she plants a wet kiss on my cheek. It was terrible; if you know me, you know I have a thing about germs like that and that was just gross to get that. She then gives Orion a kiss too and during this, Chris and Steven have backed up and Chris just has this look of horror on his face. She then faces them with her back to me and asks for permission to kiss them. "Anyone want another one?" She said. I was like "I DIDN'T WANT ONE!" but I was too polite to say that out loud. She wound up giving them each one. I took the first chance I could to wipe the germs off on the next booth over. After that experience, I started carrying sanitizing spray with me in public areas. It was gross.
So yeah I wrote a lot about that up in that paragraph haha so as you can tell that was really the only notable thing that happened that day. The rest of the day was spent in and out of PC freeplay and console freeplay doing some CoD4. There were hot girls from bumbershoot on the bus ride back that were really nice, but the bus driver was not good and it was really hot and I had only eaten one meal at 2:30 in the afternoon that day so I was getting a little sick on the bus and I was not talking as much with them as I would have liked. Orion did well though, so not all was lost.
9/6:
I slept through my alarm and woke up 5 minutes before I was supposed to leave. Luckily, I've practiced for that situation many times in my past when I get ready very quickly and I left only 5 minutes behind schedule. Steven had the same problem I did too apparently, but I'll still take the blame for it since Steven usually has to take the blame for sleeping in on things. Anyway, we got to PAX pretty late because we had just missed the bus when we got there by 2 minutes and they came every half hour.
When we got to PAX, Eric, Steven, and I went to the Old Republic Demo which was really awesome and we got FREE KotOR for PC! My favorite console game ever for free on PC, very awesome. After that, we went to go do some tabletop games. Orion left for packing and New York. Davis, Steven, Sai, Eric, and I checked out the Starcraft board game, but it quickly became apparent that we were not going to learn the rules even by the time PAX got out, so we set up an epic battle, then returned it and got Munchkins. It was much more fun this time around. I would definitely play it again, but I would not buy it. After that, we lagged around the expo hall until PAX ended. It was a good year this year and I was very happy with the swag I got.
9/7:
Dad and I spent the whole day at Grandpa's house prepping him for the move on the 12th.
9/8 and 9/9:
I spent the whole days just posting pictures and playing Mass Effect or Guild Wars.
9/10:
I called Grandpa to meet him at Costco, but he wanted me to come to the grocery store trip with him for Aljoya. I'm glad I went because I met this cool girl my age(ish) that works for the company and drives the bus. All the residents and staff are getting to know me now, which is a little odd because I don't live there, but it's fine I suppose. I also like hanging out with this girl while we're on outings because she's pretty cool and it gives Grandpa time to do whatever he wants. Anyway, after the grocery store run, we went to Costco for other things we needed and then we (I) worked more on packing his stuff up to go on the 12th. I stayed until around dinnertime.
9/11:
I did pretty much the same thing again. I met my aunt at my Grandpa's house, then we went and searched for him, which didn't take long because he just hadn't left Aljoya yet. After that, we went back to the house and I packed and we waited for him to show up. After that, I kept packing until about 9pm.
9/12:
I got up early and dad and I headed out to Grandpa's house and later my second cousin showed up, then my mom, then my cousin with his horse trailer. We actually got pretty much everything in one trip over to grandpa's new place. (Henceforth, the place referred to as "Grandpa's house" shall now be referred to as "My Aunt's House" and Aljoya is now called "My Grandpa's Place.") We took a while to get everything settled, but it's mostly figured out now. After that, everyone left and mom and dad had a dinner party with his boss, so I stuck around and had dinner with my aunt and grandpa. We picked up Kathryn from a birthday party after that and she came over to see grandpa's new place
9/13:
I went to the Seahawks game with grandpa. It was a good game, though I wish Josh Brown had gotten some field goals because I needed him to for my fantasy team. After that, I worked at grandpa's house and had dinner with him (dad and mom and Kathryn were there too) until about 9:00.
Today:
Well today I had the morning off, but now I have to drop the truck off at the mechanic's, then I'll go over to my aunt's house and I'll organize the house a bit more, but then I have to come back because band starts today. I guess that's it for now, I'll see y'all later, peace out.
9/1:
I think that was the day I played Mass Effect all day and "I'm pretty sure I'm right about that and that's that."
